You can ride right from the house, practice your riding in our 220' x 180' arena or one of the two large round pens. We have been here for 20 years, have many references, treat your horse like our own and have friendly boarders. We have very good vets, shoers, and teachers but you are welcome to use your own. Everyone we met at Don Donnelly were friendly and accommodating as I needed a mounting block and a little support to get on the horse. Shelly was very sweet and the place felt relaxed and fun (instead of the unfriendly people at the other place). My grandson and I were supposed to have to wait an hour for our ride but when we got there she'd arranged for a wrangler to take us right away. Our wrangler, Lexi, was so friendly and nice and very accommodating. We had one of the most beautiful rides we've ever been on with nice, well trained horses. When we got back, Lexi said that it's often harder for us grandmas with hip problems to get off the horse than on and assured me that I'd have help. I got off the horse with help and even had a man pleasantly and kindly help me down the steps. As bad as our experience at the other place was, this place was 1000 times better, not just because they had mounting blocks to help get on the horse, but because they understood that this is supposed to be a pleasant experience. Our tour guides name was Jeremie, And he had it stocked with water and snacks just in case we needed it. It was air-conditioned, which was great. We went to Page Springs, Oak Creek and DA Ranch wineries. All the wineries had food available, which was nice and we also have pre-ordered lunch to eat at Oak Creek winery and it was delicious. Jeremie was great and he sensed our groups vibe and picked appropriate wineries for us to travel to depending on the day went. He was very knowledgeable about wine and also was a fantastic photographer and took great pictures of us. If you ever want to go on a wine tour, this one is it and you definitely have to request him because he will check in with you before the day and then checked in the day after to say that he hopes we had a great time! Wrangler(Jason?) was interesting, polite and since I was the only one on each of the rides we covered a lot of territory. Room was clean and decor was authentic western. Stables and tack room where neat and lodge,dinning rooms where clean. Good signage when you get off the main road to find the office. Fun activities such as Archery, target and skeet shooting, swimming,games , cattle and cards. No TV which is refreshing. This way you get to really talk to guest and staff or not. Cool town of Wickenburg 10 minutes away. Happy hour everyday at the ranch before dinner with nice cheeses and food. Come here for the riding cuz it's some of the best especially after a good rain.

This place was perfect. Our reservation came with one activity per day. We went shooting clay pigeons the first afternoon and then horseback riding the next day. The ride was 2 hours long and our guide Ky was very friendly and informative. Our reservation also came with breakfast each day. The food was excellent. There is a pool and hot tub also. We used the hot tub after a long day of riding and golfing. It was wonderful. Would stay here again for sure.
