Management put a fake out of service sign on restroom so clients can't use it. An Indian ethnicity employee, with pink hair ends, told my husband the restroom was out of service. And an Indian ethnicity client came out of it! Employee told my husband that she would kick him out for using the restroom. My husband is mexican and it's really sad to see racism at stores that are very diverse. The Indian man let my husband into restroom. The toilet and everything worked perfectly fine. The sign was clearly a lie and they pick and choose who to let use the restroom. I only use Yelp to give positive feedback , but unfortunately this is my first bad review. read more

Time for a quick COVID update! L O C A T I O N Ross is located in a plaza on Brokaw. It's in the same plaza as Sprouts, Ulta, and HomeGoods. There's a large shared parking lot. Parking has been fairly easy just because no one's really out and about. C O V I D P R O T O C O L They have someone at the front making sure only the right number of people are in the store. There aren't many folks at the check out stand, generally 1-2 people so lines can get a little long. Everyone seems to be standing 6 ft apart when waiting. I T E M S Again, hit or miss as many Ross locations are. We found a nice rubber bottom bath rug for our place. Again, it's not a spot to get specific items. It's a gamble to try to find something and hope it's good enough quality at a pretty good price. O V E R A L L I love me a Ross. They're good to find some home items at a fairly reasonable price. But again, it's hit or miss when you go so you gotta just take a chance or just expect you may end up leaving without something you want or perhaps something you may not! Ha! Yesterday I went with my mom later in the evening to the Brokaw road Ross store where I had saw some things I really wanted that I had never seen at any of the other stores. The purpose of us going was so that I could figure out which item I really wanted to buy out of the few I saw and really liked and after a couple of days of trying to decide prior, I finally had the money to buy what I wanted but needed my mom to help to get a senior discount. This lady with a short bob hair cut at the cash register gave my mom a hard time when she was trying to return something and then purchase something else separately after so she could have two separate receipts. My mom just continued to be nice and smiled, she took that lady's attitude but I was not having it. I was giving my mom her space because she was already in a mood too and I had a cart with something inside that I was going to give back to the lady but my mom said just leave it anywhere, but I didn't want to make the store employees to work harder. Towards the end of my mom's purchase I came to stand next to my mom and the lady at the register said rudely I had to get back in line and wait. I tried to explain that that was my mom but she kept talking until she finally asked are you two together? Me and my mom said yeah we are. So my mom finished up and stepped to the side or she turns away to review her receipt or something and now I'm facing the lady and you could sense there was some hostility there, still, and I gave her back the item I wanted to buy but was holding off for a couple days already. I needed to give it to her because I still was not ready to buy but she kept thinking I was saying I wanted to put it on hold. I wasn't saying that and I already know Ross doesn't hold things for people because they're not that nice. When she finally let me get a word in I told her I wasn't saying to put it on hold and to just take the item, she finally took the item and tossed it in the basket behind her. She thought that was it and was clearly very impatient and angry but I had to stop her and say no, there was one more thing. In the counter behind and to the side, one of the managers hung my item on the rack and had it put aside until I was ready to make the purchase. I held out my palm to show I was waiting on that item. When they brought it over the lady at the register kept arguing and saying we can't get our discount plus the extra discount for seniors even though my mom is over 55 years old and that we had to pick one or the other. Me and my mom told the lady we were given permission to get a discount since the item was slightly damaged already (but it is actually even worse if you lift the little piece up and see the material on the strap got peeled off and was practically coming off). The lady didn't believe us that we were offered the discount and since my mom is indeed a senior being over 55, that she would get the additional senior discount. So this lady called over the manager who helped us initially with the item, when he came she still tried to keep telling us no. But the manager came over and said he'll take care of it. I really liked the item I wanted to buy so badly and was and still am grateful the manager allowed it this one time. I gave my mom a cash payment of 50% for the cost of the item previously but at the register after the discounts were applied it only costs $11 more that my mom had to pay on my behalf and I was happy to pay her back that extra $11. Me and my mom were so happy with the purchase in the end and felt it was definitely worth it when we had help from one of the managers. On the way home my mom said consider it a gift since she saw how much I wanted this item and gave me back my cash. Thanks to the excellent customer service from the manager who helped with the item at this Brokaw Road store, it made our poor experience with that lady so trivial and unimportant but I got a really amazing high quality item. The item I asked the lady to take back, I don't think I am going to buy it anymore since a really tall older security officer who was leaning on the counter and watched the interaction between that lady and me and my mom rudely responded to my statement that I was going to come back tomorrow with more money and buy that other item. He said: "yeah you can come back and buy the whole store." Anyways the manager who helped with getting the item I wanted to get was the only nice person to me and my mom. He never once yelled or got impatient with us like that lady at the register who was acting all snappy. She said she couldn't do the discounts because she's not a manager. Clean store in a nice clean plaza but that one person that does not exemplify the best qualities of Ross nor the side officer has killed my desire to come back in the future. I know the security officer won't because that's not something he can do and it sucks but that lady will figure it out. read more

