We shared a fresh garden salad and ordered the Krewe calzone and deluxe combination calzone -- both were hot, soft, and packed with toppings. It was Wednesday $7.99 calzone day. We split the salad, drank water, and each bill was about $13, which was a great value and kept us full the rest of the day. Excellent service even with only one waitress handling lunch. The Prairieville Rotolo's continues to disappoint. Our waitress forgot our appetizers, left us waiting for drinks, and charged us $13 for plain spaghetti noodles because she didn't know how to ring it up properly. We just paid and left out of frustration. They also rarely have the beers they advertise, and when they do, they're often warm or taste off. The food is good, but the service and bar management really need improvement. read more

I received an email for a free king cake calzone, which sounded kinda good, and since I hadn't had Rotolo's in quite a while, I decided to give it a shot. The pizza I ordered was OK, but the calzone - which was supposed to be filled with cream cheese and cinnamon - was a HUGE disappointment. There was no cream cheese in it, not even a little bit. Zip, zero, nada. Basically all it just dough with some cinnamon sprinkled in the middle and folded over, with some colored sugar sprinkled on top. Ordered the pepperoni pizza just to try for the first time. There are several locations around here and I've never tried them before. First I would say it was cooked to perfection. The crust was exactly what I love although it could be a little more buttery. Just my preference. The ratio of sauce and pepperonis were fine, it just that it had a sweet flavor to it that I didn't care for. Not sure if this sauce is a standard for all they have or just an off day. Eww. Spinach and Artichoke dip tastes metallic and was served to me cold. Accompanying bread was hot, seasoned and cheesy. 8" pizza was obviously made with too large of a dough ball, as the crust was about an inch thick and the cornicione took up half the pie, so only got about 2 square inches of actually cheesy goodness, which tasted okay. Prices are reasonable. Service was friendly and welcoming, although they had the poor server literally by herself at busy lunch rush with no one to manage the bar, answer the phone, take or fulfill carryout orders. She was all smiles and sweet as can be, handling everything in stride and very professional! Poor thing, I hope she abandons this sinking ship! My FAVORITE pizza place! Their calzones are basically all I get from here now. Their pizza can be hit or miss but their calzones seem to be very consistent. I have placed an order before, forgetting that our fridge quit working, thus calling them within 5 min after the order was placed , to request ranch, and the lady happily willing to put some in our Togo order, only for it to never have happened. I feel that they are extremely strict/ greedy with things like that, if you don't pay for it, you're not getting it, now if I tried this more than once okay , but it was the first time I ever asked. This store would get 5 stars from me if they recognized their regular customers (Togo and dine in ) but due to either forgetfulness or greediness, they truly don't care unless you pay up. Bottom line, I love their calzones, there's non any better. I hope one day their repeat customers will mean more to them than .50cents for a ranch. read more

I almost did not go to this Rotolos location because of reviews. I am so glad I tried it anyway. We went for $5.99 calzone Wednesday's. The food was just as good as any other location. The staff was very accommodating for our kind of large party. Our server Dane was awesome and very attentive. We ended up hanging out for a while because the staff and service were so good. Three stars for recent visit and Four stars for past visits. I have been here a few times now for both dine in and carry out. Everything I have from here has been good. They have recently changed their menu by adding new things and changing the name of a couple of pizzas. On this occasion our choice was The Krewe (pizza formerly known as Sweep the Floor). The pizza was very good and fresh and it was waiting for me when I arrived. Overall their food is very good and it has a uniqueness about it. However, something I noticed when getting my pizza is it was a little smaller than I remember it being in the past. Also another thing that changed with the menu is the price. The pizza was $16.00 and that was only a 12 inch medium. Luck for me, during the month of April, customers can return their old Rotolos cups and get a free pizza. If it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't have came here. I suggest visit when it is Calzone Wednesday. They are $5.99. read more

