If you need a size they are so quick to help or suggest something different AND if they dont have it they will order it for you, shipping is so fast in my experience I have received my order as soon as the next day. I'm not a big mall shopper - but I have to say I like Zumiez - they are definitely one of the cooler places on the mall. They have great snowboarding clothes and gear and the staff are laid back and friendly - I have never felt pushed by them and have gotten some good help. The prices aren't as low as you might be able to find elsewhere - but when I want something nice for winter sports this is where I head first - for me or my kids. When I want a good deal I go to Big 5. Zumiez has a small collection of boards, shoes, goggles and stuff like that, and also a good set of skateboards, trucks and wheels if that's your thing. We came here to dress one of the models we were preparing for a project. He had to find a "high tech" outfit to be a part of a theme. We found a nice top and shorts that had clean lines and the modern look that we were looking for. I have to say that the moment we walked into the store, someone right away waved at another sales rep to make sure they knew we needed help So as we got deeper into the store, someone already was there to assist us. I was amazed how helpful they were. When we found the outfit we wanted to get, they automatically made a dressing room ready. At the end we ended up buying the outfit. So I'm not a Zumiez shopper for myself since it's not much of my style, but i always go in and get my boyfriend stuff from here for his birthday/holidays etc. To be honest i think this store has the greatest employees in the entire Arden mall. Every time i go in to get something all of them are so friendly and helpful. Everyone at this store is a genuine person and it shows. With COVID going on i went to pick up a few shoes i ordered and they were fast grabbing it at the store for me. They even wrote a dope "Thank You" in graffiti artwork on my printed receipt which really made me dawn on the experiences i always have at Zumiez. One star for the second visit. 2 stars for the third visit. I've been here 3 times to purchase TOMS and to get rid of my $20 gift card that I've been babysitting for about 4 years. The first time they were closing, so that was my bad. The second time I went to purchase the shoes but they had nothing good in stock! The only two colors they had in my size were black and olive green. The young dude that helped me wasn't very professional nor helpful. Granted I was being indecisive over two colors but he stayed on the top of the ladder (where the shoes were on top of the shelf) and stared me down trying to rush my decision so he could get back to lounging around. Ew. I felt forced to decide so I chose the black Toms. I even looked at some Obey clothing that I've been wanting to purchase but nothing in my size (small). The girl at checkout was nicer but I already had a bad taste in my mouth. She kept saying my gift card wouldn't run and tried to give it back to me. Finally she manually punched in the numbers after a few tries with her scanner. I know your computer is the age of a dinosaur but wouldn't you try to punch in my card numbers before you try giving me back my card? Third visit. I live in San Francisco but originally from Sacramento so I visit my family every so often. About three weeks had passed and I still hadn't touched my Toms. I wasn't happy with my forced purchase. I was already heading home for a day, so I called ahead to see if they had other colors which they only said black and olive green (once again). My sister suggested I try out the olive one. I figured if I didn't like it then I'll let my sister pick out TOMS for herself. I didn't like it. She couldn't even get a black in her size. Apparently, they were out of all the blacks. How inconvenient. I ended up switching out my shoes for an LRG v-neck. This time, customer service was 100x better. But that still didn't make up for the lack of stock. TEN STARS! I had the best time shopping here. Because of the amazing people who work there, well, specifically Luka and Sarah. These two made my shopping experience one that I will never forget. They were both so friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and even humorous. It was so refreshing. I had a pretty long day, and was super tired and kind of grouchy and it was getting late. I had a sweatshirt I bought online that I needed to exchange. Anyhow, when I explained to Luka, he was like, "no problem, well take care of that right away", but for some reason I couldn't locate the confirmation email. Luka tried to find it too, but we didn't have any luck. I could almost guarantee you, that had I been anywhere else, the salesperson would have given up by then. Seriously! They probably would've given some lame excuse, but not Luka. He was so patient and just kept reminding me that it would be okay, and that we'd figure it out. While I was looking for the email, I had asked Sarah a few questions about a pair of Vans, she immediately went and got them so I could check 'em out, the whole time creating small talk and being so super friendly and so sweet. Between her and Luka they made my trip to the mall bearable, and so much fun. I recently had to go back to Zumiez and Sarah told me it was her last day because she is moving to a different store. I didn't ask, but I really hope she got an amazing promotion. Like store manager or something. And I don't know if Luka is the manager of the Arden store, but I hope so. He definitely should be. Both of them deserve to be recognized for their awesome customer services. I really hope the people higher up the chain read these reviews because it's important to know when someone is really good at their job. These two are really good at their job! I rarely purchase items from this location, can this review is based off of the service I receive when I buy an item online and have it shipped to this location (site-to-store is free). And the service is... A-OK. The morning the item arrives, I receive a professional phone call from the store itself that lets me know it's time to come and pick up my order. When I arrive, they take a moment to open the packaging, check that the item is not damaged, provide me with new packaging, and send me on my way. No up-sale B.S., nothing like that. Went in today because they carry a large supply of sketchy tank and Brixton clothing after walking around for a few minutes I finally stumbled across the items I was looking for but had to dig around and look for my size, after making several attempts to look for certain shirts for about 10 minutes I gave up because I could not find the size (not because they didnt have it but because the shirt I was looking for were scattered all around ), i did find a shirt i was wanting to try on and after making eye contact with one of the associates they looked away, there were two store associates near me never asked if I needed help but that's understandable because they were to busy messing with a skateboard and looking at their cell phones. I came to this Zumiez hoping to find a good deal on a snowboard package so that I could go on a trip with my buddies the upcoming weekend. Unfortunately, the location did not have any boards to my liking, but the asian girl that works there was very helpful. She pulled out a catalog and showed my a bunch of snowboards for my height and weight and then called several other Zumies in the area to see if they had them in stock because I couldn't wait for them to be shipped to the store. Long story short, I ended up going to the Zumies in Citrus Heights and Folsom to get the board along with its package deal bindings and boots. At $300 for quality gear though I wasn't complaining. I was thankful that the staff here was friendly, patient and went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to get my gear in time for my trip. read more
