I shop at Ross often and usually have a good experience, but this visit at ( Rengatroff Ave) was disappointing. I went to return an item and the associate ( Marcela) was rude and unprofessional no greeting no explanation just attitude. It left a bad impression and made the entire interaction uncomfortable. This young gal continued to be very condescending, no problem skills whatsoever.I hope this is addressed as basic courtesy should be standard.

DON'T GO TO THIS HORRIBLE STORE

On Saturday March 1st, 2025. My sister got off of work and she needed to go and buy more pants for work. She decided to go to the Ross in Mountain View 230pm. She was looking around the store and found 3 pair of jean pant that she wanted to try on. She decided to go to the fitting room to try the pants on. She had a total of 3 pants. There was 2 jean pants and one black pair of pants. There was a women standing in front of my sister who had some clothes that she wanted to try on. My sister went into the fitting room and tried on all the pants and she comes out and the employee who was a short Hispanic woman who was in her late 50 or early 60's wearing glasses, with light brown hair. When my sister came out of the dressing room she approached my sister and said to her "You had 4 pair of pants." My sister said "No I didn't I only had 3 pair of pants." The employee accused my sister of stealing pants. The Ross employee starting patting my sister down touching her legs, going into her pants pulling her night pants that my sister wears underneath her sweats because she's always cold. My sister was highly upset. She kept telling the lady that she did not have 4 pair or pants she only had 3. The disrespectful employee snatched my sister's pants out of her hands and throw them into a basket. My sister was getting really loud with her and my sister said in a loud tone "What is your problem? I need to speak to your manager now. I said I need to speak with your manager right now." The women just walked away from my sister and she would not listen to her when she told her that she did not have 4 pair of pants she only had 3. My sister proceeded to the front of the store and asked to speak with a manager. She tried to tell the manager Tanya who is a Hispanic women who's heavy set, her English is that good simply ignored my sister. She clearly did not care about what transpired with my sister. My sister called me and told me everything that happened and I drove down to Mountain View and went to the fitting room to speak to the women that touched and disrespected my sister. She refused to come out and apologize to my sister. I went back to the front of the store and I asked to speak with the manager and she was helping customers instead of getting another employee so she can see exactly what happened to my sister. I finally got her attention, and I told her if she did not go get the employee so she can explain what transpired I was going to call the police, and we were going to file a complaint and file charges against the employee. Tanya the Hispanic women said that she was going to go to the back and speak with the employee. My sister and I were waiting for more than 20 minutes for the manager to come back to the front. I decided to call the store and ask for the manager and she picked up the call. She said she will be with back in the front in a minute. She finally came out and apologized. She said that she reviewed the camera and said she's going to call the police. I said good! Okay what did she say and why isn't she up here apologizing to my sister? She said she spoke with the employee and she said it was a misunderstanding. There was 2 people that went into the dressing room and the other women said that she had 4 items to try on and got confused. I said "That is no excuse for her to touch my sister and snatch the clothes out of her hands like she did." Tanya said she's going to call the police and let them handle it. My sister and I was waiting more than 20 minutes for the cops to come and guess what they never came. The manager Tanya came up to my sister and said " Oh wow they're taking such a long time they should've been here by now." So I started thinking that she never contacted the police. I decided to call the Mountain View police department and I told the officer exactly what happened this was at 3:31pm. I asked the officer did the manager of Ross contacted them. She said "No we did not receive a phone call to come out to that location." The manager never called the police. The manager is a liar and I have no respect for her. There was 2 officers that showed up. One was a African American male and the other was a Hispanic female officer. We gave our details to the officer and the female officer went inside of the store to speak to the manager and the employee. She returned 10 minutes later and said that she reviewed the footage and couldn't see what happened. She also said that the Fitting Room employee asked permission from my sister to search her body. This employee lied. My sister NEVER GAVE HER PERMISSION to search or touch any parts of her body. If she gave her permission to do anything like that she wouldn't have called me and got really upset. I will never go back to this store. This store has nothing but a racist manager and racist employees who discriminates against African American people with dreads. Don't shop here! The manager does not care about the customers.

the Mountain View Ross store is Always trashed stuff be everywhere very unorganized and the store manager Gwen is so rude I Had Interactions with her and she doesn't know how to talk to customers..so if Yu go to this Ross be prepared for a bad experience

Be careful in the Mountain View Ross! As you can see there are thieves. The security pins were on the floor, anyone can step on them and really injure themselves. I have children, seriously, what is going on in this store. I nearly slipped bc the women's underwear are always on the floor. Random carts floating in the aisles and suitcases not on the shelves. Honestly, I don't know what happened to this store. It's gone down hill in recent years. The store is just messy, and the experience is not the best. They never have enough cashiers. This store needs a face lift.

