On December 24, 2025 (Christmas Eve), I experienced a pricing discrepancy and unprofessional customer service at a High Neighbor location. I selected multiple bags of Bernard's candies that were displayed directly beneath a $3.29 shelf label. At checkout, the items rang up as $9.49 per bag. I questioned the discrepancy and returned to the shelf to verify the pricing. Photos taken at the time clearly show the product placed under the $3.29 label. The front-end manager, Dearian, responded dismissively, walked away from the situation, and made no attempt to resolve or de-escalate the issue. This occurred during a very busy holiday period and was embarrassing as staff openly discussed the situation at the register. During the interaction, it was stated that customers had been complaining about this same pricing issue for approximately five days, yet the shelf placement had not been corrected. This indicates prior knowledge of the issue and failure to take corrective action. The store manager on duty, Jose, later assisted and provided only a partial price adjustment, as reflected on my receipt. While an adjustment was made, it did not adequately address the misleading pricing or the unprofessional conduct. This experience raises concerns about pricing accuracy, management accountability, and customer service standards. Repeated incidents like this risk misleading customers and driving business away. Requested Resolution: 1. Written apology acknowledging how this was handled 2. Confirmation of leadership/customer service training for involved management 3. Store credit or refund consideration as a goodwill gesture Photos of shelf placement and receipts are available for documentation.

A lot of people don't know about the supermarket in Baton Rouge going with the bigger chains. Hi Nabor has a really great values, almost as much selection as other stores comparable to even Walmart but more focused on the bargains. I think it's one of the few places that regularly has processed alligator at a good price as well as other local fish. I would also say that the produce and bakery sections are decent. There could be a larger section to avoid having to go to a CVS or Walgreens for toiletries. I wish the fish section was even larger although I've been very impressed with the pork and beef selections. If you want to save money food shopping this is a store that you definitely want to check out in Baton Rouge.

This was my first time to stop at this location as I was traveling through to Mississippi and…read moreneeded to pit stop to stock up on supplies for others. This is by far the least crowded TJ's that I've been to so that was fun, though I wasn't able to find everything that I came in to look for. I called ahead on last Tuesday to ask if they had beefless bulgogi and a designated section for their meatless frozen products. I was told that they did, but guess what, I scoured the frozen selection and did not indeed find it. There was hardly anyone working on the floor which is pretty rare. Everything was mixed up into one which made it difficult to locate anything and was a bit annoying considering I was already pressed for time and needed to get to Mississippi. The plants out front was reasonably priced and I bought a few. On the way out to checkout, I chose Manager, Trinity line, but Trinity did not speak with me at all. She didn't even acknowledge me. It was very weird and not something that I've ever experienced at any TJ's that I've been to. Usually, the cashiers are the most bubbly out of any grocery store that I've shopped at. I prefer to shop at TJ's because of their solid products and their cashiers. I think next time I stop here, I won't go through Trinity's line. It was weird since the guy before me, was greeted and got a smile from her, but I asked her how she was doing and she treated me like a tree. Anyways, I tried the TJ's exclusive licorice and it was the real deal. The mango, raspberry, and green apple mix pack was very solid and tasty. I damn near ate the whole bag last night. I got it because it has actual licorice paste in it and not just high fructose corn syrup. Another snack that I like are the sweetened orange slices by TJ's; so very delicious, but another extremely the best snack are the jerk plantain chips. I love TJ's, but I wish TJ's was located in every state, so that all people can experience the goodness of the store. This location is pretty much in a safe looking area of Baton Rouge and not too far from I-10. The parking lot is shared with other establishments. I'll definitely be back.

The employees are so kind and very helpful when I get lost in the aisles. All the food is fresh and yummy and I don't know what I would do without my Trader Joe's! And I'm actually okay with the '80s music on blast.
