We've come here at least 5/6 times before. Staff pleasant, clean inside & outside seating areas. Our appetizer onion rings were the same as previously ordered, large hit and crispy. Drink was good. Disappointed in the Surf & Turf Entree. Menu stated Two 3 oz filet mignon, grilled shrimp, bourbon glaze, baby spinach salad with feta cheese, grape tomato, balsamic dressing. The 2 Filets were literally the size of a quarter, height & width, 2 scrawny shrimp. The baby spinach salad was 3 leaves of spinach one tomato with a drop of dressing..... so disappointing... not a salad!!! This place is relatively not busy and the service has always pretty good. Most of the time the parking isn't great. Crab pretzel braid is probably our favorite thing to get here. While pet sitting for Annville friends, we googled places to eat near us and so many popped up. But the photos and reviews being so positive, off we went to colorful Rotunda, just 6 miles away. What a fun atmosphere and lively bar area. Well attended for a Thurs late lunch. We had a very helpful server named Casey who gave us a little tour to decide where we wanted to sit. Outside of the bar there is a space that was wide open to the outside. A perfect day to enjoy lunch and drinks. My husband chose the Cuban, anc I chose the steak sandwich. Positively delicious. Ample servings so i took half of mine home. We lingered awhile in very comfy chairs (really really important!), just enjoying a breezy place that reminded us so much of the casual vibe of the islands in the Caribbean. If you want a pleasant lunch in a restaurant with very nice, friendly staff, do try Rotunda. We look forward to visiting again! read more

This neighborhood restaurant use to be a favorite of mine to dine as it is close to my home and the food is pretty good. My friend and I made plans to go last Sunday October 28th, 2025 and upon arrival, we immediately sensed an energy shift when we entered the restaurant. The person who was at the host station was not pleasant or welcoming. He asked if we wanted to be seated inside or outside and we selected inside. My date and I were taken to this isolated room within the restaurant that didn't have any ambience or other people in it. We both felt like we were being ostracized because we were an interracial couple. We decided to see if things would improve once we were seated and they did not. The waitress brought the menu's and took our drink orders and took her time bringing them back to us. The wait time for a glass of wine and a beer should be under 5 mins and she took about 15 minutes to come back with drinks. In that time period of simply waiting for drinks in a restaurant that was not crowded, we noticed staff passing by the room we were in just staring at us as if we were some sort of oddity. I guess in these parts, seeing a black and white couple is an oddity to them. When our drinks came, we decided that we would finish them and then ask for the bill. We did just that and the waitress came back and asked if we were ready to order. My guy said that no we will be leaving and she looked a bit surprised but said nothing. We got the not subtle hint that we were not welcomed in a place a few months ago was very welcoming. I guess the staff and vibe changed. The staff was also poorly groomed and lacked professionalism. Decided to try for lunch today and sat in the tiki bar area. Ordered the poutine with beef and asked them to add a couple of fried eggs on top, and it was delicious!! Bloody Mary's were garnished with olives and celery and also very good. The waiter was excellent. He checked on us often and refilled our water without us asking. I met a friend there. I got a flight of the beer. The waiter brought out one of the wrong beers and when I told him he said they were the same thing. I didn't drink the beer and I pointed out on the menu that they definitely weren't the same thing and instead of getting what I asked for he has the manager take $2.50 off my bill which didn't even cover that portion of the flight. I would have preferred to have what I ordered, but the waiter was too busy hugging and flirting with some woman at the table next to us to actually attend to what was going on at my table. We visited Rotunda Brewing for the second time, the first time was a little hazy, and we weren't disappointed. We sat on the outside patio which had ample seating and great service. During our previous visit there was a swing at the bar and who knows... maybe it will make another appearance. The bartender was extremely helpful with our to-go can selection and our waitress made excellent food recommendations. We took some pictures (attached) and would rate the food highly. Batdorf is a great restaurant with a lot to offer. Both times I've gone I've sat in the back porch area which has a great open air environment perfect for nice days. It also has plenty of big teams to view all the games. The craft selection is on point with many great beers to choose from. They primarily feature Rotunda Brewery but there's plenty of others as well. Rotunda also has an attached Tap Room with a separate bar that is (currently) only open on the weekends. You can get additional beer choices from Rotundas tap room and bring back to Batdorfs if you want. The food has been very good. I've tried the burrito and the rib eye cheesesteak and was very satisfied with both. The menu is varied and offers a lot great choices for everyone. I've had nothing but positive experiences with the staff. They are friendly and will chat you up. Many of the customers seem to be regulars and are friendly and talkative as well. I think this place is good for people who come back during the holidays and want to meet up with old friends. What I do not think it is good for is lunch or dinner without drinking. I went here with some family and wasn't blown away by my meal. I started with the lobster bisque. Where was the lobster, you ask? I don't know. It was basically creamy tomato soup with chunks of under-cooked celery in it. The lobster was nowhere to be found. The southwest burger was edible, but not great. The burger looked like a frozen patty, but the inside was still slightly pink, so I was confused because that's not possible with a frozen piece of ground beef. The bun was far too large for the size of meat that they give you, and I was thrown off by the side of tortilla chips that come with the sandwiches. Plain tortilla chips? Why? I don't understand. Maybe if you got a bowl of salsa for the table it would make sense. If not, just stick with regular chips or cole slaw or something. Our waitress was nice enough. The decor was nice enough. To me the Batdorf is an oldy but goody since I used to frequent this restaurant years ago but have had quite a lapse in my patronage. So for my most recent dining experience I was expecting to leave pleased even with my recent dietary adjustments. And... I was! I was stoked at how simple it was to dine on a plant based meal for two. On the menu there were quinoa enchiladas with sautéed onions, tomatoes and peppers smothered in salsa verde (mildly spicy) cabbage slaw and cubed jicama. House made guac and salsa roja on the side. What? I couldn't ask for a more delicious enchilada combo. I also added extra chopped raw onions and we completely devoured this dish. No skimping on flavor in this vegan offering. Bravo! We chowed dow on salsa and chips while waiting for our next entrée, the buddha bowl. When it arrived first thing I noticed was the generous portion size and colorfulness. They swapped out the chipotle honey dressing for a sesame ginger soy for a completely vegan cuisine. Fresh chopped carrots, mushrooms, onions, sautéed spinach, purple cabbage... beautiful combo. I did however add a few extras to ramp up the flavor by asking for small sides of caramelized onions, crushed garlic, cilantro, chopped raw red onions and a pinch of salt and hot sauce. We literally were in foodie heaven. I might add that Rotunda Brewing Company (family owned) IPA beer washed down the goodness perfectly. No complaints. So if you are in the Annville area and looking for a quick tasty bite, (carnivore or herbivore) need a date night spot, or want to imbibe on a decent beer, margarita or cocktail from either of their full bars, be their guest. read more

I would give the food 4 stars, but the beer, bars, live music and overall ambience 5 stars. I came on a saturday night and the outside patio was packed. We were there to hear the music so we went to the inside bar. I loved the mango cart beer and also the kombocha beer (great for a hangover. ) For food, I had the chimichangas which was good. However, a chimichanga is deep fried, and this was not. It was baked with sauce on top. I live in the SF bay area, and it should be called a wet burrito. I didn't find or taste any chorizo inside, but it was satisfying. Why the burrito came with chips and was less $$, but the 'chimichanga' had no chips on the side was weird.