I typically would not write a negative review over this, but this is the 2nd time! Nearly a year ago, I was there with family. I ordered Chardonnay wine. The very nice waitress didn't know if they had it. She came back and reported they were out. I was a little shocked because they have a bar! When I questioned it, she came back with a hot glass of Chardonnay. The children weren't given silverware and every item had to be requested: refills, silverware, cheese, check. Fast forward: I didn't frequent this place for months because I was irritated over the poor service and lack of management, but I figured it was time to give them another try. I placed an order for Chardonnay and guess what??? The sweet waitress said, "I don't think we have any". I asked why and she said they hadn't ordered any. Then I told her the scenario and she came back with a cold glass of Chardonnay. She didn't bring children's menus to the table until we requested one. When she finally made a round to see if we had enjoyed our meal (which we had) I placed an order for a child's dessert of Chocolate Chip Brownie. I was then told it may take a while. Ok. How long? She said about 25 min!!! Really??? She said it was because they were short handed and busy. We had to ask for cheese and the check. Food was tasty. Waitresses have always been polite, but don't seem well trained. The management obviously is lacking in many areas. Won't be back anytime soon! read more

Recommend stepping up your quality to higher than your average fast-food pizza joint if you're going to charge 2 bucks per topping on top of a mediocre piece of bread that's somehow worth 18 bucks before any toppings (ANYTHING, even cheese) is added. The service is astronomically SLOW. Decided to come in because the kids were begging to have pizza and decided to try something new. The first red flag was when we had to wait to be seated only because nobody wanted to bus the multiple empty tables with plates stacked high. The second red flag is that it took 10 minutes to even get our drinks ordered. The third red flag is that it took over an hour (with roughly 40% of tables with customers) to receive our appetizer. Now this should've been when our family got up to leave, but the kids really wanted to stay. Finally, after an hour and 45 minutes we got our food, except for my muffuletta. It took another 20 minutes to get a slice of a sandwich that should be made before heavy service times. We also never received any drink refills despite spending over 2 hours in the restaurant. If you're really considering this location, I highly suggest just getting Papa Johns. TL;DR this place sucks read more

I give this place 2 stars d/t the dry pizza I ordered which was the angry pig and the popeye pizza. The food was okay as if it was possibly fast food pizza which I've had better pizza at little Caesar's. The spinach artichoke dip was okay as well. It was not impressive and all I can say is it was okay. And they didn't have wings which I would think there would be some form of replacement for it or credit or something. Rotolo's is a good place to gather for lunch with co-workers or friends. The dining area has a lot of seating and there's also a patio on the side of the building. The servers here are nice but sometimes service from the kitchen can be a bit slow. If we are dining in we usually call ahead to place our orders ahead of time prior to arriving. We really like coming here for lunch as the calzones are $5.99 on Wednesdays. There is a lot of variety as they offer calzones done 14 different ways. Although for most, the calzone alone will not be enough to fill you up. I recommend pairing it up with cheese sticks or a side salad. Here they also have sandwiches, wings, soups and even pasta. Rotolos can easily become your Wednesday weekly lunch spot or any other day of the week as they have daily specials all throughout the week. read more

We really like Rotolo's it used to be our almost weekly stop after my daughter got out of dance. We put up with a rotating door of staff members some good, some not good, and some downright​ horrible. We put up with slow service and sometimes rude service. We love the calzones, wings, and the cauliflower pizza is the best I have had. If they could get a good staff in there this location could really do great. So disappointed. We recently tried Rotolo's for the first time. We ordered a couple of calzones. They came with maybe a teaspoon of cheese. Decided to give it a second try tonight. We ordered "to go" at the bar and made sure to tell the person taking our order about the calzones we ordered the previous time. We were assured that they would make sure my calzone would come with meat AND CHEESE. After waiting about an hour, our food came. Guess what....couldn't find the cheese so brought it up to the server. Was told it's at the bottom. Pulled the calzone open...if there's cheese we can't find it. They offered to remake my calzone but that would put us waiting who knows how much longer and then the rest of my family would be eating cold food. We got home and cut into it only to be more disappointed. I called and was told they would give me $5 off my next visit. Ummmm....no! I asked for it to be taken off my ticket to which I was told they couldn't do because the ticket was closed. I got there at 7:10pm, I didn't walk out with my order until 8:00pm. Completely absurd. As I waited, I watched the kitchen staff joking around having a good ole time and the other servers and even managers just standing around like they have no care in the world. He jumped on that with enthusiasm and suggested Rotolo's since it's close to our house AND they carried gluten free crusts AND I'd never had Rotolo's before (I know, I know, Louisiana staple and all that...) We ordered a bacon cheeseburger pizza on gf crust and it was ready within 20 minutes for pickup. Their sauce is good, different from other pizza places, but in a good way! Toppings were good, not too much cheese, and delicious crust. They had a good array of menu options (not all heavy Italian dishes) and for some locations you can order online, which I can see being very helpful!