At least 20 people in line

By far the worst Ross in the state of California, and that's coming from me visiting over 12 different Rosses just in the state of California so far and counting. Small little store, was perusing through the store and when I was finally ready to go pay, it was about 3:13pm on March 22. I was standing in line, behind 5 other customers (not together). Behind me there were about 3 other guests. At the time, there were only one register open, cashier's name was Nancy. The customers she was ringing up at the time had quite a bit of things. I get it, it's a small store so staffing is slim. As Nancy was still working on ringing up her current customer, the line started getting longer and longer. It got to a point there was at least 20 different parties waiting in line to cash out. I thought it was odd. Even the Lost Prevention person was confused. He did mention someone was on a lunch break. Another worker walk through one of the open registers and asked Nancy "should I open another register?" That alone, I thought that was a stupid question to ask when you have a lot people in line waiting to cash out as the line continued to get longer. Nancy replied, "go drop all those things off first in your hands and then come back and open up a register". I'm thinking, why not just drop it off behind the counter and start assisting customers to shorten the line down. Shake my head. Meanwhile, line is still getting longer. By the time it got to us to get rung up, 20 minutes later, we get to Nancy. She says "thank you for waiting" and starts ringing up our stuff. She scans 2 items and and looks over at her phone as she received a text. She says "I'm sorry, my manager is texting me, I'll be right back." I responded, "does your manager not see there's a long line of people trying to pay for their items?" Nancy proceeds "I'm sorry, I'll be right back". So we're basically waiting in line until she comes back. Meanwhile, the other register is going through people. We look at the other cashier with confusion as she rings up about 4 different customers that were behind us. We asked, "uh, can we get rung up next? Nancy needed to meet the manager and didn't bother to finish up with us first." The cashier looked confused as if she thought we were tryna cut the line when we were clearly in line before the people behind us and Nancy put us at a halt, while people behind us were going past us through the new register. A few more guests pass by, the cashier then tells the people in line, "I will ring this couple up as they were waiting before you, thank you for waiting" The newer cashier (sorry didn't catch her name) then says "I'm sorry for the wait, did you find everything you were looking for?" I wanted to say "yeah, where's the idiot manager who thought it was a great idea to take out one and the only cashier to the back while in the middle of the long line of people trying to pay" but I didn't, hence why we're here now. By the time we were done paying, Nancy still had not shown back to the register and I witnessed several customers walking out leaving their items in line on the shelves not wanting to wait any longer. It was the worst experience of my life in a retail store. Never going back there ever again.

It's probably the best bet to get a gift that is cute and unique but you want it to lean more towards being western and not too kawaii and anime. Think of gifting a punny keychain or cute Jellycat versus a Chiikawa plushie or anime acrylic if that makes sense. Meaning that it's probably easier and maybe more acceptable to get a slightly more normie a gift here than it is elsewhere. As you can see, I'm learning what it's like to touch grass and re-integrate into human society. There's a good number of plushies, Jellycat and unique ones like a pink fairy armadillo mole one, tote bags and socks, nice range of jewelry, lots of California themed goods if you're looking for souvenirs that aren't mega generic, and they have a lot of other items as well. As with the quality and high regard some of these items have (Jellycats are NOT cheap), it can be a bit pricier, so make sure that you shop around and check prices elsewhere and that you actually truly care about the person you're getting stuff for and it's not a forced obligation one (family member you're ugh with or coworker Secret Santa that you barely know). Maybe a couple cute things I had my eye on, but it wasn't really for me (speaks volumes about me), but I can see how a store like this works in a pinch if you're gift shopping.

I love that it offers a true boutique shopping experience without the boutique price tag, and I can usually count on finding something I love. Unfortunately, my experience today (3/18) fell short of what I've come to expect over the years. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted, which is something I've always appreciated in the past--it really sets a welcoming tone. Jocelyn eventually helped me into a dressing room, but along the way there were several missed opportunities for basic customer service. I was browsing with my arms full, and at no point was I offered help holding items or starting a fitting room, which would have made shopping easier. When I was ready to try things on, I was asked to sort and count my items due to the 6-garment limit. I completely understand and respect that policy as a way to manage inventory in a small business. However, during that process, a few items fell behind the counter and weren't addressed at the time. Once in the dressing room, there was no check-in to see how things were fitting or if I needed different sizes or colors--something I've consistently experienced and appreciated during past visits. I did ask to swap out items, and Jocelyn was helpful and pleasant in doing so. At checkout, the items that had fallen behind the counter were brought up again, and I was asked if I wanted to try them on. Since I was already dressed, I declined, but it would have been helpful if those had been handled earlier. There was only one other customer in the store, who had already checked out by the time I was in the fitting room, so it didn't seem particularly busy. I've always associated Bombshell Boutique with attentive, thoughtful service--being greeted, having items held, and receiving support in the dressing room. That level of care makes a big difference and is part of why I've been a loyal customer for so long. This visit just felt a bit lackluster in comparison. I'll definitely be back, but I hope this was just an off day.

