The only critique I have is I would have liked a Demi glacé or a sauce with it and the vegetables could have been more fresh. But that dosent take away from my 5 star rating. First of all, GORGEOUS view! We arrived as soon as they opened and we were seated right away. We started off with the crab cakes, which were delicious along with a small cup of chowder. The chowder was creamy and flavorful. We thought about eating dinner, although we skipped right to dessert. I did see the entrees come out and the portion sizes are big. It looked like we definitely would have shared a plate. We decided on the brownie with vanilla ice cream and a side of cookies and cream. The vanilla ice cream is homemade and was delicious, not too sweet, perfect with the homemade brownie. The brownie had more bread consistency and not overly sweet. Cookies and cream ice cream was good. Overall, we had a great meal along with a great view. Our server Sharlee was very sweet! I definitely recommend. Beautiful views, large and accommodating restaurant with a pretty large menu and even larger portions. I was shocked by the amount of food on my plate and it was also delicious. We had a lovely waitress who was attentive and checked in. This would be a great place for a larger group given the amount of space. read more

Hard no. I might go for cocktails but never food again! Still a 3. Waited for an iced tea and glass of wine 25 minutes. William is delightful but the restaurant is understaffed...again. Got drinks and cup of mediocre clam chowder. Tastes like a bland cream of celery soup. No carrots and few clams to be found. I had the 1/2 order of seafood pasta. It's huge but not very Good. It's an Alfredo sauce with garlic, a ton of garlic, too much garlic. Dried Fettuccine, not fresh. 3 shrimp. Maybe a tablespoon of crab (no claw, just shreds) and tons of bay scallops. The parmisean tuile was made ahead so it was cold and chewy. Just don't bother if youre going to do it like that. Partner had ribeye. Cooked right, tasty. He said 7 out of 10. Great menu! Beautiful view! Bread needs updating because it's not like it used to be!

We are from Illinois, staying in Trinidad for two nights while visiting the parks. We went out at 8 pm on a Sunday, everything in town was closed besides this place. I was skeptical of eating at a casino. Pulling up at night, I was reminded of the tv show Twin Peaks. This restaurant in the back of the casino was awesome. My wife and I sat next to the fireplace and enjoyed the New York strip and snapper. Great service, very nice experience all around. The plates were huge, I'm glad I didn't order everything I wanted. The restaurant has wonderful ambience, and an excellent view. The service was top-notch! However, I can only give a three star rating because of the food. While the prices are really good, the pan seared snapper was over seasoned, advertise to be served with a wild rice, but was it actually a rice pilaf, and the green beans were mediocre at best. The T-bone steak was good. The calamari was very basic. However, given that the prices were more than fair the portions large the view is impeccable, I would absolutely come again, but with lower expectations. read more

