I called back to see what happened and they admitted to mixing up two different orders. They said I could drive back up there, but that's all they would do. Fantastic pizza but EVERYTIME I go in, there are kids running the store. They gossip, chill, giggle... basically everything but actually work. I always feel awkward placing my order, like I'm an inconvenience. They do carry the legit homemade ranch, not the bottle crap that lots of restaurants carry (huge kudos). Attention Athenians this is not the Rounders pizza you know and love! The only thing they got right is the sauce. Also do not come here for lunch! I ordered 3 slices and it took the same amount of time as ordering a whole pizza, and every slice was cold after 20 minutes went by I went up to the counter to check on my order, and the manager just looked past me like I didn't matter. Finally tried it for lunch today. For $2 for a slice of cheese pizza this is a great value. It was hot and fresh. You could tell by the gooey cheese it just had not sit under a heat lamp. The sauce was great and had a zesty flavor. I think he was the manager but a guy asked how I liked it and told him the same as I am posting. I've heard their wings and pepperoni rolls are real good so I will try them as well. This beats the national chains in the area by far. read more

When you first walk in the front door you are greeted by a half wall, which is not very inviting. You have to follow it around like you're in a school cafeteria or something. When I went, none of the employees were smiling. I've never been there before and was trying to figure out the menu and where to order. None of the employees offered to help or asked if I had been there before. I want to like this place because it's so close to me. This adorable pizza place in TyTex is as good as "Godfathers" pizza at home in ABQ. I had the supreme pizza called "prime" and loved every bite. The crust is the perfect thickness. I loved it. I took a star away because it was so loud in there, we got boxes and took it home. Definitely get it to go and enjoy every bite. read more

I liked the chicken Alfredo bacon pizza. However, it was way too expensive for what it was. The crust was majorly lacking. They'll also let you sub ingredients, and do half a pizza a certain way and half another way, but they don't tell you they're going to keep tacking on more money for that. I don't like the pizza here at all. On our first visit we had the regular crust pizza with red sauce and it had very little sauce. Boring taste. Next time I got a thin crust alfredo pizza, and it was also very boring. Oh I forgot to mention it takes quite a while to receive your food here. 27 minutes. The first pizza they brought us was completely wrong. So... back to waiting. We liked the wings alot. Big wings well executed. Left half the pizza. Not worth even getting a box to take home. Great environment and decent pizza at a decent price. You can buy by-the-slice from 11am-2pm each day which is great. No Wi-Fi though so don't plan any work lunches or study group type meals here. Great for eat and run or a technology free casual dine. read more

I've seen people complian about the staff here a lot, but I've never had any problems with the employees. My cashier/server was very cordial and did her job well. Granted, she was not very talkative or bubbly but I'm personally more of the reserved type so I have a greater appreciation for helpfulness/politeness/hard work rather than a good conversationalist. People of Tyler seem to generally be more extroverted and appreciate the ladder, so maybe that's the issue? Regardless, I think the staff is fine. Now the pizza itself is amazing. Even a simple one topping pizza has so much flavor to it and it's just so refreshing from the usual blandness you get nearly everywhere else. And this is gonna sound a bit weird to compliment, but I genuinely appreciate that their soda machine actually works. It's always a gamble with most places it seems, either the carbonation doesn't work or there's a concerning funny taste in the drink. But Rounders' soda fountain is well maintained and well carbonated. All in all, great place and I can't wait to take my friend here to show them how delicious the pizza is. read more

I had heard nothing but great reviews for this place from friends so I decided to check it out with my cousin who was in from Arizona. The pizza is decent, but the toppings are sliced so thin you don't really get the full flavor. We got a pepperoni and mushroom, but couldn't even tell there were mushrooms on it. The pepperoni rolls are awesome though, probably just should have ordered them as my lunch! Now if you are like me and like to dip pizza in ranch be aware that they do charge for a small ramekin of ranch, I think it was .80 cents so not to bad. I probably won't be a regular here or anything, but I would definitely pick up the pepperoni rolls for a football watching party. read more

I came here meeting a group of friends from church after a Sunday evening service. Even though I live in Athens, I work in Tyler every other weekend, & I always like trying new restaurants. There is a Rounders Pizza in Athens, but with that place it seemed more like a pizza buffet. This place you order at the counter & can take it to go, or eat at one of the tables in the eating area or even outside. It was a nice enough evening that our group pushed some porch tables together & ate outside on the covered patio (I at least think it was covered?). I was a domino's girl until Rounder's moved into town! This place blows all other pizza shops in Tyler out of the water! The service is great. The prices are awesome and so inexpensive for what you get! I will never order from another pizza place as long as Rounder's is an option! My family and I order from Rounders pretty often, with that said I called tonight to order our usual. Shelby answered the phone giggling and said Rounders how can I help you? I said can I order a large pride she laughed and I heard someone in the background say something...then there was some kind of rustling and I said hello?? Then she said sorry cant do a large togo pizza we are out of large boxes. She was very rude, unpleasant, and to busy laughing to take care of the customer on the phone. I just hung up. I generally do not give this kind of rating, even when things don't go as they should. However, this rating should probably be even worse based on the experience I had Saturday night. I placed my order in store, no problems and was asked if I would be waiting inside or outside. I advised I'd go wait outside so I could eliminate one additional person in the restaurant. I give them the 20 minutes they tell me to have to wait and then i go back in and waited for 10 minutes for someone to get to me to get my order. During this 10 minutes, there was a young male standing in between both counters rubbing all over his face. No gloves, no mask. I informed the gentleman that he probably shouldn't do that as he fails to acknowledge me. Then, without washing his hands, he goes and grabs about 20 XL boxes to fold for prep. Once he was done with this he comes back out to the same spot and continues to pick at his pimples in front of the waiting congregation. I, at this point, have had enough and I ask to speak to a supervisor regarding this guys disregard for sanitation. As I'm waiting for a supervisor I speak to the guy and ask him if he even understands what he has been doing. He acted as if it were no big deal as he goes around the corner to grab my food from the prep area. The supervisor comes out and I explain what this guy has done, what he has touched and the fact the had just grabbed my food and I, under no circumstances was wanting to take any of their food home with me at this point. The guy was so shocked that i had requested a refund and that I did not want to take the food with me. The supervisor didn't seem too concerned and simply gave me my money back on my card. All this happening with other customers concerned about whether or not he had been in contact with their food. This has to be a major concern for anyone and it needs to be addressed. I am absolutely not coming back without being available to stay and watch the employees handle food and utensils with proper care. read more

Unfortunately I've had to lower my star rating for Rounders- Tyler. While the pizza remains one of my favorites (specifically the hornet), service is poor. I almost always order for pick up, and the last three times I've done so there have been no staff "adults" in entire restaurant. The oldest staff member looks to be approximately 19... Unfortunately this leads to predictable results. This last time I ordered my pizza by phone and arrived approximately 15 minutes later... They didn't even begin my order until after I arrived. Lots of standing around and talking - very little in the way of customer service... This was a slow week-day night - no excuse. I asked the middle-aged guy next to me, also waiting for his order, and he said this seems to be standard practice there. He too often saw no one over the age of 20 on staff... also with predictable results. Many teens are capable of doing a great job (and I even have a couple of great, former students working there), but the young staff at Rounders needs a little bit more leadership and/or training and supervision. read more

I had a small pizza with veggies. It tasted good. Much better than Dominos or Pappa Johns. I'd recommend it.
