11/30/2024 Opposite from the many reviews, I must say that they have worked really hard on getting everything organized! It was so much better on the eyes. There were different staff than my last visit and they were so friendly and all carried a smile on their face. I'm sure there is a different management or different more pleasurable team working here as everything looked so organized and maintained. This place is always crowded but that's not a bad thing. Ppl like the deals. I spent 194 and by the time I put my basket up all of my things had begun to fall out of the bag! At the time I was thinking how am I gonna get this to my car! All of a sudden superwoman showed up and fix my every concern. Sold me an item without a price tag then are to not able to refund me the item (full size bedsheet worth 20$ like I'm going to steal 20$ worth a bedsheet and keep everything else that I bought from there.) manager "Guerita" is a horrible manager with horrible business ethics and not intelligent due to the fact that the issue proceeds to occur and not be solved. Don't buy from this Ross. You can say "but is Ross..." but if thats the case then you might as well say its humans nature. I would have to agree with many of the one to two star reviews here as this is basically like one big indoor garage sale with over priced cheap junk. There are some deals to find in the way of fragrances and other items. The only problem is that every time I have found something to purchase, I take one look at the ridiculously long line and just leave without anything. The service is on par with every other Ross that I've shopped at over the last decade. The selection is hit or miss but that's to be expected. There are good deals to be had though, right place right time comes to mind when finding them. read more

Well, I will be brutally honest. Worst Ross and Customer Service I have ever experienced. The young girl at the fitting rooms was rude, argumentative and uninterested. Barking orders at me about where To put the tag and where to put the clothes. I felt like I was a 5 yr old being scolded for not following directions. Its obvious there was no attempt to mask her lack of any enthusiasm at all. I realize it's not a glamorous job, but I expect some minimal level of pleasantness even here. The store itself was in more disarray than I'm used to seeing at Ross. Wish I could've given us a better review, but it was really horrible is it. I likely won't come back. read more

When I was growing up going to Ross for clothes was a normal thing for me. I grew up some and Ross has been one of my stores to find clothes at a decent price. Sometimes you can find name brand stuff at the fraction of the price you'd find in a department store at lets say Macy's or JC Penney. This store is no different. They have large selections of clothes to look thru and dressing rooms to try your picks on before actually purchasing. Dressing rooms are very clean and spotless. No clothes strewn in rooms anywhere. Aisles are mainly clean and clear. There were a couple tops in women's section that had go be put on hangers and back on the rack but no biggie. I went to this one since the one near my place was temporarily closed. Will definitely come here again. read more

What is it about Ross that makes normal people act insanely bad. You go into target, Walmart, or most stores and people most often look at items and if they don't want them, they put them back on the shelf. But not at this Ross. Far too many customers look at a pair of shoes, purses, or shirts... And if they don't want it... They just chunk in on the floor. It's really ridiculous. But at this Ross (and despite how horrible people can treat the store) the staff is still always friendly, helpful, and patient. They are constantly trying to put the store back together. That's why they get a great review. They deal with A LOT of inconsiderate people all day everyday... But still do their jobs with smiles and kind greetings. So here's to this Ross's staff. read more

This location is such a diamond. I would highly recommend, they have ridiculous name brands in massive quantities compared to rest of Austin and Austin Area stores including Marshall's, Home Goods, TJmaxx, and at this point, in my opinion they are rivals to even the Nordstrom Racks in this city. 5/5 recommend for secret deals. I'm obsessed and surprised at the inventory. Not usual for Austin surrounding areas or Austin to have great Brand shopping but this place is it. Inventor is mornings Tuesday and Saturday. They're open till midnight on weekends. Staff was also the best out of all other retail experiences I've encountered since being in this state. Million thumbs up to this Ross (only this location) they hit all the marks of my list and expectations. read more

This store is TRASHED. Broken merchandise- dust- hangers- so gross! Understanding there is a lack of workers but the ones they had were on their phones (FaceTiming)- one worker was putting back items and just shoving them anywhere...creating more of a problem. Got in the return line and waited and waited and waited until 8 other people in the purchase line were done. People entering the purchase line long after I was in the return line got checked out before me. Only 2 checkers working the registers and only one of them could do a cash transaction. The person sending people to the registers totally ignored the return line. Very poorly run store! read more

Stumbled across the awful reviews of this store while checking their hours for today. Majority of the negative reviews seem to be from entitled customers. Yes, the lines there are sometimes long. If you want to speed things up then take the hangers off your clothes and place your barcodes up for the cashier. Yes the shoe department isn't spotless. Instead of bashing the employees, why not consider looking at the customers that leave all their items laying around? The employees aren't rude at all. They're there to do their job. Their job doesn't include accepting disrespect from customers. You can't go around leaving your junk everywhere and then complain that no one has picked up the left behinds while simultaneously complaining there aren't enough employees up front at the registers. Just go in the store, get what you want/need, and get out without making their day harder. read more

Very horrible customer service... I got a gift for my mother. Of course I took the tag and didn't want to give her the receipt. So when she finally open her Christmas gift the blanket has been used . So my mother try return it and have the nerve to tell her no because it's been altered .. I spent $50 bucks for nothing.. if a couple of weeks ago I saw another manger approve an employees return with no tags or receipt... At least my mother had a copy of the receipt I sent as picture... from what I remember the policy as a employee you had to have receipt to return an item at a store they work at.. for all i know she theft with a return. Very very poor customer service.. District manager needs to train the managers a lot better .. understand it's after Christmas half the customer won't have their receipts. Just left Ross in Pflugerville and i can tell that its nice place. yes they have issues with their employees who act like they own it's place. It looks really ridiculous. They should change their working place and Ross better hire less nervous people. Overall place looks kinda dirty. read more

