Mad I didn't take pictures, but I'm even more mad that I have not given the best pizza place in our area a review yet in my own hometown!!! I'm super mad at myself! AnyWho, me and The hubs strolled in about 430. Labor Day - I absolutely love the remodel. I have ordered out and my hubby has picked up for us, but I haven't been in since the remodel. I feel like pizza is usually delivered to the house or you pick it up to take home for us, but we wanted to sit down as we just came from a long day at the lake and of course Castroville round table never disappoints The service was pretty friendly. The restaurant was extremely clean and the reason they got the fifth star was the military salute that they had in their front room. With flags of all service branches and the fallen soldier table my heart was touched. My father, who is a very proud veteran passed away recently , and he would've loved to see that in a restaurant because how much being a veteran was part of him and all of us growing up.. I have a great deal of respect and love for all veterans, and especially those of our community. It was truly touching to see. Bravo whoever suggested that and I hope when you read this, it makes you smile that someone appreciated it as much as you did Way to go round table ! Great food great customer service! Go to this one not the one in Prunedale even if it's a longer drive, the workers are nicer and more accommodating. We were going to have pizza late at night and the one at Prunedale was not only rude but lied to us and closed an hour early so they wouldn't have to make our food, AFTER handing a pizza to someone else! I got my pizza, me and my wife ate one slice to realize it had sausage on it(pork), we never eat meat, never have and tonight because of this business we did, we are so disgusted, we have no words to say, this is so bad. I walked back in and they acted like no big deal. The girl who took my order came and asked other staff to see the pizza, also they took our less than half eaten pizza in the kitchen and left it on the table. They did say sorry, they said they understand and were very casual about. They asked me to wait while they make another one in 15 min, i demanded a refund and they gave me a refund. As a local of Castroville, I've been coming here for years. Usually dinning in or placing carry out orders the food quality is as expected and the atmosphere is great. It was until years later when I began to order deliver because of the pandemic. However Not a single time in the last 5 years or so that I have placed a delivery order has it been a good experience. My house to the restaurant is a 14 min their and back. It's always an hour plus delivery time. Not a huge deal. But when the orders are cold, incomplete and lack of care man it really grows old. A 2 hour wait and my food is still not here, you've lost a customer. Get better at deliver or add a third party deliver system. I.e. Doordash, GrubHub, Uber-Eats. All those guys would be here in under 30 min. read more

I didn't leave a tip in the box because I planned to give the delivery guy cash. Why would I pay $28 for a pizza, "THEN"!!!! drive 3 miles into town, in the cold? PLUS TIP them for the privilege! Ordered 2 pizzas for delivery, ordered the combination and the chicken garlic gourmet. Delivery was pretty fast but once we opened the boxes we were looking at two sad naked looking pizzas, both missing multiple toppings. Called the store get put on hold once I finally get through I tell the girl who answered the phone my problem that both pizzas are missing toppings. She says she will transfer me to the manager and puts me back on hold. Then I am hung up on. Call back and get asked to hold again! I said no I was hung up on and explain the situation again. Finally get thru to the manager who says oh they didn't tell you we are out of those toppings?? No they didn't. She says well we can't remake it for you because we don't have the toppings. Ok that's totally understandable, I get that businesses can be out of items but to not disclose that is unprofessional. I would've ordered elsewhere if this was told to me beforehand. Called today at 6:10pm placed an order for delivery, they asked to confirm my address they had it correct, 9:15 I call and ask where my order is since they're about to close and even though I ordered delivery and they confirmed my address and gave a time to expect the delivery they said no its for pick-up. So 3 hours no notification to get their blunder fixed since I'm at work til 4am and can't leave for food, she then said oh the driver left early I asked to speak to a manager and was told everyone's already left and only the cleaning crew is there, yet it was still operating hours. While working in the area my family and I went to the shopping center looking for a place to eat. As it was late and everyone were closing, we came to this Round Table hopping the kitchen would still be open. As it was past 9:00pm it was closed but to our surprise, the owner herself told us she will make a pizza for us. I have regarding Round Table pizza, anywhere...to be my pizza of choice for many years. Small Gourmet Vegetarian, with extra cheese on a skinny crust. Last Friday night, I decided to go online and order the same at the Castroville Round Table on my route home. I picked it up and as I drove home, I took a piece and thought, hmm, I guess the topping fell into the carton. When I got home, I looked at the pizza and found that I couldn't see any white sauce, and there wasn't extra cheese, actually barely had any cheese. The crust was also bubbled and burnt. It looked like whoever had put the pizza together, had not done it before. So disappointed... I live 20 minutes past that particular place and so I didn't want to drive all the way back. It's not the usual experience for me at a Round Table but I won't go back there. read more

