    Shrimp and Cougar Gold Linguiine.

The sign out front that says "please wait to be seated" will have you waiting for an eternity. We waited about 5 minutes, then went up to the bar to ask for a table. The bartender gave us menus and said to sit anywhere we like. We chose a table on the patio. Table service was quick from that point on (thank you Ashley). I had the shrimp and cougar gold linguine. It was good, but had waaay to much sauce on it. The cheese was the dominant flavor. There were maybe 5 shrimp on the whole dish, and useless toast points perched on the edge of the dish. Drink service was so-so. Ashley is apparently too young to drink, so could only tell us what her mom thought of the wines. Charming. But her mom was right. The Calloway Chardonnay was a little on the dry side, but good with the aforementioned linguine. My husband had the classic cheeseburger with waffle fries. He liked it.

So we went there last night for their special Valentines dinner and here was our experiences. We were seated and greeted right away. It was a 4 course meal all of which came out with perfect precision and the taste/flavors were out of this world. I have not been this impressed with a meal in who knows how long. The only thing I was iffy on was the smores desert as the chocolate was a little strange but the other deserts were heaven. The meat was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was awsome, very polite and very attentive. I will be back without a doubt.

My son and I stopped in on a quiet Saturday afternoon (this place will be crazy on Saturday's during football season) and were greeted immediately with an option of sitting inside or outside. We chose the patio with beautiful late Spring Weather. They offer a full bar and a great variety of beer on tap. We ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich with spicy coleslaw (my son's favorite) and a Smash Burger. Food came fairly quickly, piping hot, loaded with quality ingredients, and every bite was great. We ended up splitting these so we can enjoy both items, and I so glad we did. Each of the items we ordered, were honestly some of the best tasting bar food I've ever had. As I recall, prices were fairly reasonable, but given the quality of the food, the value of the meals are incredible. This will be a regular stop whenever I'm in Pullman.

My favorite salad and chicken tenders never disappoint either. Before coming here, I actually drove around the area for quite a while trying to find somewhere to enjoy dinner, but after looking at several places, I still ended up choosing The Land because I knew it would not disappoint me. And of course, the cocktails were excellent too. I had a really difficult day that day, but after a good meal here, my mood became so much better. I left feeling relaxed, recharged, and happy again. Also, thank you to the lovely girl who welcomed us so warmly. I'm sorry I didn't fully remember your name, but I hope to see you again soon. And as always, I highly recommend Andrew's cocktails. You can truly tell he takes cocktail making seriously. The flavors are balanced beautifully -- the fresh mint aroma was perfectly infused into the drink, the alcohol taste was incredibly smooth, and the strength was just right for that relaxed, slightly tipsy feeling.

Lots of bacon lardons to give more depth to the pasta. Very tasty. The lamb is delicious, though the crust was a little salty for my taste. Ask for it to be medium rare + so you get the nice cool red. There are 6 lambchops served with a couscous salad and tzakiti. If you like lamb, get this. The roasted chicken is amazing. So so so good. Perfectly done with a side of kale and nice size croutons, crunchy and buttery. Ordered the dip appetizer and the pita is soft as a vessel to try 3 different dips - one is garlicky with breadcrumbs (it's more addicting than you think), feta with a roasted pepper and tzakiti. All tasty! Didn't leave room for dessert. Next time!

My favorite item on their appetizer menu is the cheese plate. I don't like crackers so I've started ordering it with some extra apple slices instead of the crackers. The goat cheese panna cotta itself is delicious but the best part is that the seasonal sides are amazing and change very frequently. It's a positive example of a dish never being exactly the same. I've always had great service at the bar. The only complaint I've heard was from a grad student we know who ordered multiple items and didn't realize they forgot his entree until everyone at the table was almost done eating. Thankfully the group had plenty to talk about so they didn't mind it being a long dinner. Finally... the drinks. The only regret I've had was ordering a beer when they have such a fantastic cocktail menu. I am a fan of their non alcoholic cocktails currently but I do enjoy occasionally ordering from the main menu.

The rest of the food took about 35-40 minutes to come out when there was literally no one there. Also, the food we ordered was simple to get out in a fairly timely manner (Club sandwich, bruschetta, Mac and cheese, and Caesar salad). The menu is weirdly specific in some instances and not specific at all in others. Ex: wings come in mild, buffalo, and spicy, but one would assume the buffalo is a sauce but the mild was a dry rub (would be nice to know but not stated). Ex: Caesar is $14 and you can add "grilled" chicken, shrimp, or salmon for an extra $5 (in the case of chicken). My "grilled" chicken came out in cold chunks that looked like they had been rebought and kept cold then just dumped in the salad. When u order an entree salad and they say "grilled" chicken one would assume it's been freshly grilled for dinner, not just a salad that I could get in the deli aisle at a supermarket. Just an overall weird dinner for the price we paid. Service was friendly enough but sparse. Food tasted decent enough but when going out to eat I'd like to pay for more attention to the food than what I could put together with what I bought on my Costco run. Maple Manhattan was a solid drink though. Overall, not a 1 bc the taste was ok, but the rest was super underwhelming for what else is available in Pullman. Probably won't be back.

The apple dessert was equally delicious and gave off Xmas / Holiday vibes.
