Not what you'd expect from a restaurant in a strip mall, that's for sure. The space is beautiful with a vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, and a large modern Italian bar. And, most importantly, the food backs it up. The bone in pork w/ vinegar peppers was a fantastic upscale take on a classic; there was great zing from the acid, as they thankfully weren't shy with it. This place is just barely OK, the food is average, regular Italian-American fare along with several dishes with prices well into the $40 - $60 range?!! WTF??!! The owner must think that by having prices that sky high that it is somehow better than it actually is? Sorry, it's not! What it is is an overly loud strip mall room with no ambience whatsoever and mediocre overpriced food. For example- shrimp scampi appetizer, $25! That's $6/shrimp?! Want to have that on pasta instead of toast?, they charge $38. $15 For a couple ounces of spaghetti?! Kids want pasta and meatballs- that'll run you $28 - for pasta, bland, acidic sauce and grocery store meatballs. We did have one nice dish - the gnocchi appetizer had a nice sauce, but again - this small plate was priced like a main dish at peer restaurants. Ugh. Not coming back!! read more

Went for dinner on Thursday evening with my girlfriends. Dinner was amazing. The gnocchi appetizer was so good that we ordered another. Our waitress Toni rocked. Best fare and ambiance in Beverly! Hey Beverly we have a wonderful new restaurant - in the same shopping complex as Whole Foods. They are doing a great job managing Covid. Italian American- four of us had chicken parm, lemon chicken, gnocchi and cod on a bed of lobster... all was fantastic/delicious. Service is excellent. The bar produces a really great range of cocktails And wine. Good selection of craft beers. Dessert was very good sorbets and cannolis. I highly recommend Rossetti's. Tried this place on a Sunday night for my birthday dinner and we are so happy we did! Everything was absolutely delicious. From the fresh warm ciabatta rolls to our meals everything was amazing. My dad had the linguini with the king crab and he said it was the best meal he's had in awhile. My mom and I both got chicken parm and the chicken was thing and crispy and delicious. The sauce had a great flavor and the penne on the side was great too. We also got a bottle of wine. Definitely try this new location out! I will start my review by saying that it is super important right now to give credit where credit is due. Restaurants are still recovering from multiple month shutdowns and historic staffing shortages, with negligible economic assistance from either the state or federal level. So when you enjoy an experience, tell someone! Whether by review or in person, it could make someone's week. Now, for Rossetti: Wow! The food was unbelievable. The gnocchi appetizer was simply perfect. Gnocchi is my favorite and I've never had better. Something about it tasted so fresh and light, despite being a generally rich pasta dish. My husband and I cleaned the plate (a theme last night) and still had room for the rest of our meal. I had the scallops entree and was completely in love. We shared the cannoli dessert and were thoroughly impressed, especially with the pistachio cannoli. It was our first time at Rossetti and the atmosphere was beautiful. I can imagine going to a show at the NSMT after dinner here would be a perfect date. However, the service was the most impressive. Scott had at least 6 tables, several of which were larger groups, but we felt like the we had his undivided attention. He was very personable and professional, delivered our food and drinks promptly and tidied our table between courses. We will be back and will definitely remember to ask for him! Strange experience tonight. We were seated in time for our reservation in the outdoor area. Our server greeted us but didn't introduce himself and didn't mention any specials. We asked about the beer on tap and he highlighted two and then referred us to the QR code for more options. After our drinks arrived our server came back a few times see if we wanted to put in an app or entrees but offered no suggestions. A second member of the wait staff brought us rolls and then a few minutes later stopped by by the table to ask if we were "done with our rolls" as we were in the midst of eating them. Really strange. Our shrimp scampi app was delicious, so garlicky and juicy. We appreciated that the order was divided on two plates. Our server came to refresh our drinks before the meal, although again it felt like he had somewhere else to be and would have preferred not be covering our table. We both ordered the salmon with white beans which was outstanding. We each asked for slightly different levels of "doneness" and the preparation was just right. As we finished up and boxed up our leftovers we asked about dessert. We ordered non cannolli for dessert and they were delicate with sweet, creamy filling. It took a few minutes to get forks however because the server had already gone to run our check and was busy with that...again feeling a little rushed. This is my third experience at Rosetti's . Our first dinner here was outstanding in terms of food quality and service, the waiter was warm and clearly loved taking about the menu. My brunch experience totally unremarkable and I found the menu over priced. This time the food was great but the servers were not friendly and had zero to say about the menu. It's a "serious restaurant " which means it appears to be professionally managed. - We were greeted and seated properly - The server was professional and got to our table quickly - Our drink order was taken and the drinks were delivered quickly - Our food order was taken and the food delivered on time - The food was excellent; I had veal Marsala, Peter and Mollie had Bolognese, Valerie, chicken. All good. - Salads were great; Caesar and Mini-Cale. - The server checked our satisfaction after each course - Deserts we're good - We never felt rushed. They were amply staffed. The restaurant manager checked us on the way out. That's good quality control. Today; it's a surprise when a restaurant does it right. Honestly..after a couple drinks this food sounds amazing and is quality Italian but when I say you could order the same amount of fucking pristine Italian food from the NORTH FUCKING END for half of the god damn price. I walked in and saw that my 3 entrees and two side orders were $121..I was livid because to me that is ridiculous!!!! I got asparagus for $13 and got 5 pieces of asparagus. I could go to stop and shop and get 12 pieces of asparagus for that are just as good for 7 dollars IF THAT. It just makes me so upset to be spending money for subpar food and when I could be going to Boston for the realistic Italian experience for not even that much at all. The food (four entrees and some appetizers) was very good, though quite pricey. And salty. When I arrived home, I had to check my bank balance, and drink two full glasses of water before bed before I felt comfortable. But this review isn't about the food, but rather, Covid-19 precautions. Everyone is desperate to put the coronavirus pandemic behind them, especially retail and restaurants, but wishing doesn't make it so. We made evening reservations for the "outside" seating area not for the view, but specifically to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission. The quote marks are because this was not outdoor seating. It was indoor seating, with some slightly-open windows. Two sides of the room had windows that spanned most of the wall, and on the night we were there, the windows were mostly closed -- I'd guess that the top of these windows were open 10" or less. I would not hazard a guess as to how much these modest openings helped with airflow. But since they were at the very top of the walls (far above us), and not even oriented for cross-ventilation, I'm skeptical. The tables didn't appear to be spaced very far apart for social distancing. But since this was our first time, I don't know what the normal layout might be. Prior to making a reservation, I'd called the restaurant to ask about the windows. The woman I spoke with said that "they are always open." That may be the technical truth, but I felt deceived. Perhaps they open the windows much wider when it's warmer out. Beyond that disappointment, none of the staff wore masks. And apart from the missing "open air" aspect, the room is all hard surfaces, making conversation challenging due to the noise level. They had numerous heat lamps, and the temperature was comfortable. Though I'd have gladly traded lower temperature for higher safety. The outdoor temperature was in the high 50s during our meal, so not exactly frigid conditions. The service was fine, the food was good though a bit overpriced and over-salted. But we will not be returning. If you are concerned about Covid-19, don't be fooled into thinking that eating "outside" at Rossetti's is remotely the same as alfresco dining. read more