The pizza itself is as good as any other Round Table BUT DO NOT BOTHER ORDERING FOR DELIVERY!! We order from this place at least once very 3-4 months. Without any exaggeration they have been thirty minutes to an hour late delivering our pizza the last half dozen times we've ordered. (Last time they were 55 minutes late.) Gave them their last chance tonight and the pizza arrived exactly 45 minutes late (1hr and 45min after having placed the order) and it was once again luke warm with the added benefit of having been smashed against the lid this time. Same excuse EVERY time, they are "super busy with deliveries tonight". First off, it's a Tuesday! Second, if the pizza is going to take an hour and forty five minutes maybe your website shouldn't give a delivery time of an hour (or less)! Most important however, maybe you shouldn't send the delivery kid out with so many pizzas that he spends an hour driving them around town while they get cold and crushed. (By the way I travel A LOT, and, while it may come as a shock, most of the restaurants in the country got takeout and delivery down to an absolute science this past year!) read more

The pizza is pretty good. The delivery guy is friendly. The place is pretty clean (newly remodeled). It's the only pizza joint near our house and they"re, well, okay... Could be great, but it's just not. Seems like a little friendlier staff wouldn't be too much to ask. If you have a few minutes, there are better pizza places just down the highway in Marina and Seaside. We can (and have) driven to the restaurant in the time they leave us on hold. To be fair, as the only show in town, it can get busy (orders, but not dine-in). If you're okay being ignored in the restaurant or being on hold for over 5 minutes when you order by phone, than the Pizza's pretty good. read more

I have been going to this Round Table pizza for years and have not experience lately the problem that round table has encounter lately.. it seems that every time I buy pizza from this establishment they burn the edges of the pizza!! Every time NO joke!! I am not sure if there oven is really old and or something but it seems it needs replaced because obviously it's not doing its job right! Terrible! Sent 2 pizza with air bubbles all over. Then when called to ask them to remake it. They said no and offered a discount for the next oder I would make. I had to fight with the cashier about getting the manager 15 mins later of arguing with the cashier she finally got the manager. The manager then wanted to only make half of the pizza since only half had bubbles. Ridiculous customer service. Finally I told them I wanted a full refund and all the sudden they made my order again and complete. Just ridiculous. read more

This place has great pizza! Definitely my favorite of all the larger chain pizza joints. The pizza is prepared quickly and the staff is extra nice at this location. I don't know what it is about this particular Round Table, but their pizza just seems to taste better than other Round Tables Pizzas in the area. I really like that they've upgraded their oven to those cool rolling ones. The place could definitely use more seating as it gets crowded, and maybe even a remodel as its fairly old, but that doesn't affect the quality of the food. My biggest gripe with this place is that they no longer have my all time favorite pizza, the "artisan" made with fresh mozarella and basil. read more

I was contacted by their management, and they really wanted to know about the problem and how they could of done better. I was invited back in to give them a second chance and they definitely delivered and made up for it 10 times. Karina was awesome!she really cares about her family business and is willing to go the extra mile to provide the best customer service and pizza! So I wanted to order a lunch special all you can eat pizza and 1 trip to salad bar for around $8.95 .... I had my father with me and all he wanted was a salad so as I ordered I told the lady I'm gonna eat pizza and my dad will take my salad and she told me that I couldn't do that ...that she was very strict with that...