Such a great place to choose for special nights. The food is great and the views are stunning. The service was prompt and courteous. We started with the beet salad, we got the full and split it. It was plenty big to share and bring some home. The flavor of the tangy balsamic with the sweet pecans and salty feta was fantastic. I got the pork loin, my wife the salmon. These servings were generous too and the flavor of each was just what each of us were looking for. The cheesy polenta with pork was amazing. I'm excited to have enough for lunch too. If you like a casino, enjoy your time there. If not, don't skip this place. This place has a side door and the restaurant ambiance includes a fireplace and a wall of windows. Nice wait staff. The ribeye was ordered medium rare and came out closer to well done and was a cheap thin cut of meat. They never offered to exchange it and only took 25% off even though there was only one bite. The side were small and bland. The view was great. However, it should give you pause when a review of a restaurant starts with mentioned the view and not the food. The service was really slow. We sat down probably 10 minutes before another table was seated and they had their meals even before our appetizers. We ordered Crab cakes and Bruschetta for our appetizers.. Awful! The crab cakes were burnt and it was more like bread cakes with a sprinkle of crab mixed in, so bad. The Bruschetta was just as bad.. huge thick slice of stale bread, with melted cheese (out of a bag) and a few tomatoes and a basil leaf on top. The appetizers were really slow to the table and then they served the main course directly after the appetizers, which we were still trying to eat. I had grilled salmon, with risotto and grilled asparagus. The Salmon was fine but the risotto and asparagus were terribly under salted, so I had to add some at the table. My wife had the cioppino, which was really some white wine with chicken broth as a base and a TON of garlic. Now don't get me wrong, I love garlic but when it over powers a dish something is wrong. The clams and shrimp were chewy. My wife asked if I wanted another bite which I said I did not. I'm not sure who manages the quality of the food going out but someone should be ashamed as well as the chef. If you're looking for great quality of food, this is not the place. The one star is for the salmon which was grilled well... If great food is what you're after, this is not your place.. Accidental find!! Come hungry and ready to eat. Clam chowder, I don't know if you could find it better in Boston! Great coconut shrimp. But the steak was perfect. Seasoned correctly, cooked a perfect medium rare with a lite char, damn good eating. Service with a smile. Waiter did a great job, bartender made the perfect Manhattan the way I like it. Inedible food, got the weekday special fish and steak tacos and couldn't even eat them the tortillas were stale and old, the steak was chewy, there was nothing else to them. Was recently out at the casino for a function, and was looking for some food so I opted to sit at the bar in the restaurant and grab a burger and a beer. The bar in the restaurant is a full bar, with four taps of local breweries and only a couple bottle options, same for the wine a limited selection. Mixed well drinks and call alcohol seem to be the drivers for this bar. The bartender was friendly and professional, she also made sure to check on me regularly as well as everyone else sitting at the bar. The food is where it went downhill. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, it could have been great but the burger was seriously pressed and over cooked, and as such very dry, as well the bacon way over cooked. Even adding ketchup and mustard didn't help the burger, and at $16 bucks disappointing. The french fries were good, plentiful and the only saving grace of the meal. Average food that is expensive for what you get, over $20 bucks for a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a draft beer, $25 with a tip. Yes, stunning views. Great ambiance. Friendly waiter. BUT--THREE shrimp come standard in the FULL portion of Seafood Fettuccine...huh?! $28 isn't bad, but THREE?!! (I guess there are 2 in the 1/2 portion...). I complained to the waiter & he said he "fought" the chef to get me more shrimp...2. Seriously?! Did I offend the chef's pride? Can a CASINO restaurant not "afford" 5 shrimp? The clam chowder bowl portion was very generous, but tasted too fishy (yes, we know it has clams in it). We were so glad the sunset was gorgeous, it redeemed the meal a little. Unfortunately, from the last time we were here, the food has gone downhill a bit. read more

How wonderful-- a restaurant where you can eat inside, with tons of space! Our meal was expertly prepared and plated. Truly beautiful. The salmon was perhaps the best I have ever had-- so good I even decided to eat the skin, which I never do. My husband loved his steak. The passion fruit chocolate mousse was delectable and sophisticated. The decor is modern and understated with a huge fireplace, and beautiful art made by local people. Service was excellent. It was also interesting to see the artifacts made by members of the tribe who own the casino. It was a great experience all the way around. We're not gamblers but we'd go back to this casino simply for the restaurant for sure, and next time we'll make it for sunset! read more

