I have regarding Round Table pizza, anywhere...to be my pizza of choice for many years. Small Gourmet Vegetarian, with extra cheese on a skinny crust. Last Friday night, I decided to go online and order the same at the Castroville Round Table on my route home. I picked it up and as I drove home, I took a piece and thought, hmm, I guess the topping fell into the carton. When I got home, I looked at the pizza and found that I couldn't see any white sauce, and there wasn't extra cheese, actually barely had any cheese. The crust was also bubbled and burnt. It looked like whoever had put the pizza together, had not done it before. So disappointed... I live 20 minutes past that particular place and so I didn't want to drive all the way back. It's not the usual experience for me at a Round Table but I won't go back there. read more

The pizza itself is as good as any other Round Table BUT DO NOT BOTHER ORDERING FOR DELIVERY!! We order from this place at least once very 3-4 months. Without any exaggeration they have been thirty minutes to an hour late delivering our pizza the last half dozen times we've ordered. (Last time they were 55 minutes late.) Gave them their last chance tonight and the pizza arrived exactly 45 minutes late (1hr and 45min after having placed the order) and it was once again luke warm with the added benefit of having been smashed against the lid this time. Same excuse EVERY time, they are "super busy with deliveries tonight". First off, it's a Tuesday! Second, if the pizza is going to take an hour and forty five minutes maybe your website shouldn't give a delivery time of an hour (or less)! Most important however, maybe you shouldn't send the delivery kid out with so many pizzas that he spends an hour driving them around town while they get cold and crushed. (By the way I travel A LOT, and, while it may come as a shock, most of the restaurants in the country got takeout and delivery down to an absolute science this past year!) read more

I have been going to this Round Table pizza for years and have not experience lately the problem that round table has encounter lately.. it seems that every time I buy pizza from this establishment they burn the edges of the pizza!! Every time NO joke!! I am not sure if there oven is really old and or something but it seems it needs replaced because obviously it's not doing its job right! The pizza needs to be cooked completely without being burned. Not unless the customer asks for burned pizza which I don't think pele really want that! If they can work on that this please would be alright. Also they take forever to get your order really when your eating in.. cashier says 15-20 min and really it's 35-45 min minimum! read more

Terrible! Sent 2 pizza with air bubbles all over. Then when called to ask them to remake it. They said no and offered a discount for the next oder I would make. I had to fight with the cashier about getting the manager 15 mins later of arguing with the cashier she finally got the manager. The manager then wanted to only make half of the pizza since only half had bubbles. Ridiculous customer service. Finally I told them I wanted a full refund and all the sudden they made my order again and complete. Just ridiculous. read more

This place has great pizza! Definitely my favorite of all the larger chain pizza joints. The pizza is prepared quickly and the staff is extra nice at this location. I don't know what it is about this particular Round Table, but their pizza just seems to taste better than other Round Tables Pizzas in the area. I really like that they've upgraded their oven to those cool rolling ones. The place could definitely use more seating as it gets crowded, and maybe even a remodel as its fairly old, but that doesn't affect the quality of the food. My biggest gripe with this place is that they no longer have my all time favorite pizza, the "artisan" made with fresh mozarella and basil. read more

