Yesterday at your store, I witnessed something truly disturbing. An elderly woman had her wallet…read morestolen right out of her handbag while she was looking at birthday cards. Her cart was full of gifts she was about to buy. When she reported it at checkout, an employee with a walkie-talkie and black short hair with small braids came over. She needed someone Spanish speaking to help. I stepped in to translate since the area is mostly Spanish-speaking. This employee had a cold, military-style attitude zero empathy. Zero effort to calm the customer.When I asked her to check the cameras, she claimed there weren't any. Her tone got confrontational, so I kept calmly asking her to please check or call loss prevention. I told her to relax as her voice got a bit higher,but she just walked away, leaving the poor elderly lady standing there frantic and alone. Another very kind Spanish-speaking employee came to the counter and asked the customer what she needed then the employee with the walker talkie spoke rudely to the employee and asked her to go back to her work because she was not a supervisor and couldn't help the customer, it's just the way she speaks to people that's now how people in retail are supposed to be she just looked annoyed and mad prior to this interaction. That's when I stepped in again and told the employee she didn't need to be so nasty to her own employee very demeaning -- all that was needed is customer service and empathy just treat a customer at your store with respect they had their belongings stolen in your store show you care. I ended up in a back-and-forth with her, then walked away because I was there with my own elderly mom. A few minutes later, we were still at the handicap counter and that poor woman was still frantically digging through her purse over and over. The manager was nowhere to be found the entire time I was there! There has to be more accountability with employees when it comes to customers That employee seriously needs customer service training. She showed zero empathy, and that's just not right!

The founders of this privately held company are staunchly Christian, Hobby Lobby isn't open on Sundays to allow their employees time for church and family, the company has been accused of financially supporting anti-LGBT causes and issues, and its stores being void of items pertaining to other faiths or religions aside from Christianity. This is the first time I've been to one of their stores, and I came here primarily because they were advertising a 40% off sale for a specific item I was looking for. This Hobby Lobby location is large, and quite frankly I think I spent nearly an hour just walking up and down the aisles and perusing all they had for sale. It's kind of akin to Michael's, with a bit of JoAnn Fabrics and even an amount of Home Goods sprinkled in. This store carries an array of merchandise from seasonal items to fabrics to lots of stuff for hobbyists to home decor. I ended up finding some fabric I needed and a cheery, outgoing woman was there to cut it to length for me and give me a hand-written charge slip to give the folks when I was ready to check out and pay. While it's obvious who this company is owned by after seeing the the amount of Christian items for sale, the church hymns playing in the store (I recognized "A Closer Walk With Thee" playing in the background at one point while I was shopping) and even some decor items that obviously cater to a specific segment of the population (see posted photos), I ended up buying a few items I found here. My primary critical comments would be that they didn't have enough checkout lines open for the amount of people who were lined up to pay. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, Hobby Lobby tends to offer sales fairly often, but those 40% off "sales" seem to reduce the prices marked on the various items in this store down to the amount they should normally cost in reality.

Where do you begin..I came without a plan and just to see what I liked and go from there. The store is huge. Sectioned properly so its very organized. They have wood, laminate, and so many flooring options and tiles for in and outdoor in so many colors, patterns, etc. They even have vanities, sinks, fixtures in different styles and colors. I loved just walking around and taking pictures. All the staff are so helpful and willing to help you choose or even put a whole room ogether for you from top to bottom. I left with several ideas but am planning on coming back for more. I found it so fun and all these ideas were helpful.

Last time I came in I bought about $60 in items (even though I was unemployed). After paying the owners offered to take some of my money to be placed in a red envelope to be blessed for the Chinese new year. I thanked them and gave them a bill. They asked me to come back after the new year with my ID to pick it up. I came to pick it up and was asked to buy a salt water cure. I had a family friend get one for me so I didn't need to buy one, and I politely declined. The lady literally raised her voice at me screaming saying that next time I can get my bill blessed somewhere else and its by me buying salt water cures that her business is maintained. (eyebrow raise) I didn't realize that the owners secretly expected me to buy a $30 item from their store in order to pick up a $5 bill that was blessed (looks like they had a box full of 100+ other bill envelopes for their other customers so they simply included mine in the batch). They never mentioned at that time that I needed to buy something when picking up my envelope (I just had to bring my ID they said) - I thought they had offered kindly since I made a purchase at their store. They spread around so much negative energy at the time of pickup that they ruined my experience at their store. I have always come to visit this store with respect and kindness only to be met with this clown show today. Unbelievable that a feng shui business that is supposed to promote harmony, health, and prosperity would consider treating their customer this way. If you're a feng shui master and you're great at what you do, you should know how to harness your knowledge and abilities to bring abundance to you and therefore there should be no worry if one person didn't buy your salt water cure this time around. Too bad they lost a customer. I'm not coming back. **Update: The store owners responded below, but I promise you what I said is true and there was no misunderstanding. I was literally screamed at for not purchasing a salt water cure. I asked 4 times if I could just provide my ID to get the blessed bill that was gifted to me and each time I asked I was met with contention and screaming. There is NOTHING HUMBLE about that. Lies from the owner to try to make up for the mess they made.

Mrs Lihn gave me specific guidance and recommendations on what and where to place / move certain objects in my house in order to have better benefits in many and specific areas of my life and those around me. Specifically, one of the areas that has been affecting me is my love life, for which Mrs. Lihn took the time and care to prepare a beautiful "Love Box" with specific crystals, coins, and amulets (assigned to my and my husband's Chinese zodiac signs).