My husband and I went to get appetizers and dessert. They seemed to be short staffed and we waited several minutes to be seated even though it was mostly empty. There was no dessert menu and the woman who sat us thought they had brownie à la mode and maybe pineapple upside down cake. We ordered the chicken skewers which were fatty and really soft. I ate one bite. The tempura artichokes were decent but the aioli didn't not pair well with them. We didn't bother trying the brownie. The service wasn't bad. Went there for Easter dinner. Had a reservation. Restaurant was semi-full and only one waiter working. Waited 20 minutes for one drink. Food came out in a timely manner but was nothing spectacular. Never got a second round of drinks even though we were there for an hour and a half. Service was terrible. Limited menu with limited options and nothing spectacular was on the menu considering it was Easter! Ambiance was terrible. And most people had uncomfortable stomachs the next day from the food. The fact that this restaurant is attached/adjacent to a casino gave me pause, however I needn't have been concerned. The atmosphere and views were wonderful, and the service was fantastic! Most importantly though, the food was beyond excellent! We sampled the steamed mussels; the clam chowder; the roasted beet salad; and the King Salmon with risotto. The presentation of each dish was lovely, and at the right temperature, which was amazing. The food here was not cooked to its fullest potential. I ordered raw oysters and they were filled with sand/dirt, the oysters were not cleaned nor prepped well (See photo below). I also got the coconut prawns, it was over cooked. All I could taste was fried bits and pieces of the coconut flakes. The lobster plate was by far the worst lobster I've had, it was tough and bland. The steak it came with was cooked great, but it could have used more seasoning. The shrimp/scallop pasta was buttery & bland. I would not recommend. However, the waitress was very nice and took the 2 appetizers off our bill since it was such a disappointment. Overall: the service was great! The food was bad. read more

We went here a couple years back and they have definitely redeemed themselves, and I'm guessing it's because of the new chef. The steaks are amazing and great sized for the price. The sampler appetizer is the best if you like coconut shrimp and crab cakes. The clam chowder is a bit watery but there's nice chunks of clam in it. The waitstaff is also friendly and service is fast... the view is one-of-a-kind as well, overlooking the ocean. Overall the food is just as good as many of the other fine dining restaurants for half the price, and without jeopardizing the quality! Will come back again. Update 2/25/19: Came here again for my birthday. We had the crab taquitos for the app., and unfortunately the filling and sauce tasted of warm mayo and too much lemon. What a shame because the crab was fresh. However, the ribeye was huge and cooked perfectly. The veggies had that nice, slight crisp and the baked potato was delicious. I went here for steak night with a handful of friends. The first thing I noticed was the dining area was empty except for two other people. An empty restaurant is definitely a bad sign, but it is a Thursday night. I have never eaten here before and did not have high expectations. I figure the restaurant draws people in for the view which we showed up too late to see. We ordered, 3 rib eyes, one New York steak, salmon, and an asparagus dish. My rib eye was not properly seasoned but it was cooked to medium rare like I requested. The side consisted of flavorless chopped green beans and french fries that were previously frozen. Overall the consensus of the table was the food was bland and lacked any creativity. Eating here felt like I was eating diner food for twice the price. The ambiance was also odd, there seemed to be too much open space, and the lack of art and music dulled the whole restaurant. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We had a small family dinner last night and none was pleased with their meal. The bread at the start was so very dry and didn't even taste good. I am not a steak or fish eater and all the chicken options were diced chicken over pasta. How about some sort of roast chicken! Service was not good, long waits between visits. My burger looked like a barbell with the two big ends sticking out and the thin bar in the middle. I had to cut it up and puzzle it together into the bun. Beer selection was poor and then inventory was depleted on a beer at 6:30 PM on Friday!! Take stock and order inventory. The one star is for the view and my drink, which was quite tasty. The reviews seem to be hit or miss so at best they are inconsistent. One more thing: we always check website menus prior to arriving and yours does not match your current menu. Spent Thanksgiving at the Sunset Restaurant alone at the last minute and was Very Happy I did! The options were simple but Home Feeling Comfort. I ordered the Prime Rib dinner with dessert. I was more than pleased with the quality of the food and service. The vibe was warm and festive, the views are amazing at this spot. I can't express how much it meant to me to spend the holiday having a meal feeling welcome and comfortable since I couldn't be with my friends due to weather travel conditions. Amy the Manager was so helpful and attentive, I didn't even remember I was by myself. Thank you staff and Heights Management for being a Great Location and Environment to grab a bite to eat.
