Love the store it's self the brand however this store is ran so terribly- opens at 10 but waking the mall around 11 and still not open... really sucks I love going to these store and the brands the hold and stuff went to the mall just to go there walked around the mall just to give it time to open still wasn't- maybe hire people who are actually capable for arriving on time or at the very least update you times to reflect when it will actually be open. read more

They actually sell shoes that they do not let you try on or return. Clearly it's a scam to trick you into purchasing a shoe, spending over $150, and not being able to get rid of it. The salesperson had a couple of ridiculous excuses for why, but my recommendation is just avoid this place like the plague. read more

I was already in love with this location but today took the cake for me. We came in over the weekend and snagged some shirts off their buy one get one free rack. One if them was this really cool Akomplice tee but it wrinkled oddly at the neck and took away from the overall design (a really dope chick smoking). It was our bad fortune to lose the darn receipt. Seriously!? We went on Saturday and its only Monday. Fortunately, Ray remembered us and was graciously awesome enough to pull up our receipt for us! Thank goodness! But, wait! There's more! He even offered to fax it over to Valley Fair for us so we didn't have to drive all the way to east side from the west side. Big ups to Ray for handling this like a breeze. I'll be honest, this store really isn't my style nor does it fit into my social culture at all, so I never truly feel comfortable coming in. However, they do carry my favorite causal slip on shoes and I'll go in and suck it up, LOL! Came in and Serena helped me, she was patient and attentive and even recommended other brands that would fit me and my look. Serena definitely represents the brand well and brings in diversity along with a different kind of spunk than the rest of her co-workers. Phone service isn't very helpful though, next time put Serena on the line! read more

I came here looking for a skateboard for my son. I had no experience or knowledge about skateboards. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by a young lady who was very patient with us and informed us about the Penny boards. I don't know why they don't have the location for Oakridge mall on Yelp so I'm just going to do the review here. Their customer service is off the charts. No I did not go in to simply buy clothing, backpacks, skate gear or shoes (even though they're all extremely cool). Get this, I bought myself one of the Coca Cola bottles from Target and I held onto it for the past hour or so. At that point I was pretty impatient to find myself a bottle opener since my drink had started to go warm, and so I asked an employee there to see if he had a bottle opener. He casually replied, "I do not, but I do have my belt buckle". And like the legend he was, he took my bottle and using all of that customer service knowledge, he opens the bottle for me and I finally drank my Coca Cola right then and there. Other than that, Mainland is pretty cool. 10/10 would go again. read more

It's good to finally see Eastridge with a store carrying some quality urban streetwear. Store is clean and neat, the only downside is, the shoe selection is meh. The shoe selection at the Mainland in Oakridge is definitely better and bigger than this one, but it isn't too bad. So if you're looking for a particular pair of Nike SBs or some Vans, call ahead. The employees seem to be friendly and helpful, and they don't be on your ass when you're just browsing, so that's always cool with me. This store would probably be my go to store if i still live in San Jose or if i'm too lazy to drive to SF because they carry most of the brands i like. read more

I bought my daughter two pairs of toms last month and when she used one of the pairs, they caused blisters. I wanted to return/exchange the other pair for a bigger size but I couldn't find the receipt... well after much looking I finally found it! But its been past the 30 day period (3 days to be exact). I called Mainland and i explained the situation... all i wanted was to exchange them at this point and the youn man who answered the phone said, "I'm sorry a blister is not a good enough reason to break our 30-day return policy." Talk about customer service!!!! Anywho im definitely not going back for either myself or my daughters shoes. read more

Looks like my review was never posted, or maybe it was taken down. I posted a few weeks back that I bought a watch from this place, decided to return it the next day and they refused to take it back. The reason? There were marks on the watch that I had not seen until they pointed them out to me. I explained that I hadn't even turned the watch on yet, I never wore it. Turns out the paper i signed stated the watch was in perfect condition which i did not realize that was what I was signing. My advice to any consumers would be to buy watches online because they have a better return policy. I spoke with three managers, all of them said they same nonsense.
