Arrived at 1:00 p.m. for buffet pizza for two people paid $38 the pizza selection was very limited and old looking look like it'd been there since they opened the salad bar the lettuce was all wilted and limp and the dressing look like it was from leftovers the restaurants general cleanliness was poor I requested a fresh pizza and they told me if I wanted a better selection of pizza I should get there earlier in the morning I don't think I'll be going back to this restaurant maybe a different one in Chico but the one on Forest avenue sucks read more

First time to this place in Chico since moving up here. When I saw the buffet sign, I was excited. I had the buffet in Sacramento prior to covid and it was very good. So was very excited that the buffet is back in Chico. Went in and paid for the buffet and it was a mistake. There was only half a pizza there. Took a long time for the employees to bring out another one. There were 8 - 10 people eating the buffet so thought they would bring another one out. Not sure if it's a corporate thing but I recently went in to this location and the pepperoni pizza was obviously thinned out. It had been years since I've been here with the family but when we went in, it was disappointing. This was our favorite location for round table pizza but if it's going to be card board thin then I won't be back, considering the price. Usually love round table pizza but this time was not impressed. We called an order for delivery. Upon ordering we asked for a large garden salad. The girl said they were out of large containers so it would need to be put into two small containers, no big deal. We asked for honey mustard to go with the salad. The girl said their salads do not come with dressing. What??? Maybe it was her first day. Not sure. We ordered two "EXTRA" ($$$) sides of honey mustard. When called to inquiry the status of the delivery was told that the time given online was just an estimate and that the pizza had not been made yet. We placed our order at 6:49pm and the estimated time of delivery was 7:29pm. We did not receive our order until 8:17pm. Once received the pizza was cut extremely disproportionately and there was close to 4" of crust as if in retaliation to our inquiry of delivery. One of the dirtiest restaurants I have ever been to. I ordered online and went in to pick it up. I was the only person in the restaurant and there was about 5 people in the back working. My order wasn't ready yet so I got beer and went to sit down and there was not one clean table in the whole place. I sat at a table with pieces of food on it and looked around while sipping my beer and there were pieces of food on every table. There were pieces from the salad bar all over the floor. Tomatoes on the floor, lettuce crust, napkin etc. I reluctantly looked in the back to watch them prepare food and there was what looked like grease on the walls that looked like nothing had been wiped down in weeks if not months. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and polite. The guy who poured my beer was a bit lost and couldn't figure out which beer was which and after just stood around... how about someone vacuums all the bits of old food on the floor? Or wipes down maybe just 1 table? I can deal with a lot but this place is just gross. Wont be returning or ordering again. read more

After a few calls with GM Paula I rec'd the refund to my card and she sent me a card for a free pizza. She explained they were training new staff and asked for me to try them again. Well this Sunday we gave it a shot and the experience was much better. We opted to pick up a pizza, salads and twists. Called in pretty early, was told about 35 minutes. We got there a little early to make salads and met the new manager, Kevin. He was attentive and helpful. They were busy like usual but everyone was working hard and hustling. I am a fan of round table, but do enjoy other spots in town a tad more. Without a coupon, it can be a little expensive. Delivery is also $2 bucks, but most places charge in my experience. I have never had a bad experience with this Round Table though. Their service is always good, pizza is always fresh and hot and they have a good lunch buffet. I will be back many more times I'm sure. read more

The employee James was extraordinary on the phone! I could tell he was honestly happy and soooo friendly!! When I came to pick up my order there were two super friendly employees, the other one was named Kevin. I asked for the manager and told him how awesome his employees are, the manager was genuinely super friendly too! I could tell the work environment here is awesome and they obviously get treated well! Good on management! A good attitude goes along way and these guys deserve a raise. After my sister had her new baby and was finally home we came to visit them for the day. I wanted to order lunch for the group and pizza was the best option for kids and adults alike. I called in an order for delivery of the Chicken Garlic Supreme and garlic twists. We also asked for extra paper plates napkins because we didn't want to do dishes and we had little kids eating. You need lots of napkins which my sister didn't have at the moment. I paid with credit card and was kind of uncomfortable giving to the guy who answered. He asked me questions about my card that I've never been asked before. I was really uncomfortable and have been checking my card ever since. Nothing has happened but I'm still suspicious. So then to the delivery. It came in a timely fashion. They forgot the plates and napkins. My poor sister had to do dishes which we are trying to avoid. Three complaints about this Round Table. We ordered online and our Pick up time was 7:30, didn't get everything until 7:50. Their excuse was that they mixed our order up with another customer. It was just a gourmet veggie and boneless hot wings. Kind of a pain. While waiting we observed two guys walking into the back, pouring their own beer and going back to sit in the dining area. They were not in uniform but we assume they are employees. We found that very unprofessional. Employees on duty should not be drinking and employees off duty should not pour their own beer (or even grab their own food). I could see maybe grabbing some food but pouring drinks is very unprofessional and probably against company policy. AND if they weren't employees it's got to be illegal to just let random people pour and drink beer for free. Hopefully the manager is reading this. Lastly, they forgot green onions on our gourmet veggie! WTF!? That's our favorite part! I suppose next time we will check the food before we leave... If we come back at all. Fail. read more

The original crust pizza I have no complaint. As for the triple play pepperoni crust is a hand made crust- it's hard on the teeth, sand textured and chewy all at the same time. Our pizza had areas that had bubbled up and no cheese or toppings on that slice or area. Tonight I tried a dessert they sold- it's an Otis spunkmeyer cookie they cook there fresh, then top it with your choice of one of three gelato ice creams topped with chocolate & caramel sauce, whip cream & a cherry. Sounds delicious right?!? Especially if you have ever had the privilege of having a BJ's pizookie you would be so excited to have something like that at your local roundtable...we'll keep you $5.91 people- the Roundtable version is pure disappointment. The cookie is not cooked to order- they take it out of the plastic display case, slop the stuff on top and hand you a spoon- no melted gooey delicious center, no rush on eating the ice cream fast because it's not gonna melt since the cookie is not hot or warm at all. I think they may have tried to warm it as the cookie was hard around the edges but yet my mound of ice cream on top didn't melt. I told them how bad it was and they just kinda oh ok my concerns- oh well. Lesson learned won't waste my money there.
