He pointed out issues the original restoration company had missed, which gave us a lot more confidence in his expertise. We were actually out of town for most of the project, and Felipe kept us constantly updated. He was thoughtful, detail-oriented, and proactive--fixing things we didn't even know needed attention. Ross' team handled floor removal, subfloor leveling, and installation, along with removing and reinstalling baseboards and door casings. At the same time, we had other vendors working in parallel--a tile contractor, painters, and a plumber installing new vanities. Everyone coordinated smoothly, and Ross' team worked collaboratively to ensure everything aligned and transitions looked clean and cohesive. True to his word, Ross came by right after his trip for a final walkthrough and quickly addressed any small touch-ups. He also helped work with our insurance, which made a big difference. Ross and his team helped us with our floors as part of our home remodel a few years ago. Our house had existing hardwood except for one area, where Ross was able to match and lace in with the old floor to make it look like it's always been this way. Everything was sanded and stained to perfection and we've been very happy with it. Since then, we have had some minor repairs that Ross has come out and helped us with at no charge. I had my floors done by this company and they did a decent job, but then I had them do my stairs and it was a complete disaster. They used the wrong glue and when we came down the stairs they completely fell apart and broke. The flooring pattern didn't match but I didn't even say anything about it. The owner came to repair, but the job just didn't look right. We double checked to make sure the stairs were secure, and one was not. We called to let him know and he accused us of pulling it off. Why would we do that? He was always too busy to comeback and fix it or I had to go to work when he could come. It really ruined my life for a while. It's still not fixed. It's been more than six months. I would not recommend. read more

Our kitchen vinyl floor was separating. It was only installed about a year ago after remodeled our house. I was looking for a floor repair contractor and I found Ross Sealy. He responded to my floor repair request very quickly. We talked over the phone and his schedule allowed him to come over that same day. I contacted Ross of Ross Wood Flooring for a quote on my condo which needed laminate flooring. We spoke on the phone for some time and he provided me with some options and a basic quote based on my estimated square footage. He was very knowledgeable and geared me away from certain laminates which he noted would not stand up to the test of time. When we met at the condo, he showed up on time and was very professional throughout the process. I was provided with an assortment of samples but ultimately went with his suggestion for durability, color, and affordability. He called back a few days later to finalize the pricing, material, and a start date. On the day of the demolition, he and his workers arrived promptly and worked efficiently. They took the time to keep everything as clean as possible. Since it was laminate, installation went quickly once demolition was completed. The final product is wonderful. You can see the finished product for yourself. Aside from being a beautiful silvery light brown finish, it has worn well despite the abuse a living room takes. I have recommended Ross to friends who are also happy with their results. I plan on using Ross Wood Flooring again myself for future projects. read more

Satisfied with the job. Would not say they went above and beyond. They had to remove our baseboards to install the floors. When reinstalling the base boards, they were very messy. Baseboards not alligned. Caulk job was done rushed. I'll need to re-caulk before re-painting them. They did the job but I likely would go with someone else if I could do it over. read more

But after dealing with tons of talkers and shady "contractors" I met Ross and felt like i was talking to a friend rather than a salesman. He answered all my dumb questions and walked me through the entire process, gave me his cell phone and let me text him even dumber questions when I started googling and looking at floors. I ended up going with Gray (shocker) Engineered Bamboo that I finally decided on after flip flopping 34978 times. Once the annoying part was done (me), he told me 5 days and deleivered, the floors looked beautiful with 0 gaps and 0 inperfections and brand new base boards. We have very soft cherry floors and had initially called Ross to refinish them. Even though he could have earned a lot more money in doing so, he told us the floor's wear layer was too thin and refinishing was not the right option. Instead, Ross and his team added a protective seal to our floors. There were some issues with a film from use of particular cleaners (not their fault-- ours) but they still came back and redid the job, free of charge to us, and wouldn't quit until our floors looked perfect. They are beautiful now! Ross is a great guy, and so easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable and honest, and wants to make sure each customer is completely satisfied.
