We ordered a couple of drinks, an order of large chicken laraage and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. My family and I are currently in our bowling era right now so I decided to check out round1 at Meadowood Mall for my birthday. Overall, it was a fun experience. But with a few things worth noting. First, the bowling area only has a few lanes. But honestly, that ended up being something I liked. It felt more low key and less crowded than the big blowing alleys. The ball returned was super fast (love that for me) The couches were roomy and comfortable...perfect for hanging out between frames. The downside? You do have to walk through the arcade to get to the bowling section, which isn't my favorite set up. It's also really noisy inside, so if you're looking for a calm bowling vibe, this might not be the place. Still for a quick bowling session, it checked all the boxes. read more

The arcade is quite large with a good variety of games with probably the best assortment of DDR and crane machine games in Reno, you just can't beat a 99 cent ice cream cone that gets you in the door, and the bathrooms are the best in the mall. I love this place! One of the most fun ways to get anime and anime related things and figures! "Most" of the machines are winnable, others absolutely have that classic play-certain-amount-of-times-before-prize-is-possible going on, but the majority are pretty skill based! The staff is pretty cool most of the time, especially when you're winning a lot and have to keep coming up to grab them for your prize. I haven't seen him in a while but the best person I've had the enjoyment of talking with is the Dimitri guy, very brightly colored and bubbly/friendly. The atmosphere is almost always friendly, they have a gender neutral/family bathroom as well. They serve the usual food and snacks but with an alcohol bar to boot. Overpriced claw machine factory with silly policies. I brought my 18 year old son here with his uncles as this is one of the only under 21 locations that offers pool tables in Reno late night. Because we arrived just after 12:30am, we weren't able to access a pool table, despite the business remaining open through 2am. The employee said "due to us needing time to clean up, we can't offer tables or lanes after a certain time." We definitely wouldn't have spent $35 on an uber to get here if we'd known the advertised games weren't available after a certain time. Big letdown. Will likely avoid this location in the future. read more

They asked me how many games and I just casually said "i don't know, maybe 2"... we finished the games in 18 minutes as we were pretty much going turbo speed and just having fun and laughing. Nobody else was there so we were cruising. I then saw a flier that said "60 minutes for 30$" ... which WAS CHEAPER THAN THE 18 MIN, TWO GAMES I HAD PAID FOR. Had I known that, of course I would have chosen that option , but when I brought it up to the front desk and asked if I could switch to the hour they said no, and wouldn't even give me 1 free game. I spoke to 2 different managers and they were super rude. This place is a total and complete joke! If you're going to bowl, go somewhere legit where you don't get screwed around like GSR. This review is for the Round 1 birthday parties. The staff is not super helpful and once they deliver your food and drinks, they do not check up on you. I had to wait for everything.. extra plates, exra napkins.. also if you order extra pizza, that also takes some time and it's extra regardless if you get the extra game cards that come with the pizza. One of their staff Matt helped obtain extra game cards; however, he was not very friendly and the wait took forever... Multiple staff were unable to help activate new cards too. Also, it's worthy to note that when you get the unlimited game play with 2 player cards, if you have little ones, they tend to lose their second card with their 500 tickets. This happened to a few of our party guests kids, including my son, the birthday boy. Additionally, the 20 credits doesn't go far when some games are 15 credits.. definitely a limited "unlimited". I do not recommend having a kids party here. read more

Then you hunt down a staff member (probably because they only have four of them) and you realize quickly that you're dealing with kids running amok. The general manager is filling alcohol bottles with water. The place is a sticky mess. The food is frozen packaged garbage. There's no bartender, no servers. Why would you even have a kitchen? Seriously, clean out the crew and staff the place with the right people. You might get more than two and a half stars. read more

After a couple of failed attempts, this one really nice worker placed the plushy where it was a super easy win. She even tested the claw machine to make sure it was winnable for us. She literally gave it to us on a silver platter. This Round 1 was super clean (including their bathroom) and had lots of other games as well. read more