Have been anticipating coming to Rosssetti's in Beverly since before they were open, it's been a long wait We have been to the one in Lynn which was superb. Living in Salisbury it's a bit of a drive and it took a while to get a desired reservation at th e bar, times being what they are and this place being in such high demand. The moment we walked in the service was welcoming and decor is lovely. Lemon Drop Martini was exquisite and DH had espresso martini and wanted to lick the glass, we had the meatball appetizer and it was like Nonni was in the kitchen cooking! You could taste the garlic basil and Spice! The Caesar salad was fresh crisp and delicious we split one which was plenty for two, the eggplant Parmesan was memorable and the chicken Margherita, nice and tangy with the lemon and capers, pasta cooked perfectly, al dente, no room for dessert can't wait to return. read more

My husband & I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this evening at Rossetti's in Beverly! The hostesses, waiter, food runner, and busboy were friendly & efficient and to add to the classy ambiance (Manhatten vibe by the way but needs more artwork. One phenomenal oil on canvas hung by the bar-needs 5 more of these because their walls are enormous and bare-I suggested they commission local artwork from students at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly!) was the manager/owner made his rounds to ask every patron how their meal & service has been and that right there folks is top-notch! Mr. Rossetti junior was polite and charismatic and overall genuine and every restaurant needs to follow his lead. We need this now more than ever before folks. Difficult times we're facing so kudos to Rossetti restaurant for their grand opening in Beverly, Massachusetts! Quoting from The Terminator . . . I Will Be Back!
