The dentist and the staff are amazing and took very gentle care with kids (6-13 yrs old) today. I was able to secure an appointment for all 4 kids efficiently. The office is very modern and has all the right touches to make a child feel comfortable. My 6 year old daughter didn't assistance for an extraction as she was that comfortable. It is cold inside to keep the germs away so bring a jacket if you get cold easily! I highly recommend this dental office

Horrible experience. I would never give this practice my real Social Security number…read more My children received treatment in January 2022, and I paid the deductible with my credit card at the time of service. Then, out of nowhere in June 2026, I discovered they had sent an unexplained balance to collections. When I called to ask why, I was told they do not mail or email bills. They only send text messages. I never received any text messages about an outstanding balance. If there really was money owed, why was I not properly notified before they sent it to collections almost four years later? The representative also could not explain why there was still a balance due when I had already made payments in 2021 and 2022. He said he did not understand it either. I asked to speak with the manager, but I was told the manager was unavailable and would call me back the next day. That call never came. I called again and was given the same promise, but the manager still never returned my call. I do not recommend this practice. I am writing a letter to the office and to the Texas Attorney General asking them to investigate these billing practices. I still want an explanation of why I was charged, why the account was sent to collections without proper notice, and why this has now damaged my credit.

They just expected us to hold them down while barely brushed their teeth. At our most recent appointment I had a concern about my son's back tooth. My son was due for xrays. A young male took my son back for x rays alone. They were gone for a while, so I got uncomfortable. I walked back several times to check because it had been so long. Each time I could not see much, but I could see my son's feet and he was calmly sitting. During our brushing he did not want to participate. The doctor eventually came in they forcibly held him down. Dr. Julia had no patience for him and I don't think that pediatric dentistry is for her. She wanted to put him under anesthesia for the cavity she thought he may have, but could not conclude due to the poor x-ray images. I called back after requesting the x-rays to be redone where you could not see the teeth I clearly requested to be x-rayed. Dr. Wang said he would only take them under anesthesia because he was difficult. Dr. Wang was not present to know how our office visit went and the young guy who did the x rays was not in the office today. They seem like they just want to put your kid under. It seems like a money grab and a bunch of unprofessional practices going on.

I feel like it is so hard to find a trustworthy dentist and when it comes to your kids especially,…read moreyou want the best! I cannot tell you how pleased we are with Pediatric Dentist of Katy! Dr. Po and his staff are awesome, honest and amazing! Everyone should take their kid here!

Never thought I'd be saying I enjoyed my visit to the dentist. But never in my wildest dreams did I…read morethink my 2 year old would throw a fit because we had to leave the dentist! God's honest truth. My theory is it boils down to a beautiful symphony of two worlds: the professional and experienced staff; then the genius, kid-friendly atmosphere. My first phone call was in a panic. I had called several offices trying to get an appointment for my just-turned-two-year-old who had just knocked out his front tooth. Other dentists' offices yawned to get me an appointment within the next few days and were more concerned about our insurance info (i.e. their money). Dr Po's office immediately said this is an emergency and that we 'must come in that second' and gave us very detailed instructions on what to do (tooth in whole milk, etc). It was one of those epiphanies because I thought: wow, what's wrong with those other dentists and why didn't I call these guys first?! So within the hour we were there and we saw Dr Po and he put our toddler's tooth back in like a rockstar. Did I mention he is cross between 007 and Ron Burgundy (he's very funny)? He was so cool under pressure (because our toddler was freaking out, after all it was a traumatic first visit), yet so confident and in control. And his staff were yet again bending over backwards to help us and to get to know us in person. We got the full tour of the office after, and they even have a special waiting room that has a nice leather couch, stuffed animals and a tv. It closes off and serves as a resting place for patients after procedures if they're still drowsy. I would say this office is mostly a train theme. The centerpiece is a full train above the main desk that loops around the office complete with detailed scenery. There are train puzzles and train toys, a chest full of building blocks, a kids table and plenty (tons) of chairs in a big reception area in front. They even have a rabbit in Dr Po's office that they let my boy pet. When we pulled into the parking lot my second visit, my son was already calling for the choo choo train and by the time we went up the stairs to their office on the second floor, he wanted to see the rabbit too! And after my most recent visit, he wanted to play after our appointment and was quite upset when we had to leave. So lots of positives in his mind and we can safely say he loves coming here! Sure, he does the typical crying at first when he sits in the big chair to get some work done, but they were able to clean his teeth with no issues whatsoever, amazingly. They have the magic touch, clearly. Imagine that traumatic of a first visit; yet can get his teeth cleaned the second visit like a pro. Clearly this place has been doing dentistry a long time. I can't say enough about the staff, they are one of a kind. I've been to the dentist more times than I want in my life, but I've never seen this warm a atmosphere. To put it in more layman's words: they are like Chick-fil-a and others are McDonald's. I'm glad we finally found a dentist for our boys!

