We catered our office luncheon here recently, and everyone enjoyed. It was a nice alternative to the usual places we order from. (You know, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc.) Catering offered lunch boxes and platters, but we chose the "Any Way You Want It option." We chose two entrees; the chicken kabobs and the salmon, two sides; the cous-cous and their delicious hummus and pita chips, the Mediterranean chopped salad (also very good!), and we got their pita bread on the side and two sauces; their roasted red pepper sauce (mild) and their dill, yogurt & cucumber (mild). They also have a spicy sauce which I love, but most of my co-workers wouldn't touch it! There are also good options if you're dining in or carrying out from the restaurant itself. This is honestly such a great place to grab a quick meal at good value. The way it's set up is like an assembly line. You choose your meat base and type of dish (wrap, rice plate, salad) and then you get unlimited toppings (like hummus, cous cous, etc.). We got the chicken rice plate with all the toppings and by the end, my plate was overflowing! I've never been to a place that gives so much food, especially food that usually costs extra (like hummus), on top for free! My favorite side was definitely the cous cous - it's so good! You can also get a side of falafel (3 pieces) for $2.25. They were delicious - and I don't even usually like falafel! Everything (including the falafel) was $12 - which was honestly a steal! This was my first and last time here. My friend and I decided to try this place based on high ratings, however we were very disappointed. Apart from sloppy looking plate and burned chicken roti, the worst part was the service. The guy Brandon who was preparing our food looked like he was upset that we even showed up there. I really enjoyed getting take-out from Roti. The Yelp/Grubhub ordering made it a snap to order our food and the restaurant had it waiting on a shelf as soon as we walked in. Everything was in the bag and it was super easy. The food was all amazing. I had a steak wrap, which tasted amazing with all of the complex Mediterranean flavors meshing perfectly together. The steak was so unbelievably tender that you would think that it was just cut from a dry aged prime rib roast. The sauces all complimented the filling perfectly. My only complaint is that the serving side was a little small for the price, I expected a little bit more food. For that reason, get a rice plate if you're a little hungrier, as they have a lot more rice and sides. Overall, I'm very happy with my Roti experience and I look forward to going again soon. read more

They also offer chicken Roti, chicken kabob, steak Roti and salmon. You can get all of the fillings on a pita, wrap or just on a plate. Service: 2/5 stars I've been here many times, and I always say I want a "Falafal Pita" so they know I want both Falafal and a pita. On more than one occasion, they've thrown the pita on the warmer (takes about 2 minutes) and THEN when the pita is out, start frying the Falafal (which takes another 5-8 minutes). I've also had them serve the people behind me with the Falafal they were originally making for me. They rationalized their decision by saying my pita was cold and they needed to restart it. They lack time management skills and aren't always the most accommodating. If you plan on coming to this Roti, and you expect warm food and quick service, your best bet is lunch on a weekday when it's naturally crowded and they are producing a lot of food. read more

Great food; ordered a Lamb Bowl and a Lamb Pita. Both were delicious despite not receiving the extra pita we ordered with the bowl. Dill yogurt and garlic sauces were fantastic and portion sizes were perfect. Only complaint is that we ordered delivery thru Yelp! Grubhub and it never gave proper updates- kept telling us it was delayed. We called support who told us they could see it was delivered. Sure enough, it was in the lobby but the Yelp! tracking never updated. I just had my first taste of Roti, and I can already tell this is going to be a dangerous addiction... I love that they have fresh, delicious, Meditteranean ingredients - you get to pick your meat, your bread/salad/plate, and then pile on as many delicious toppings as you want. It's ostensibly "healthy", except that you end up with an enormous burrito of food, which can't really be all that healthy. Oh well! Should I have some sort of Roti Platinum Card? EYE happen to think so. Well, it all started when I caught an early a.m. ABC 7 News report that quickly mentioned that Roti's first location near the Sears.. uh Willis Tower was open. It was September 2009, a gorgeous fall feeling and I'd taken the day off... donning my favorite tie-dyed shirt and was up for something healthy, tasty, spicy and quick. Think of Roti as sort of a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, and done very well. Chicken roti chunks are spiced well, smokey, tender and are a mouthgasm... especially when you ask the staff to top your laffa sandwich off with hummus, couscous, red pepper sauce and roasted veggies. It's like a big ole wrap that I love to drink strong black coffee with. The Adams Street store was initially overwhelmed by the crush of hungry crowds for quite a while and on my first visit after the store opened, they ran out of food and then resorted to cleaning the grill. I was a bit pissed but I understood the demand was too strong and these kinds of places are rare in the loop. We trekked there during the brutally cold winter and ice, then through the sweltering summer heat from River North to hit this location. It's no surprise that we were overjoyed to hear that Roti would open a Dearborn and Washington Street location. Hallelujah! It's become our favorite location for several reasons. The layout is much more open and navigable than the Adams Street store. And they offer free wifi, which wasn't initially available at the Adams store. I guess free wifi would have caused people to linger around and not give up their table. They're always friendly, fast and can work the hell out of a long line that constantly streams in and out. They have their shit together and it's refreshing to see. These are the kinds of things that make me even more Chicago patriotic. :) read more

Purely based on flavor, this place HITS THE SPOT. Every element on the plate is incredibly flavorful -- from the proteins to the toppings. Although the process of ordering is really quick, especially during lunch hour where the line is long as hell (but you get it extremely quick because of the speed), you still get so much out of it. A friend and I stopped into Roti for lunch and had a good bite to eat. Décor: These Mediterranean-style Chipotles seem to be all over the place these days! How do you tell them apart?? I digress... The vegetables are nicely grilled and are somewhat sweet. The eggplant is in a tomato sauce which is spicy yet sweet (it's good). The steak is a slightly tough, but it's well spiced. The S'hug spicy sauce is quite hot and the yogurt one really tastes like dill. The hummus has a very refreshing chickpea taste--almost like eating straight chickpeas.
