Today it happened. Something really weird or supernatural has to occur or I usally don't even mention it. And like Johnny Cash, I've been everywhere man. As I stood there grinding my teeth, sorry that I was ever born, the casheer with cute Princess Leia looking mini buns (Rebecca) made eye contact and smiled real big with EVERYONE in line, big or small, one at a time starting from her end and working her way to my end and everyone in between while waiting to be paid. She was so happy that she would even seem to dance in place a little while spreading her own brand of sarotonin. Turns out smiles are contagious and I forgot, just for a split second, how much it sucks to wait on line, packed like sardines in oil. And that ain't even the first time something really nice happened here: Last time I was here, manager Joseph Reeves hosted us and personally saw to it that my family and friends had perhaps the best birthday party ever. No lie. Everyone still talks about it. Thank you for the memories. We made the mistake of not checking the pizza before we drove home with it. What we received was a simple veggie pizza. I have a kid and know I can count on a Round Table to be decent quality food he will like while we are out and about, so I've been to quite a few of them in the last few years. This one is rather dark, little worn, but the staff is the best of any I've been to and I like that the soda machine is serve yourself - a lot of Round Tables charge you by the glass. This is also the first one that offers crayons and a coloring page as well as a a simple "decorate a foam penguin ornament with stickers" craft. Both were heaven sent as we stopped here on a 5 hour detour due to snow on I-5. Other than that it is standard Round Table fare. It is the smallest one I've been in, and has a gas fireplace in the middle of the room. It also has a a decent TV with sports playing on it. read more

Not worth it! Pizza is really cheap tasting, terrible customer service including the mangers! Spent $30 and regret it. I requested a refund on my chicken wings because the were raw, the manger guy came out and OK'd it but told me he would have to recharge my debit card and deduct the full amount in order to issue a refund. He told me in a 5 business days I'd receive my refund. A week went buy and I had still not seen it. Came back in and spoke again with the manger, he apologized and offered a free soda. I wouldn't accept a $2.50 soda as a peace offering for the $20 I was owed and told him I wanted a full cash refund. He would not issue it and told me "that's how it is deal with it". After a day without power at our vacation rental, I took the family (five of us) out to find someplace warm and informal to have a hot meal. We stopped at the Round Table on Central Ave. in McKinleyville and I am so glad we did!!! The owner of the franchise was a delightful young man who, despite having a full house and plenty of distractions to deal with, took the time to ensure we got everything we needed for a relaxing meal. The pizzas were perfect, the house wine was marvelous (cabernet), and the environment was clean and very family friendly. Thanks, guys, and kudos on a job well done. Just ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a baked chicken sandwich online. the pizza looks just fine but the sandwich had only bacon and chicken and nothing else on it. It should have had cheese lettuce tomato onion etc. I was also supposed to receive 25 percent of my order if I placed it online.they were getting ready to closed so called me on the phone to make sure I got there within 10 minutes to pick up the order but didn't bother to confirm what I had ordered.I talked with a girl named Amanda several times on the phone and basically was told there was nothing she could do about it and I would have to speak to the manager. also when I talk to her on the phone when she called me she told me that she would take the 25 percent off of the order when we got there because it didn't do it online. I sent my son with money to pick it up and she didn't even bother to tell him that she couldn't take the 25 percent off and just over charged anyway. we will see if they make this right I highly doubt they will from the way she sounded on the phone tonight. she said there's probably nothing we can do anyway. now I know why I go to Papa Murphy's. read more
