Its hard to find exactly what you are looking for (the right colored blue dress for example) but if you take your time you're bound to walk out with something. And if you don't, your kids will. I love Ross and how great prices they have for a lot of things. I'm always going there to get great deals. But today the customer service was horrible. There was a lady being help by Wanda the cashier. Wanda was being so rude to the lady who was trying to pay with some 2 dollar bills she just pushed her money back saying she doesn't take them and then she was trying to pay with card and Wanda seemed annoyed. Then when I went she rushed to help me and my mother and we were buying a air mattress so my mom asks for a bag and all she said was "it's not gonna fit" and called for the next customer. As an employee, I feel for literally everyone on this Yelp forum. We have been hiring since I've started and I've personally recommended several people who are reliable and good workers and Ross has rejected. Every. Single. One. We are SEVERELY understaffed. We also don't have any cleaning supplies, so we quite literally cannot clean. During this pandemic, we have had a HUGE "masks required" sign in our window but we are told NOT to engage at all. We are literally only allowed to ask them if they have one and if they don't, oh well. We apparently cannot ask them to leave or ask them to get a mask. I want to personally apologize to anyone whose had a bad experience at Ross but Ross is literally against it's own employees and constantly screw them over and bully them. On Wednesday, I was scheduled as the only actual salesfloor employee with one cashier. We were all leaving at 10 (we close at 11) so it was only one manager and a security person (who can't leave his or her spot anyway). read more

I've never written a review but this store is so bad I felt compelled to do so. My wife and I went in to "waste time" while we waited on a movie. The place is a wreck. Stuff is literally thrown everywhere. Empty shelves piles of crap everywhere. The lady up front checking people out had to be the rudest most miserable person I've ever seen in retail. .I was in the pflugervile Ross a few days ago...and the staff was VERY unfriendly ..it was a Tuesday and if you're over 55 you get a 10 percent discount. ..the woman at the register looked so angry to begin with..she rung me up and I said ,"did you give me my discount? "...she was mad and said that I was supposed to tell her at the beginning of the transaction. ..so I said I was sorry. ...and did she have to re-ring everything? Love this Ross! They get their shipment in the mornings mon-fri and everytime I go in I can never leave without nothing! It's really like a treasure hunt & if you find something you like you just gotta get it because it won't be there tomorrow! I just want to share my horrible experience with Ross today, an extremely poor costumer service coming from A MANAGER!!! Well, i have been living in U.S.A. since 2010 and since then ROSS is my favorite place to go and also where i do my shopping therapy. I have lived in Atlanta, Massachusetts, San Antonio and i have NEVER been so disrespected by an employee like i was today. Even more, as i said previously, a manager. Her name is Wanda. This is what happened, i went to Ross today for a little bit, just to try to kill some time before heading to a meeting, as i was approaching the register, my phone started to ring and was the meeting people trying to tell me where i should meet them, so i had to take the call... But i politely, told the cashier, Mrs manager Wanda, i am sorry for answering my phone while in here i need to get this call. Why i said that? I have worked for retail before and i used to get super annoyed when people would come to my check lane talking on the phone and i know a bunch of people who hate it. I tried to be polite and respectful saying i am sorry for answering the phone, but Mrs Wanda, who right before i get to the her register, put a frown and looked pissed off at everything like a 5 years old throwing a tantrum for no reason, didnt even greet me, or said. "how are you today?" or something like that. Come on, she is a manager, she should know better. Well, Mrs. Manager answered me with a "whaaattt????", (read this in a not so kind way, more like, "what the f$@#% did you say?") i said, i am sorry for being on my phone ma'am, i just need to get the call a little quick. I was not trying to make a big deal out of it. I said i am sorry to it, as we say i am sorry when we stand in someones way. After i repeated myself, she said, I DONT CARE WHAT YOU DO, DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. Well, i said what i had to say on my phone call and then, i hung up. I went back to her, because i thought she didnt understand what i meant, and i said, "sorry ma'am, i just meant to say sorry for being on the phone while being here at the registers doing a transaction with you, i was just trying to be polite and respectful. " . Do you think i heard a "that is ok, thank you for shopping at Ross"? or "Oh, you are good ma'am, have a good day". NOPE! I heard more disrespectful crap from her and her obnoxious, rude, unpleasant, stand off-ish poor costumer service. she said," i really dont care about what you do, you do your thing and i i will do mine.". Seriously?????????? Well, i asked for the manager and she said, "i am the manager". It just blew me away in a very jaw-dropping bad way. How in a world can she be a manager, she is HORRIBLE!!!!! I dont care if she was having a bad day, put your fake manager smile and suck it up. Ross your manager disappointed me so much, i cant believe that. Don't get me wrong, Ross used to be my go. I just love other stores that are high end but any way, I occasionally have found great finds like Levi jeans and a cute name brand jacket. I'm writing a poor review because well I was really surprised how this store has no shame. It's an overdue review but still needs to be told. So last Christmas I got a Mickey mug. It had a foil like on the Mickey to have a color effect. My sister in law decided to warm some hot tea that day. She put it in the microwave. Since the cup had foil on it, the microwave electrocuted it. I pulled it out and the foil was crumpled and black. Obviously not a good look. I washed it and the very next day took it Ross told them what happened. They gave me store credit. I didn't expect that but hey store credit sure. I bought another cup just like it. Weeks later and I went in to shop with my mother. I saw the mug with the messed up foil, it was no doubt my cup I returned. As I looked at the mug the price was marked down just 25 cents. The cup was only 4.00 they couldn't afford to toss it? Buyer beware lol read more
