Pretty mid pizza and service is just aight. We called and ordered in advance since it was 815 and they were closing at 9. When we arrived around 845 we were still waiting for the pizzas to be ready. We ordered a pesto tomato pizza, which we were really excited for, but it ended up being just right. We also ordered one of the combo meat lover pizzas, which was also just all right nothing too special about the pizzas here pretty thick crust so be prepared to be in a food coma! We pulled into Bigfoot country at about 8:15 PM on a Saturday. We were staying at the motel across the street and hadn't eaten since about 1 in the afternoon, so myself, my Celiac partner, and my kids were pretty hungry. An app for gluten-free people said that the Pizza Factory did a decent job of keeping things safe for gluten allergic people, although to be honest, we had the grocery store down the street as our more-than-likely backup plan to get food for her. When we went in, it was dimly lit, but very spacious, and had a lot of cool local items on the wall that spoke to the hunting and fishing aspect of the region. We approached the counter and explained the allergy my partner had. The young man was incredible. He said that he couldn't guarantee a completely gluten-free kitchen, as it was a pizzeria (he gestured about at this, to emphasize, but it was very appropriate and actually rather amusing). He did say, however, that instead of himself and the other kitchen worker preparing the pizza, the employee who was doing prep and clean-up would prep the pizza in an area off to the side and handle all the pizza prep. After we ordered, he called out to everyone to ensure that both the people working in the back knew we had a gluten allergy pizza coming. That was very reassuring and gave my partner a chance to really enjoy her food without anxiety. As to the food itself, it was very good. The pizza was doughy with plenty of cheese and toppings on it. My boys ate quite a bit (with the rest finished off early the next morning). We got an order of breadsticks, which I was not too impressed with because they didn't have much flavor to it, and the sauce cup was the same pizza sauce, but it wasn't bad and it was exactly what I ordered. I would have just preferred a heavier garlicy type taste to them. That being said, that's my preference rather than a failing on behalf of the restaurant. My partner loved her chicken, sun dried tomato, and artichoke pizza, and ate, in her word, "way more than [she] should have, but damn!" The guy also threw in a the sodas for us, because we had driven all day and it was near closing. Great experience, great food, and no safety issues at all. We have now eaten here twice on 2 different occasions. In both instances the pizza was great and in both instances we only ordered pizza and drinks. I eat pizza quite often and I have been to several places that cannot make pizza, this is not one of them. The pizza was just as great at this location but the place has a lot of work to do as far as cleanliness goes. Upon walking in I was pleased at how cold the room was, good AC during summer months there's plenty of tables, good for groups both big and small. The salad bar looked really unappetizing being surrounded by trash, crumbs and the food all over the floor throughout the restaurant.The bathrooms are a just no, worse than a gas station bathroom. My family members all work hard for everything thing in their lifes and it is disappointing that management has made insulting and racist remarks about my family via social media. Its very unfortunate to see management treat their employees with a bully kinda of attitude, it is very sad to see, its unfortunate that they treat they're employees so wrong, it makes me think and wonder how they would treat a customer. We bought a total of 5 extra large pizzas over the weekend. It was nice to have this easy option after playing in the Trinity River or while camping at Camp Kimtu. I used to love eating the salad bar here but no more since they started rationing and even charging for ranch dressing. False advertising because if you have to pay extra for dressing it's not really all you can eat salad and even if they are willing to give you more it takes 40 minutes to get someone's attention as get it. A very mediocre experience. My husband and I waited for probably 6-7 minutes at the register waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Everything took precedence over us including an off-duty employee (I assume, since he was behind the counter talking to the other employees) wearing a shirt with the F-word spelled out. The pizza factory manager is a complete @$$ left me on hold for 10 mins and when I went in there is no one in the lobby. This was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. My husband and I were passing through and got dinner...pizza and salads. First off we ordered salads and were charged an additional $1.50 each for ranch dressing. Mind you this is for our salads not our pizza. The pizza was awful! I was really excited to go get some pizza after visiting the river all day and decided to go here. The most important and pervasive issue during my visit was the service, it was terrible. I was barely acknowledged and at the register there was only a lackluster confirmation of our order. We were told our order will be 30 minutes, which I would have liked to know before we paid. We sat outside and were quickly swarmed by flies. The chairs outside were strewn everywhere and the tables still had plates and old food on them. It looked like the tables and chairs were never wiped down, there was food, napkins, and red pepper packets littered about, probably attracting the flies. After waiting about 30 minutes and being fed up with constantly having to shoo flies off of our bodies and drinks, we moved inside. The restaurant was dark, the bathrooms were not stocked or clean, and the salad bar looked stale, some containers had sloppy saran wrap covering them. We continued to wait longer and finally asked where our food was. I stayed behind while my boyfriend went to the car and when our food finally arrived (1 medium cheese pizza which took 1.5 hours), instead of apologizing for the long wait, the employee tried to hit on me. The pizza itself tasted okay, slightly better than if we had made some frozen pizza at home. I personally work in food service and understand that when things get busy, orders can take a while, but what I saw in the kitchen were employees messing around and not picking up their speed. I was hesitant to write this review because I understand that some days at work can get out of hand, especially if the kitchen is understaffed, but my partner and I both got very sick the morning after eating the pizza. If visiting Willow Creek, I would recommend going somewhere else to eat, packing your own food, or visiting the grocery store instead. read more