Quiet and not busy on a Friday. They had all that wanted. Shoes, socks, slides and shirts!! Wait was slow. It's usually hard to find stuff in my size but I found it all here no problem what so ever. I've never been so poorly treated by an establishment. I came in to return a defective item and was immediately accused of damaging it myself by one of the clerks. She made a huge scene and called her manager. By the time the manager came out, the tag had gone missing, so he immediately accused me of stealing the item and made another big scene. The defective item was less than $15. My family had found about $200 worth of clothes to buy while I was on trial with the staff. We left everything and didn't buy anything. They really need to work on customer service!! read more

Just left the store due to terrible customer service. We were at the jewelry section and pressed on the assistance button. The staff at the jewelry counter was almost done ringing up a customer (customer not for jewelry) and asked us to wait so we waited patiently for a long while and literally watched him ring another 2 customers (also not for jewelry) when there were other cashiers available and not many customers waiting in line for check out. in general I pretty much love going to Ross because of all the amazing deals that they have but I can't say that the service is always top-notch the store is kind of dirty and they don't always have what I'm looking for so it's really a hidden mess this particular location has good parking because of the giant lot but the service really needs to keep up there's no reason why you should be constantly doing purchases and having one person in the return line not being attended to. read more

I actually found some Van Heusen polo shirts for under $15 and in various colors so I bought them all. It was nice that they had a good variety of shirts. I like a good deal...and Ross usually is a place where I can self-bargain on items if it is worth the purchase. However, I did have high expectations when I came in here one time. I thought it was much larger than the one I frequently go to near my home. This place however doesn't have much items that appealed to me and they seem to have limited stocks in their shelf. I had so high expectations of this brand new Ross that took months to open. I got deceived to see the bad selection in all departments, as a fellow yelper pointed out. Believe me, I am one of those that finds gold every time that i visit a Ross store. In here, most things I found like 'used', like not well ironed. And, sadly, plain ugly. In the whole store I only found 2 Calvin Klein dresses worth the price, still didn't look brand new to me. Also, normally the sports clothes at Ross has great deals, with brands like Nike, Reebok and others...here you go the usual yoga plants in black, booooring. Haven't you heard this year is 'go bold or go home?'. The buyer at this Ross is not getting us pretty, sexy cool stuff. Of course I will give them another chance. The only word I can think of to describe my experience at Ross today is RIDICULOUS! I go during my lunch just to buy a phone charger and I have to wait in a non moving line for about 20 minutes while the cashier goes and checks on a price for another costumer! Worst Ross I've ever shopped at. Corporate will be hearing from me. Went shopping with my sister and once we were about to pay (same cart, two different transactions) the cashier was super RACIST (named Manolito or something similar) made it seem like I was only purchasing my products and was about to steal my sisters. Having my sister a few feet away looking at some of the returned merchandise as I was paying. She told me I couldn't take my items until my sister paid for hers. Which obviously she was about to do right after I was done purchasing my items.. I understand they probably get a lot of theft done at this location but not every MEXICAN that walks in is going to steal. I am so upset and have never been treated this way. read more

I have to agree with the other reviews about the ridiculous lines at this store. The store however is very clean, big and organized. Yet, i'm not sure if it's worth the wait. The manager or higher up worker compared to the ONLY cashier (late 30's filipino women) working was just walking around not doing anything. The poor cashier had to work the long line by herself and the manager made her assist with the jewelry while the manager just stood around. I can't blame the cashier because she was obviously just doing what she was told and was going through the customers as fast as she can while being apologetic about the lines. She rectified the situation, but her manager or the person higher up than her needs to be replaced ASAP. Standing around doing nothing making a poor worker do all the work when she is more than capable to open another cash register is RIDICULOUS. You have a security guard working the front so its unnecessary for you to be walking around barking orders at a cashier who is trying her best. If i could do so, I would give 5 stars for the filipino cashier who was trying her best, but the review is mostly for the management. Do better. read more

From the outside, you expect a lot from this Ross. It's huge inside but it either feels empty or ransacked with destroyed merchandise (ex: products tampered with, broken/missing seals, ripped clothing, clothing with makeup on it). It lacks customer service and employees on the front end in general. The wait time is always long at the front registers and the front end supervisor has a nasty attitude. :/ Not returning since there are better locations in the area. read more

I haven't shopped at ross more than a decade. I had to came in for a Christmas gift return. The Clark kim was ok how ever they can't find out the price of the item. I had gift recipes with partial tag(without the price). The item is new and never used it. After multiple scanning with different scanners,Roxanne was called to help. She went a different register and chitchat with another employee who seem leaving work. She returned, no expression in her face and told me the item is $1.99 because it is new store and her machine can't find the price. So she just came up $1.99 as clearance in her head. No apologies of her machine wouldn't scan the tag and recipe. What is hack? This is terrible service, no employee at that store was smile, greeting to customers. This store is big and nice. But I will never come here. This Ross reminds me that stuff is cheap here but don't except service. read more
