Rouses is my favorite market. The only time I have an issue is when someone doesn't fry the chicken correctly (fried and grilled). Great guys and sometimes a female in the meat department. Great location, great prices and great customer service. The store is clean, organized and the staff is very helpful. I was looking for my Honest green tea but they were out. The manager wasn't sure if they still carried it but took the time to help me find it and is checking with the vendor for more info since it wasn't on the usual order. I have a 35 year history of shopping with Rouses from my early days in their Thibodaux, Louisiana locations. Needless to say, I was excited when they opened this new store in West Mobile. They are known for fresh produce, seafood and great meat selection. If they don't have a product that you need, just ask. You will find many Louisiana products including Chisesi Ham, Tarte de Bouille pie, and great seasonings. If you are looking for tasso or a meatloaf blend (beef, veal, pork) you will find it here. This store was a remodel of a sporting goods place and they did a great job. The big surprise for me was the demo kitchen that is hidden off to the right of the entrance. It is beautiful and perfect for their traveling chefs to teach in. I attended a class with Chef Nino and learned some great tips for cooking shrimp tacos. These classes are free, so just check the Rouses Facebook or website for one near you. (https://www.rouses.com/in-store/events/) Chef Nino is a delight and keeps the crowd entertained with his cooking and his endless supply of jokes. Although the Rouses brand has grown from a handful of stores to 63 in number, there is still a hands on approach. Customer service is paramount to the family. Love the bulk coffee section, can get a small sample of different types with having to buy a whole pound. So far of the 8 types i got all were awesome. They have a decent selection of wine and beer as well. With a walk in freezer for most if the beer. Unfortunately they only sell the single beers warm. Produce is fresh, just pricey. read more

Excellent bakery, deli, and seafood! Huge selection of beer and wine. I ordered a large sandwich tray (125), and they did a great job! The sandwiches were stuffed full of meat and the tray was nicely done. read more

Great prices on produce and meats & seafood and other grocery items. Yummy selections from their in house grill and sushi. I notice a bar-b-que selection, hot bar and salad bar but did not purchase-looked good. Bakery has a huge assortment of cookies, cupcakes, cakes, pies and everything you can think of for those who have a sweet tooth! There are several selections from grab and go meals. They also have meals for 4 that you can cook yourself-everything portioned our for you! Reasonably priced. Employees were friendly-I especially noticed how helpful they were to us. I really enjoy going into Rouses. I've been going there to buy their fruit cakes for years. I'm glad they came to West Mobile and they're closer to my home. They have a wide variety of wines to beers there. I like how they cater to local products at their store. The catering service from Rouses on Schillinger Rd was such an easy process for the big order we had for a graduation party. The staff, particularly Nicole, was very nice & helpful. She made sure our order was correct and offered more sauces to compliment our order. Very friendly and accommodating! Everyone enjoyed the food (crawfish pies were GONE fast)!!! if you are a person of color and go to the rouses on airport blvd you can expect to get the cold shoulder from the white people who work there , and do not try to call and ask a guestion they will just make you hold on the phone and then hang it up in your face if you are a person of color, people of color should not shop there or enywhere where they are not treated with respect , everytime i have shop there i was treated like i did not belong shopping there, and i will not shop there ever again read more

I love the store in West Mobile products, prices, cleanliness, and the employees. I however had my first undesirable experience today . While shopping on 01/07/2019 Between 3:00 and 4:00 P.M. The employee working the Deli counter took 45 minutes to slice 3 items. I wanted some sliced cheese also but gave up and bought some that was pre-packaged. The employee was in no way discourteous, she just seemed like she want to be doing anything other than what she was doing. read more
