I am so impressed and satisfied with Tandoori Bites Indian Cuisine! My boyfriend and I came here to eat as we were visiting Eureka, and were very satisfied. The ambience is beautiful, and the servers are so attentive and respectful. I think I need to make another trip out to Eureka this year to come back!

One the best Indian restaurants I have been to.. have been to many all over the state, but this one definitely beats the rest. My husband ordered tandoori chicken and he said it was tasty and moist. Not dry like other restaurants. I had kadai panneer and it was perfect as was the parata and raitha

I had the lovely Bhindi Masala. Very tasty!

I recently had lunch at Tandoori, ordering off the menu. The food quality was good and the prices were very solid. The service was nice and friendly, and given that this was in Eureka, which is not a big city, I was pleased with the taste and ambiance of Tandoori Bites. Although I am from a different part of California, I will definitely not hesitate to return to Tandoori Bites Indian Cuisine in the future on my next visit!

It is so unfortunate to share that this was my first experience here for a to-go order, as I've heard great things about this place. The portions of meat are at least three small and thin pieces of meat per portion, and the rice was measured to three small tablespoons. Vegetables were soggy and tasted old/wilted. Considering the price to portion of the combination plate, it should have cost less. The only I hope I had was for the cheese naan and vegetable samosa.

Limited menu after 9:30pm. Staff didn't know what was vegan and told me nothing was.

Wow, I was thoroughly disappointed in every way by this place. Maybe it's a better experience earlier in the day. Don't come after 9:30pm, especially if you're vegan. We walked in last night, and a guy said, "The menu is on the screen," pointing to a TV, and walked away. No one offered to seat us or anything. We had to decide what we wanted, then walk up to the counter to order and pay. Nothing I saw online anywhere said that the menu is drastically reduced after 9:30pm. Very limited options. Many had a "V" next to them, but when I asked if the V meant vegan or vegetarian, they stumbled over it, and the first person I spoke to said, "Everything has dairy." I knew from the reviews that the chana masala was vegan, but he had no knowledge of anything. When we went to the counter to order, I asked the guy at the counter what on the menu was vegan, and he didn't know what vegan was. He asked if we wanted it to eat there or to go, we said eat there. Then they didn't seat us, so we asked if it was okay to sit anywhere and they said yes. We sat ourselves at a table. They brought the food to us served in styrofoam to-go containers with plastic utensils. They did not offer us anything to drink at any point. We eventually asked for water. They never once came to refill it. The food was lousy. Every Indian restaurant I've ever been to asks how you want your food spiced. They didn't. The Chana masala was okay. My partner had the Thali Plate, and ordered lamb masala and chicken masala, but got two servings of chicken masala. Not only did he say that it was the most bland Indian food he had ever eaten, but he found TWO HAIRS in his food. Terrible experience from beginning to end. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Enjoyed a nice dinner here, though it began a bit confusingly. Waiter brought menus, then left us sitting for a while. We noticed people lining up at the counter, so we thought perhaps we're supposed to get up and order there. But, no, turned out those were all people ordering takeout. Busy place, must be good! I shared a Baingan Bharta and Bhindi Masala (both ordered spicy, but spice level equated more to medium IMO), along with Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naan (plus they came with Basmati Rice). Everything was quite tasty. I thought the serving sizes were a bit on the small side, but it isn't like we walked away hungry so that's probably a good thing. Service was good (I described it best in my original review: 'subdued'). It took a bit of time (less than 15 minutes) to get our order, but considering how busy they were, that seems fair. Very good experience.

Visiting Eureka for a few days and tried this Indian restaurant. We are from Sacramento and have a ton of excellent Indian restaurants to compare them to. Service is bad. The waiters hate their jobs and don't even smile. They don't bring you water until you order. The restaurant is dark and dim. Needs more lighting in the place. The food is terrible. Worst Indian food I've ever had. We tried the following: Assorted appetizers-decent but the sauces made it better. Butter chicken-skip this dish. Water down flavors and bland. Chicken tikka masala- got it spicy and it was ok. But like the butter chicken, the flavor was not there and watered down. Garlic naan-did not even have enough garlic and had no cilantro like the menu mentioned. Would skip this also. Rice came with the entrees and it was honestly the best item we had besides the chutney and tamarind sauce. Not sure why everyone gave this place such high ratings but I would skip this place if you know what good Indian food is. This place was disappointing.

