Amazing Dress, amazing service! I needed to find a dress for an Indian wedding and I tried 4 other stores before this one... I'm 6'2 so finding something long enough was difficult and no one at the other stores even bothered to help me. Priyanshi is my go to person whenever I visit this shop. I am very particular when it comes to attire and accessories, and she somehow always knows what I'm looking for! We were shopping for a friend's wedding and my husband found this shop. This is the first time we were shopping for an Indian wedding. The store was somewhat busy on a Sunday morning, as there were other groups shopping and getting help from the staff. There seems to be a good variety in terms of lehengas. They had a lot of mix and match outfits. You pick out colors and they'll bring out options they think will make for a cohesive outfit (top, skirt, and scarf). I think this is good if you have a pretty specific vision for colors and styles, but we were just starting our search and would have liked a bit more guidance on styling and pricing. I think part of that was that it was like two staff members helping at least 2 other groups. Service was otherwise nice, and they did answer our questions when we had some. They also did not pressure us to buy anything, which we've experienced at other Indian clothing stores. The pricing for a lehenga set that includes top, skirt, and scarf is probably in the ~$150+ range, as you would be mixing and matching. I think in retrospect, after shopping at other stores, although mixing and matching can be nice, I personally preferred already matched sets since they seem more cohesive. We were also looking for kurtas and sherwanis. The staff kind of just showed us where they were located in the store. I remembered seeing prices approximately $300-$500 range for sherwanis. The nice part was that they gave us a sense for sizing, so that was helpful. It seems they have a lot of other outfits, jewelry, shoes, celebration items that we didn't look too much into. After shopping at a few other stores, I am actually not sure if they offer tailoring here, since they tended to pick out lehenga tops for my specific size, and not necessarily other sizes with styles. Might be worth asking if they do have tailoring. I am also not sure if a factor is that it would narrow the styles I would try on. I can imagine that it would be labor intensive and time consuming to take out a bunch of different sizes and styles, and then having to put them back. I didn't realize how intensive the process of buying/selling lehengas was before shopping here! The store is somewhat organized and it does have two fitting rooms for you to use. I can see how it can be hard to try things on if the store gets busier. The downside of trying things on here is that lighting isn't the best. Overall, I think this was a nice store to shop for Indian clothing! read more

This was my first time shopping for an Indian wedding. My online orders unfortunately did not fit well so I came to Varsha Patel after two friends recommended the store to me. Varsha Patel had a large colorful selection of clothes, shoes, and jewelry. I shopped from Varsha Patel two times, both times I had a pleasant experience. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by the staff and someone was dedicated to assist with my shopping. The young lady who helped me was polite, super friendly, resourceful and patient. She was with me the entire time and showed me collections focused on my budget and interest, giving me many options to choose from. In my past experience shopping at Indian stores the owners or staff often times assume that the consumer won't be able to afford certain items or the staff choose for the consumer rather than giving options, this was however a different experience. I felt respected, the quality of items seemed good and the prices were reasonable. They have a wide range of items priced differently from each other making it possible to visit the store many times during a year. The second time I visited Varsha Patel to buy a couple of gifts for a relative. Again I was greeted by the staff and was assisted with my shopping. The lady who helped me immediately understood what I was looking for, I think my second visit didn't take more than 10 minutes. Entering a large store like Varsha Patel can be overwhelming, thanks to the staff every time I got what I wanted and left the store happy. If you're a first time shopper for Indian clothing, I probably wouldn't recommend this place. I wanted to buy my first lehenga for a wedding I was attending, but there were surprisingly few options here despite how big the store is / seems. What surprised me the most were two things: 1. How expensive the lehengas were for the quality they were in (the one I tried on had loose threads everywhere, some undone beading, places in the blouse that bulged in weird ways, and it was $700) 2. How unhelpful the lady helping us was. If we asked a question she would answer it, but otherwise it felt like she didn't care if we walked out of the store or not. Later on another younger lady came by and she was both nice and more helpful, but the first lady was still mainly serving us and just didn't make us feel welcome. This is a big store so I think if you're looking for a very general variety among mens, womens, and kids clothes / jewelry, you *might* be able to find something here. They also seemed to have some deep discounts on some random pieces of clothing they put on a rack outside. But otherwise, if you're really trying to find something more specific, you should probably try somewhere else. read more

I went in looking for a sari fall and they handed me one (synthetic, not cotton) for $8 that looked small. I asked two different women if that was it, if that was enough for a full sari, and they both said yes. I thought maybe it looked small because it was synthetic. They also didn't give me the thread that normally comes with the fall. I paid and took it home. When I tried to put it on the sari, I discovered it was definitely very small. I measured it and found it was 1.8 m. A standard sari fall is 3 m. So in the end, I got 60% of a fall with no thread. It's also ripped on one side. So disappointed by the plummeting quality of product here. read more

A few months ago, I had the pleasure of working with Varsha Patel for my 3 day Indian wedding. Without a doubt, it was one of the best decisions ever made. When I first walked in to Saagar exclusive, I wasn't really sure what I was looking for. All I knew was that I needed a Sherwani for myself as the groom, and 8 matching groomsmen outfits. Immediately as I walked in, I was greeted by Varsha herself and she made me feel so comfortable. She is extremely knowledgeable and quite the fashionista herself.