I love Ross and this is the closest location to me. However, it seems that no matter what time of day it is the lines are ridiculously long. I agree with someone else that commented if there is more than 10 people in a line they need to open every available register rather than having one person! Update: I hadn't been to Ross in a while so I didn't know about the new layout. I know you can't control of people put things back where they are supposed to be, but this store was a straight mess and organization was nonexistent. I must be honest. I love Ross, Marshall's and TJ Maxx. Something about paying $25 for a Polo instead of $75 does it for me. I shop at this Ross more than any other. Even if I don't need anything from Ross while in Pflugerville, I still go in. Why? Cause there just might be something in there I can't live without. At least that's what I tell my wife. We buy all our pots for our plants here. The beautiful picture of an old airplane that hangs above my sofa came from here. I have numerous pairs of shorts and pants from Ross. This Ross in Pflugerville is very well kept. Very clean, stuff not strewn about like the ratchet ass Ross' you'll find in Central Austin. Always somebody working the dressing rooms, things laid out in a way that makes sense and are easy to find. Only knock is I've been there several times when they could have used another cashier or two, the line being crazy long. read more

I stop in here maybe 3 times a year, and every time, I wonder WHY. Last nights quick drop in was no exception. As I walked out, knowing Id be Yelping, I had to remind myself that the weak ass Mom that was yelling at her young kids and bribing them with candy for about 45 minutes, at 8:30pm, with no jackets on in 30 degree weather had NOTHING TO DO WITH ROSS. Yet, it just added to my Ross experience. I truly DON'T ever like shopping here. I was looking for gloves and a cap for a field trip, and like the other 3 stores I went to, they were out. They rarely carry anything Id put on my body. Never have any nice shoes for a 9-9.5. I can find a shirt for my husband every once in a while for cheap, but their boys selection is TRAGIC. Always has been. Go for baby clothes, and home-wares, but that's about it for me out of Ross. Marshalls isn't a huge step up, but there is a lot more selection. read more

I would give it a 0 I had a very rude cashier today, I shop there all the time, however, this cashier was doing her the favor taking hangers off the clothes and rudely she said can you put them in the table and can you put the cart away but in a rude way. First that wasn't my cart and I was trying to help her since it was pack, she didn't bother trying to be nice didn't even give me the receipt she went on to another person. I bought one of those gallon self feed pet bowls thinking it was for water but it was actually for food and so I went to exchange it , I had the receipt and the sticker was still on the bowl and she said because I tried putting water in it I couldn't return it ? Honestly that's a bunch of B.S. it's just water like really??? this is such a bad store anyways I will definitely not be returning and next time will be going to Marshall's instead . This Ross is nice but for as big as it is there's not much of a variety to choose from at times. You always land great deals at Ross no matter what. I enjoy buying my kids shoes from here because they are a lot cheaper than what you would buy at the mall. But you never know they may have what you want here. The staff has been friendly and help you out when you need it. I just wish they would stock more at this location. read more

Was here this past weekend was never treated so poorly by "customer service". I was asked to return my own basket that I had handed to the cashier containing my items for purchase. I thought I had misheard her and ignored the statement. When I failed to reply, she looked at me and said "Where you found it. Thanks". Well, I'm sorry if I'm the rude one but I don't believe I am getting paid to do YOUR job. I assumed cashiers at Ross put their own shopping baskets back like most retail employees do. But I guess I was wrong. After she incorrectly rung up my items, she asked me to grab my own receipt from the dispenser. Which doesn't even face me. So I had to reach around the counter to obtain my own receipt. After leaving the store, I look at my receipt and she double charged me for my items! Not only was the cashier extremely rude, not to mention lazy as hell, she wasn't even competent enough to correctly scan my items. Poor service on Ross' part. Don't think I'll ever go back to that location. read more

Just coming back from ROSS Pflugerville branch and found the lady at customer return too rude to be a ROSS employee. The lady name 'Vandata' was so rude in taking our request for return that she kept pushing us from place A to place B, on confronting after 25 minutes, she responded that she only had 1 hand and now its broke and she will not help anything for 15 more minutes, nearby customers also tried to help us and explaining her but she kept on being rude. She would not listen to us, nor she would allow us to speak, after 25 minutes, we escalated to her manager but contrary to our expectation , manager did not help us either. All nearby customer were also shocked to see this happening, I hope ROSS Pfflugervile management will do something and take some feedback and investigate this incident. Above all, 'Vandata' does not deserve to be at front desk of any company, forget ROSS. read more

Went to this store on 12/26/2015 and bought 2 items, 1 garment rack (24.99) for hanging clothes and 1 faux leather dress (16.99). The garment rack was missing pieces and had no directions for set up and the dress had a broken zipper. I understand that it's Ross and it's only a few steps from a thrift store, however, even Goodwill checks for defective items before putting them on the sales floor. After evaluating, it appears the items may have been returned, and instead of Ross just taking the loss, they decide to resell the items; I assume in the hopes that it will be someone else's loss. This is untrustworthy business practice and after I make these returns, I will not be stepping foot back into this Ross store. read more

This place aggravates the heck out of me, but they have good deals. I can understand why they don't see a problem with their checkout. Note: when the line has more than 10 people on it you should probably open up another register.... And don't close a register until the line goes down. Another idea... If all the registers don't accept returns then dedicate one to just that, don't make the customer wait longer. One more thing..... You spend a lot of time storing hangers... This requires a cashier to shutdown a register at the most I opportune time for the customer. I understand it is a way to alleviate them from dealing with customers, but hey, if you quit making shopping here a nightmare then maybe the consumer will be happier. Just a thought.. read more
