I had a problem with leaking in my bath the water seemed to be coming from behind the faucet. the first company did not touch the faucet and quoted me 2900$ full shower wall replacement..... we then came my hero Jaelin from roto rotor I was skeptical the the miracle happened. Terrible I feel I was ripped off by Roto rooter They came to my house for a clogged drain to the sewer. They charged me $12,000 for cleanup and to sneak of my drain and that was covered by my insurance company called them back two days later because it happens again they demanded $15,000 for me. I told him that was far too much money. They said that my insurance company wouldn't pay for the plumbing part so I had to pay $ 9000 which I feel they should've never charged me $9000 I should've fixed it because they didn't fix it the first time and now they won't even answer the phone cause I put the $9000 into the water company thinking that State Farm is going to pay for the cleanup and that the water company would pay the additional $9000 for the drain but they claim that State Farm paid for the whole thing and then not paying so that is because Rotorooter have no business billing me another $9000 would never use this company again their con artist he had the nerve to ask me first for $15,000 for the drain and then when I protested it, he automatically dropped it to nine that tells you right there that they're con artist and that's what Roto router is don't use them read more

I can't say enough good things about this group. I called, they came and gave me an estimate and were here the following day to completely change the pipes in the bathroom. They had to cut into the wall, cut out the bad old pipe and replace it with new PVC pipe. Matt, Anthony and James were on time, professional, and neat, and cleaned up after they were done. They made sure everything was working properly before they left. I would highly recommend them for any kind of plumbing work and will definitely use them in the future. If I could leave 10 stars for these guys, I would. After water in my basement creeped out (again), I called these guys to auger the sewer line. After sending a camera 120 ft out to the street, it was determined that there was a break in the pipe (ugh.) Guys came back next day, excavated my yard, dug 8 ft. and determined that the pipe had been smashed by HUGE rocks underground (and not the roots like we originally thought.) The boys were extremely respectful of the property, knowledgable and very polite. Incredible thanks to Nick, James, Matt and Anthony. Not cheap, but I believe they are worth the money. Brian came, was super knowledgeable and able to pinpoint the issue. He ran out quickly to grab some supplies and then was able to complete the job within an hour or 2. Rip off artists. Tech arrived at my house to snake 2 sinks.... He started with a pitch for their version of draino that costs $81 a bottle.... That should have been a clue... then he quoted me $600 to snake EACH DRAIN. That's $1,200 total for around 1 hour of work (and yea we confirmed it was localized to the two sinks and wasn't a main line issue). I asked him politely to leave. Complete gouging attempt and it was pathetic. He then asked if I wanted the pipe shield and I laughed... I called the main number and they said they don't quote over the phone. Now you know why - they are rip off artists. Stay away from these clowns. Ended up getting the work done by a reputable local plumber for $160 all in. So I can want crazy... read more