The place was pretty busy at 8pm and we sat outside since we had our pup with us. I ordered 3 oysters as an app. I had just read that Humboldt Bay provided a large percentage of the oysters consumed in CA and NV so figured I should order some since we're so close to the source! I was surprised when I slurped it down and it was warm but they were delicious and the sauce on top was very flavorful. (That was my fault for not reading the description well enough; I'm just accustomed to eating oysters chilled) For entree's, I went with the Polenta Veghie lasagna and my husband ordered the Italian Mac n cheese. Both dishes were very good and very filling. I loved the crust of the polenta and the eggplant and cheese filling was delicious. We ordered the Chinese Style Lamb Stew, Cheese Corn, Kung Pao Vegetables, and it came with a side of banchan. Every single dish here was absolutely delicious and piping hot! Cheese corn was sweet and honestly a good pairing with the very soury/ pickled soup. The kung pao vegetables would have definitely fooled me if I wasn't told it was mushroom. The batter holds on the oyster mushrooms just like chicken does. Well seasoned. Service was very impressive - there was a single waitress serving lots of tables. Delicious Homemade Mexican Food--The Perfect Post-Hike Meal!…read more We came here for dinner after a long day of hiking in the redwoods and were so glad we did, as the food was incredibly tasty and satisfying. Oaxaca Grill is a wonderful, family-run restaurant in downtown Eureka, operated by the parents, Carmen and Tony, and their daughter, Yuri. Carmen is the main chef, and you can truly taste the care she puts into making amazing homemade Mexican food. The ambiance is casual and cozy. We were traveling as two families and easily found tables on a Tuesday evening for an early dinner. The main dishes completely hit the spot: * Garlicky Soft Prawn Tacos: My wife ordered these, which were served with sautéed onions, fresh garlic, and the most amazing, flavorful mango salsa on the side. * Spicy Oaxaca Chicken Mole: I got this special dish, which featured a tender chicken breast topped with authentic, spicy Oaxacan mole. This mole is savory, rich, and incredibly flavorful, made from thirty imported Oaxacan ingredients. It came served with yummy rice and beans. * Prawn Soft Tacos: We also ordered these, and they were fantastic, paired with a crisp jicama coleslaw. * Kids' Dishes: Our children ordered from the children's plate options. My son got the chicken enchiladas, which came with fries and beans, and he absolutely loved it. My daughter had the cheese and bean burrito, which she really enjoyed as well. * Desserts: To wrap up the meal, we tried the coconut flan and the crème brûlée. Both were a sweet end to the night, and the crème brûlée in particular was absolutely amazing. Overall, it was a fantastic, comforting dining experience with wonderful hospitality. The first hiccup, was the restaurant is less than 10 minutes from our place, yet from the time I ordered to the time the food came, it was just under an hour. Plus, it was after lunchtime on a Saturday, which should've meant that the place should have been less busy That's a long wait for a short distance. The food itself was pretty good. My first order was the cod, fritters. The flavor was good. I could definitely taste the cod. What I didn't care for, was the texture. They were pretty gummy. I don't know if that's how they are supposed to be or not, but I was not a fan of the texture. They did come with a red sauce for dipping, but it was a bit too spicy for me. On the other end of the spectrum, however, was the curried goat, which I loved. I called ahead to ask if it was spicy, and they said, not really. And they were right. It wasn't really that spicy. It was a mellow spice that made my forehead sweat just a little bit, but well within what I like for spicy. The flavor itself was fantastic. The goat was bone in, but it was so tender. It was literally falling off the bone. Goat can be gamey, but this wasn't. It had a nice mellow flavor. There was also a gravy, which had a deep, rich flavor, and the rice had a good texture and a nice flavor also. It didn't taste like plain white rice. Overall, even with the delivery cost, the price was very reasonable. I would definitely order from here again, but the next time I would go into the restaurant instead of doing delivery. Also, while I liked the flavor of the cod, fritters, next time I would order something else. Thank you so much for an overall good meal.

We just waited outside for a little bit, trying to research another place to grab lunch. About five minutes later, one of the workers invited us inside. I decided to get the sampler platter. It came with plantains, jerk chicken, cod fritters, and vegetables. The sauce that it came with was so unbearably spicy, so I'd definitely recommend avoiding this if you can't handle spice. The food was something different than what I'm used to, but I really enjoyed the plantains! Service was on the slower side, and they forgot one of our dishes, which ended up being fine.