Our second visit was an emergency appointment for my son who had a chipped tooth, paid a $120 for a five minute office visit to be told I would have to come back for the repair. Fast forward to the third visit for the tooth repair, our appointment was for 7:20am when we arrive there is a sign at the receptionist desk advising they are in an office meeting until 7:30. Why would you schedule an appointment for 7:20 if you're going to be in a meeting at that time, as if the customers time is not valuable. I addressed my issue with the receptionist and I'm met with an instant attitude and told, we always have office meetings at that time regardless if an appointment is scheduled. There is a lack of any kind of customer service or even acknowledging my concern. I made the decision to bring my children to this office based on the reviews I saw, but if you are looking for a dentist office with great care and customer service this is not the place.

The first time that I was scheduled at this office ( Katy Kids Dentist ) there was a large dead…read moreroach on the floor under a chair in the waiting area. I actually have a photo that I sent my husband while waiting. I wanted to grab my child and dart out of the door. I felt this was a sign initially. Aside from that, my child loved the airline pilot decor. We had waited for this appt. for a bit and I took off from work and school so we gave it a chance. We saw the female Dr. Approx. 1-2 weeks after she placed the crown, I noticed it was loose. My child sat quietly and was well behaved the entire time. So I believe it was tech. Error or weak cement. She used N2O and local anesthetic upon my request. She pushed liquid sedation but after observing his compliant demeanor she agreed N2O and local anesthesia would work which it did. I am glad that I advocated for my child when he did not need stronger sedative. Plus, it's an upcharge. An unnecessary one in my child's case. In addition to this, at a prophy appointment this office charged $75 for Fl2 Varnish. You will never run across this high price for Fl2 varnish anywhere else in the city of Houston. I have the bill to prove this was the charge for both kids for Fl2 varnish was $75 x 2 in addition the exam, prophy, and bitewing fees. I went back because I wanted her to recement this crown who a friend of mine who is a dentist said that she would have put a pretty resin 2 surface resin filling in the tooth not a ssc. My child's decay was not very large and I even doubted it needed a stainless steal crown. I realize SSC have their benefits. After giving this Dr. yet another chance, meeting my other child the Dr wanted to sedate that child too. My kids love the DDS are are very compliant. She even wanted to use conscious sedation to recement the crown. She basically did this so I would leave the practice in my opinion because she knew that I wouldn't want that. Even the front office was surprised to see this on the treatment, My kids had a dentist but we changed to this office because our DDS no longer excepted our insurance. They never had problems and never recommended sedation. We only went here due to our insurance and cute decor noted on the website. If you want to pay more than anyone else for Fl2 triple what other charge come here to see the female Dr. If you want your child to be sedated even when they don't need it and have to pay an extra $350 this is your place! If you want subpar cement to go with the crown go here. If not, it is worth it to shop around. I am concerned about ethics with this Dr. Why was she so eager to recommend sedation even with minimal treatment with compliant children? The assistants are personable and sweet. Make sure if your child gets a prophy here that they are not just doing a rubber cup polish for the charge of a child prophy especially if your child has all primary teeth or mixed with perm. Make sure that there is also a scaler on the bracket table not just a mirror and explorer. You are paying for it.