The customer service here is great, as the manager helped us make sure that the faulty crane machine did not eat our credits and took the time to show the breakdown of points to us. The lady that we purchased our $5 annual membership from and the lady she was with was incredibly nice and helpful as well. I'm only giving it three stars because the claw machines here are much more loose than before. The grab function doesn't seem to work too well for some machines. Selection wasn't too bad, but I wish they had less of the round yellow pillows that you have to grab in order to win a prize. Also, I found out they plan on removing Crazy Tower at this location, which makes me really sad because it's one of my favorite games. I hope they don't end up removing it. read more

I came here with my roommates and their kid to have lunch, play the games, and watch the Seahawks-Niners game after deciding not to wait at another place for an open table. There was no such wait here and it would soon be evident why. From having to place to order ourselves to the quality of the food, or experience was VERY subpar. The crew seemed very unaware of customers that were waiting to be helped. Furthermore, they weren't willing to fulfill requests for channel changes. I found this to be annoying seeing as it was the first week of the NFL season. Also for the prices, the games simply weren't worth it. With the new competition here in Reno, this establishment will need to improve greatly to not only remain open, but be competitive. read more

It's a nice arcade but they've gotten a little comfortable. Owners used to come and switch arcade machines often to make it more interesting believe it or not. There was different games every month or so! I stopped going cause you end up playing the same games over and over. Even my kids are bored. Nothing new and it's kind of disappointing. Always a good time, but can become very expensive. This place is like a Dave and Busters minus the full restaurant and bar. While this place does have food, it's more finger food, beers and spirits. The game card is $2.00 to start and the games are anywhere from 6 credits to 12 credits depending on the game. The video and pinball games may be cheaper to play, but I'm not into those. We usually play the games to win tokens. Who doesn't love taking home an overpriced toy? The money/ credits for the games is odd. The more you buy in, the more bonus credits you get. I wish I took a picture of the credits information. Once you have enough tickets, you can buy items from their redemption store. This is a Japanese based company and a lot of their prizes are Japanese brands. There are a lot of coin pushers and plushie claw machines here which I enjoy. Fun place and lots of variety of games. I love the time play, for $10 you can get a card that allows an hour of play on certain games. Pinball is one, so I was stoked about that. None of the ticketed games are part of the time play, so if you want to get prizes with tickets, you can't use the time play card. They have different package value for card that have credits and you can play all games. Their food looks good, but we didn't have any. don't waste your money here Went here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday called ahead of time to confirm they close at 2am which I was told is correct we got there at 12:40am and security guard wouldn't let one friend in the group inside due to the bar which was CLOSED! Finally able to get in and paid over $100 to bowl till they closed and was rudely interrupted by an employee at 1:40am and kicked us out because they were closed in the middle of our games without explanation when asked why he walked away from us mind you we still had 15-20 minutes left very unprofessional definitely will spend our money else where read more

My hubby and I dropped in tonight to play a few games (we're big kids at heart). Easy to find staff and managers to reset games and troubleshoot if prizes were stuck. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Great selection of prizes and staff were constantly restocking machines. We won big! Large and small Miffys, Hello Kitty, and backpack dinosaurs. It's so surreal entering and playing at an arcade during covid times and Round 1 was probably the best it could be in terms of safety, comfort, and a large variety of activities and games. Although we recently visited on a Friday evening, there wasn't really a crowd present so it felt comfortable to browse the games. For the arcade, you are required to use a tap card to pay for games. It costs $10 at the minimum (with $2 being taken out for the card itself), so a quick go-around will get you $8 of play credit. I spent $6 of that on one of their purikura machines which was straight up imported from Japan - everything was in Nihongo. It was fun to reminisce over former Japan days and goof around decorating your pictures. Although it felt steep, I've seen these photo booths be upwards of $10 per set in LA. My true love at Round 1 was the fact that they have the two latest DDR releases available, which blew my mind. Although the latest release was not available to play (card reader was deactivated), the other machine was and I gotta say - cabinet looked sleek, pads were very responsive, and it looks like they kept it well up to date. A few songs in and I felt like I was in high school again- I still somewhat got it. If the other machine were on and perhaps easier to get help to turn on certain cabinets, I would've given them another star. It was still a good time overall so thank you Round 1 for a fun little evening! read more