(Updated Review) I'm a local resident of Castroville and I have a weakness for pizza. My fist review was not a good one for this roundtable location. I was contacted by their management, and they really wanted to know about the problem and how they could of done better. I was invited back in to give them a second chance and they definitely delivered and made up for it 10 times. Karina was awesome!she really cares about her family business and is willing to go the extra mile to provide the best customer service and pizza! If you ever have any concerns or have been unhappy in the past don't hesitate to let them know because they are very open minded and they definitely place the opinions of the customer first to provide the best service and best product possible. My husband, daughter and I arrived on a Friday night at 4 pm and their was two tables ahead of us. Their was only two people working and their customer service SUCKED! The girl at the counter was slow and acted as if everything was an inconvenience. My husband ordered a beer and it took her ten minutes to even pour it and another ten minutes to serve it. So I wanted to order a lunch special all you can eat pizza and 1 trip to salad bar for around $8.95 .... I had my father with me and all he wanted was a salad so as I ordered I told the lady I'm gonna eat pizza and my dad will take my salad and she told me that I couldn't do that ...that she was very strict with that... skimp on sauces (watered down/ barely could see it), flavors were off. Not edible. We had a large order. Used this place plenty. Great tippers. Instead of the manager offering at least "we'll get your next one" or "how about half off your order of 2 large pizzas, 1 med, bread sticks and salad"....they said " oh, well, since we don't see it we can't do anything about it". when I mentioned the poor customer service response in a kind way I was told, Maybe I could get $10 off next time. As soon as I walked in to get my order and I approached the front counter the first that was so great was the girl at the register that had the best smile and such cheerful attitude she really looked like she loves her job. We went on Saturday night, it was very busy, there were new workers, although they very friendly, it took a while to get our order, when we got it about an hour later, it was not hot, we mentioned to the waitress when she came by, and the manager came over, she was the most friendliest, professional, and kindest person, she apologized and got out order out within 15 minutes, HOT and delicious!!! I ordered my pizza around 6:30 pm and now it is 9:01pm. I have NOT received my pizza yet. I have never been this dissapointed with someone this much. They had called me to let me know it would take 1 hr 30 mins which I agreed to. I should have gotten my pizza around 8 pm. Now 9:35 pm and still no pizza. No calls or any updates. 10:27 and no pizza. They told me they have no pending orders. That is ridiculous and unnaceptable. I made a few calls asking for an update throughout the wait time.That is so wrong. This is my Favorite pizza in the world I have ate at a lot of difrent pizza places in california but this Round Table has a personal touch that cannot be found just anywhere. As soon as you walk in and meet the staff u automatically feel like family and that is very special and unique to me and my family. Round table is one of the things I look forward to when I visit this area, they don't have one where I live. I ordered a combination for delivery, when I finally received my order an hour later, I received someone else's pizza. I called to see if maybe the delivery driver had my pizza and maybe could get mine but to no avail. When the employee called me back about 8 minutes later she asked if they could make me the same order and have it delivered, which would take about an hour I chose to pick it up. Frustrated that I wouldn't be comped for something, not so much as a discount to come pick up a pizza that I had to pay delivery fees for, oh and I also had to bring the other pizza and it was inspected to make sure It hadn't been touched. I used to rave about this place. My family, friends and I have been getting pizza here for over 30 years. So disappointed to see the quality and customer service declining. The last three times we have ordered pizza for delivery it's been late, cold and upsetting. Once it was over an hour and a half after it was ordered. Have been eating here for over 25-30 years. My favorite pizza is my custom original thin crust white sauce with mushrooms. I am vegetarian for 13 years but when i ate meat I loved the linguisa pizza. But love to change it up with mushroom, jalapeño, olives. Or a simple all pineapple pizza and the flat bread pizzas are great. Better flavors for the flat breads. Have to get Artichoke hearts on pizza as well of course cuz it's in the Artichoke Capital. It is definitely the Best chain pizza place ever. This particular "round table" is just better than any other round tables. I dont know why but it is great and when i see the pizza fresh, coming toward me i still after 25+ years look at it and think "this looks so bomb" cant wait to eat. The upgrade made the look 1,000,000 times better. Added many Big screen t.v.'s , new layout, the games are 100% better than the last piece of crap games they had for too many years. And the games are only 5 cents so your kids can have a ball for $3 instead of $10. I recommend this place over all pizza "chains" read more

Best customer service ever! Employees are really kind and do their best to keep customers happy . Pizza is so good from the dough to the sauce to the toppings freshly cut . I would give this place 100 stars based on food quality they literally have the best pizza around! Which is why I drove from Monterey tonight to get pizza. I phoned in an order and asked what types of combination pizza they have, the girl on the phone wasn't really helpful so I just said "can I please have your guys's combo that comes with artichokes" which I now know is called the "Wombo Combo" so when I went in I was helped by the Manger "Corina Barientos" who gave me the worst customer service I've ever had. She told me I should have known the name, it wasn't her employee's job to explain the difference to me. I asked if it would be possible to remake it and she said we could but you would have to pay for both. She was disrespectful and was not taking me seriously what so ever. I have been coming to get this pizza forever and I've never had the terrible customer service I experienced tonight. I now left paying for a pizza I didn't want, and angry. I know this place is family ran but I think it would be in the families best interest to not allow her to deal with customers. This is my second, and LAST time for using their on line ordering. First time was a complete screw up, (2 1/4 hours for my pizza) I thought I'd give them the benefit of of doubt, and try again. As if now, my pizza delivery is 25 minutes late....making it 1 1/2 hours since I called my order in......lesson learned.....NEVER AGAIN!!