Wow I was shocked to see Roto Rooter this knowledgeable and professional. I learned that the individual franchise operates much differently from corporate. Matt in Morris runs a tight shop. He sent Brian when a main backup in the street caused our powder room toilet to explode after we hadn't even used it (disgusting). Brian arrived within an hour after we called, quickly diagnosed, called for back up to do some of the internal system cleanup in the basement. He suggested we call the town since there was an issue in the street. All this on one of the largest rain storms and flooding in the area (our issue was unrelated) when everyone else was busy. Brian explained the issue, how he was going to fix it, and summarized once he completed the job. I couldn't ask for more. He saved me 24 hours before family was coming to visit! I have had roto rooter here numerous times for small and big jobs. Today, I had them replace a cracked rooted underground sewer line, that was on my property. I was hesitant to have them do such a big job, but they did a fantastic job. Matt, Jake and Brian were on time, friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable in what they were doing, All three worked well together, each one knew what was needed next, and helped each other. Don't even think about it. I was having trouble getting a real plumber to come snake a drain quickly, probably because they were focused on higher ticket jobs. Someone mentioned Roto Rooter, so I called them. They offered to send someone immediately. I was thrilled at the prospect of being able to use my sink again. When the RR employee showed-up, he had an antique snake thingy that was covered with crud. It looked totally disgusting. To make matters worse, the RR employee was disgusting, too. He was totally oblivious to the fact that he was probably a walking germ factory as a result of snaking God knows what all day every day. He touched everything in my kitchen with abandon, even at some point, picking up a drinking glass that was on the kitchen counter. I have no idea why he thought that was appropriate, nor did I see what he actually use it for. Ugh! Plus, he left a muddy mess on my white kitchen floor as he traipsed back-and-forth to his truck multiple times. When he was done, it seems not to have occurred to him to clean-up or wipe-off anything. I spent a few hours after he left cleaning and sanitizing everything with which he and his equipment came into contact, including door knobs; and I tossed the cup he handled. Oh, and his snaking process made my drain WORSE. I called the office to say that my drain was worse and the young lady pretty much just said "oh well, it happens." Two hundred plus bucks wasted. I immediately called a *real* plumber. Problem solved. And he didn't make much of a mess, but he used paper towels to clean-up what little mess there was. He's my new guy. read more

Came to the office on a Monday to see that something happened with our plumbing, and the sewage water came back up through our toilets. We got referred to Roto-Rooter, and luckily they were able to come out the same day. The tech was friendly and professional, and thankfully got the issue fixed while he was here. Not having any toilets to use was a huge pain so we're very happy we got it straightened out in a short time. Can't comment on the price since i have nothing to compare it to but we'll definitely keep RR in mind whenever we have issues again. read more

Horrible company. Cheaters, liars. We hired them to do the water cleanup in our basement due to flooding in our basement. They took the job but left without completing the job. They are not answering our calls or text messages. I will make sure to tell my family and friends to never ever use these thieves. It's plain disgusting. They said they will throw away the damaged padding but they never did so we had to do that on our own. They never completed the job and disappeared and are extremely over priced. Shame on them!!! Called RR serving the Morris county area. I cannot day enough about Matt M and Bill. They arrived on time, told me with absolute confidence they could get my kitchen sink unclogged. I had told them another plumbing company came and did not fix the issue and charged me $275. Binsky plumbing company told me I needed to rip out my sheet rock, remove/replace some galvanized pipes, resheet rock, spackle, sand and paint. I decided to give it one more shot and call RR. Matt and Bill were incredible professional, arrive during the stated window and explained everything they were doing as I hovered over them. Fixed my clogged drain within 30-45 minutes. Left everything in perfect condition. I have 5 other rental properties, RR will be my go to plumbers from now on. read more