Oz Boutique is at the corner of Main and Third in downtown Los Altos. I really prefer shopping in this type of a clothing store over places like Macys or Nordstroms simply because I can find pieces in Oz that I will probably not see on 14 other women I know. Among the many brands the store carries from France and Italy, I the one that is very creative is Aventures des Toiles. I have a few blouses by this designer, and I always receive compliments on them. They are the articles of clothing that I can dress up or down and feel like a million dollars when I wear them. There are several stylish dresses, pants, sweaters, and accessories available at Oz. The only reason that I did not rate the boutique 5 stars is that there always seems to be a lack of sizes larger than 8-10. I am a 12, so hopefully either the buyer will order more 12's or I will time it better to visit the store. I am fan of Oz in any event!

The store was somewhat busy on a Sunday morning, as there were other groups shopping and getting help from the staff. There seems to be a good variety in terms of lehengas. They had a lot of mix and match outfits. You pick out colors and they'll bring out options they think will make for a cohesive outfit (top, skirt, and scarf). I think this is good if you have a pretty specific vision for colors and styles, but we were just starting our search and would have liked a bit more guidance on styling and pricing. I think part of that was that it was like two staff members helping at least 2 other groups. Service was otherwise nice, and they did answer our questions when we had some. They also did not pressure us to buy anything, which we've experienced at other Indian clothing stores. The pricing for a lehenga set that includes top, skirt, and scarf is probably in the ~$150+ range, as you would be mixing and matching. I think in retrospect, after shopping at other stores, although mixing and matching can be nice, I personally preferred already matched sets since they seem more cohesive. We were also looking for kurtas and sherwanis. The staff kind of just showed us where they were located in the store. I remembered seeing prices approximately $300-$500 range for sherwanis. The nice part was that they gave us a sense for sizing, so that was helpful. It seems they have a lot of other outfits, jewelry, shoes, celebration items that we didn't look too much into. After shopping at a few other stores, I am actually not sure if they offer tailoring here, since they tended to pick out lehenga tops for my specific size, and not necessarily other sizes with styles. Might be worth asking if they do have tailoring. I am also not sure if a factor is that it would narrow the styles I would try on. I can imagine that it would be labor intensive and time consuming to take out a bunch of different sizes and styles, and then having to put them back. I didn't realize how intensive the process of buying/selling lehengas was before shopping here! The store is somewhat organized and it does have two fitting rooms for you to use. I can see how it can be hard to try things on if the store gets busier. The downside of trying things on here is that lighting isn't the best. Overall, I think this was a nice store to shop for Indian clothing!

I haven't seen designer shoes at this location for years now. It's unfortunate because that was one of my favorite aspects of shopping here. Now the only "designer" items, if you can call it that, they carry, are Kate Spade and Dooney and Bourke bags (which are hilariously kept locked in a glass case). I've seen the random higher end like Tiffany's keychain and Valentino sunglasses. But you're hard pressed to find any high-end designer items at this location. They do have a fabulous home section, though. Pillows and towels and decorative knickknacks at this location. And they actually do carry some great decorative furniture pieces too. I get some great deals on clothing for my six-year-old daughter. If she needs new clothes, this is my first stop before Target. I would say for the most part, the store is kept as organized as it can be considering how much product they have to put out in the space they have. The fitting rooms could be cleaner. There's always balls of dust on the floors in the fitting rooms. They could stand to run a vacuum through there every morning. I have always found the staff to be pleasant. The only annoying thing is when you are checking out they consistently ask if you want to get the Marshalls/TJ Maxx credit card. And they think they are enticing you with 10% off your purchase if you join. But if you actually do your homework, you'll see that the interest on their company's credit card is outrageous - making that 10% off irrelevant. Don't fall for it unless you plan on paying off your purchase immediately. Otherwise getting their credit card is kind of a trap.

There selection of St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day and Easter decor and gifts is exceptional. They had a lovely selection of wrapping paper. I found a roll that had strawberries all over it. I had to get one of those. The checkout line was not bad. They had plenty of employees at the checkout which made the line move fast. Everything in the store is displayed so nice and is very organized. I definitely recommend shopping here.