Honestly don't know why some people are post negative comments here about Round1. Never seen malfunctioning machine, never saw the bowling lanes closed nor have I ever got disappointed or sick with their food offerings. But I have seen some trashy people acting like idiots around the gaming machines, people clearly drunk or high on something, and otherwise people who thinks this is a Downtown casino and thinks they can act like idiots. Fortunately, security usually does a pretty good job in keeping out the unwashed and actually lets people have fun. I'm beginning to think it's a customer problem and not the facility or employees problem. read more

We came for a karaoke night and had a really fun time! I'd never been here so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place has it all! Sensory overload. The rates are decent for how much space they give you. Food options are pretty standard (mostly fried), but affordable. Beers and other adult bevys are decently priced. I have a few complaints, only because they would greatly improved the experience. 1) You have to leave your room to go order food, then you have to wait for it and take it back to the room. If they offered a QR code system for ordering and delivering the food and drinks it would give you more time back to enjoy the room you paid for. 2)A better system of notifying you if there is a wait list for rooms. We wanted to extend our time and it was not an easy process and kind of took away from the fun. 3) There was no trash can or napkins or water or anything in our room. If they provide it, it would make for a more welcoming experience, like they actually want you to stay and hangout. "Stay a while" vibes. The staff was all super helpful, especially Noah. We had some tech issues and they were helpful in troubleshooting to fix it with us. Ed was fun and friendly too. Thanks for being so great! read more

It was great, her and my nephew were the only little ones there, the rest of our party were adult kids and we all had a great time with bowling and the arcade games! Food was good too! I was excited that we got a Round one in Reno and my previous review reflected that. Now however they only get two stars because what the facility was clean, I felt slighted cuz they got rid of the last of what I would play which were the pinball machines. Little pinball Pac-Man and pizza would be great. But oh no they can't do that they have to fill it up with all claw machines filled with Japanese anime toys that appeal to 20 something losers. I understand that price redemption is king now but would it kill them to have like Pac-Man, Popeye, pinball for us old timers? So yeah whenever somebody in my family decides to have a birthday party or they want to go to round one I'm going to stay away because obviously I'm not their target demographic anymore so they don't need my money apparently read more

Worst customer service, bowling lanes didn't work properly, menu screen wasn't up in "snack bar", the chips were stale and nacho cheese was questionable, the games didn't work right and were too expensive for 30 seconds of play, paid for the air hockey table and no puck came out. Literally every experience I had here was poor. We came here to celebrate our sons birthday. They have different packages depending on amount of tickets. All of the games were working and if there were any issues they fixed it right away. They have bowling and a food court as well. Only downfall a lot of food wasnt available due to shortage which wasnt their fault. Valencia at the food counter was amazing. She made sure our orders were right and was working so hard but kept a smile and generous tone the whole time. We all enjoyed our time here and will be back. Round1 is open in Meadowood Mall! It was very easy to spot from the outside coming in with the giant bowling pins. If you're coming in from the mall, the entrance is right next to the food court. There are 2 karaoke rooms, 10 bowling lanes, a few billiard tables, and a large arcade area. Also, they have an area where you can order food like pizza, burgers, etc. There are multiple places that you can order food from, either from the counter or the kiosks nearby. They have .99 ice cream cones! But they only have 8 flavors. The bar isn't open yet but they advertise 1.99 beers! I recommend joining their membership. It's only 6 dollars a year and you get a dollar off various activities. Today, we did bowling and played some claw machines. The bowling was pretty fun! They kept things interesting with their monthly challenges and moonlight strike event. My boyfriend won a bag, but they had other prizes like a t-shirt too. The bowling balls looked nice - it had a basketball looking pattern on them. The claw machines had so many cute plushies! If it gets put out of place, you can always request a staff member to reset it. We didn't win any, however our friend knocked a plushie down, and it's tail hooked on to the bar! They wouldn't let us have it since it wasn't all the way down. That was sorta bull since only the tail was sticking out. He had to swipe again to push it down.