If you use this company get a diagram of what was done and what counts as the job. Then they wont be nasty to you if you misundertand what is guaranteed. Impecability is not just found in service.. its found in understanding and listening and brining solution. Here is what happened: On the first call the upfront office staff and 1st technician were amazing and impeccable. Second round call back experience was the opposite. I called thinking the initial drain clean missed a pipe. Was clear about this on the phone and now understand I was wrong to think it was the same job. different line = different job even if they are feeding same main line. Follow up technician was here within an hour. Another impeccable service aspect. Issue was he was mad to the point of scaring me. Rather than argue with an angry guy I ran in the house and called the company. When talked to the owner Brittney she was argumentative, deffensive, cold hearted and in the end nasty. Had I been in her shoes I would have explained how the misinterpretation happened and offered resolution for extra charge on the spot.Brittney was more interested in proving she was right and doing a money grab nasty statement about scheduling different call. I called to see if I could get someone to come over, the women on the phone was very accommodating and gave me a time slot to expect them. Horrible. Call someone else. I made an appointment 24 hours early the day before and they still arrived 5 hours late. Like I had nothing better to do. It was bad enough that I had to take off work to wait. Once arrived, it was a young inexperienced kid who not only had no clue what to do but had no interest in fixing my problem. He just didn't want to work. He had to pull the toilet and didn't feel like doing so. Therefore I lost a days pay, sat around 5 hours waiting and still had a clogged sewer line. First of all let me begin by saying we called late at night and had a technician to come out for a sewer back up although the technician was very nice my husband had to help him do everything he had to help him with the drains he even helped him clean up after he made an utter mess!! What service man doesn't clean up especially after paying over $500 just to snake a toilet!! We were totally ripped off. We had 2 other plumbers plus the town sewer to come asses the problem. Both agreed that the piping systems where we live we're not installed properly thus causing sewer back up. And when you try to call the office the girls there are so evasive and absolutely rude beyond belief. They have such attitudes they shouldn't even be working customer service. And forget about ever contacting the owner just does not happen save yourself grief and call prestige plumbing which I should've done in the beginning!!!! They are NOT open 24 hours. I called at 6:40 am and after being on hold for about 5 minutes, the answering service picked up. Lady was clueless, no idea when they would call me back. She said she would give out my phone number to someone and they will call me back. I asked when she said she doesn't know. Based on that ALONE, I am calling someone else. If you pride yourself for being open 24 hours then at least have someone slightly knowledgeable picking up the phones for you. Customers don't like to hear someone who states that they know nothing and all they can do is take down your name and number..... NO. And for the person to have the nerve to say that oh it is early... lady, I've been at work since 5 am and I answer calls the proper way, not placing them on hold or half ass it like you do! So shut up and do your job! UGH So, people, Unless you call during 9-5 don't bother with them. NOT worth the aggravation. read more

Spoke to a woman who was very nice and explained what the different prices maybe depending on the type of problem. Made the appointment and was given a window of time in which the Plumber arrived in. Had them come out to the company I work for to fix a clogged line on outside of home. Snaked it and said it was good $1200.00. Next morning had same problem, Called said they be there 1st thing. Never showed. I called next day, couldn't come because employees had to many hours that week??? Came next day around 4 pm, and was told they would have to remove toilet inside and snake from there. They did that $500.00 charge , not covered under warranty??? not sure something about charging to remove toilet. Technician (LOL) said it was good. Next morning same problem. Called Now they need to bring a camera at $500.00 an hour. They said they be between 2 and 4. They didn't show till 4:45. Nobody could stay late, but we so showed the Tech. that the lower clean out was over flowing and sent him away. Called the next day to talk to manager to see if i could get a different technician (lol) He said no and his guy and him have been doing this for over 20 years, and got very angry at me. He also sated I would still need a camera. I said I know where the clog is and that the Technician never looked past the 1st clean out. He got mad and also said it would not be covered under the warranty of the 1st clean out. That they charge from clean out to clean out, not to clear clog.. I told him if I had to have an employee come out an do a job 3 times, I would not be charging the customer. Again I got the 20 years doing this speech. I told him not to come out again. At that time I took a garden hose and went to the 2nd clean out in the yard and flushed the system. I fixed it within 15 min. I'm very dissatisfied with this company. The technician flat out lied to his boss (probably a relative) and said he walked the whole line. I had someone with him the whole time. The boss got very angry and unprofessional. I was way over charged and insulted, plus had to fix it myself. I will never use this service again. Absolutely the worst!!! read more

Although the service technician was courteous and appeared to have a good understanding of our situation, we continued to have the existing problem unresolved. My poor rating applies to the customer service representative AND the owner of the business, both of which treated me in an unprofessional, insensitive manner. The representative was beyond rude, uncaring and demeaning and in an emergency situation nonetheless. Although I was told by the owner (who reviewed the recorded call) that he was placed on a 30 day review, and that she "completely agreed" with how horribly I was treated, she still demanded to be paid ($187.00!) This is after I had to call another company to come fix the original problem which had then gotten worse. My entire basement had flooded and a cleaning company also had to come out. All in all, close to $1,000 to rectify. But yet Roto-Rooter still wants their $187.25! So much for the motto "The customer is always right".... but we still want your money. read more
