Chicken breast& wing, mashed potato's & gravy, okra.

We arrived at 12:30 on a Wednesday. We had to wait to be seated (fine). They took our drink orders immediately (great). But we waited and waited for them to take our food orders. (Bad) I ordered the 2-breast fried chicken meal and they said it was special order and would take 15 minutes (fine), but it took over 30 minutes (bad) and the chef screwed up and gave me a breast and a wing (bad). The chicken did taste good (great). My wife had biscuits and gravy but the biscuit was so hard she couldn't break it apart and she had to jab it repeatedly with her fork to break off pieces (bad). We were there for 90 minutes and they never refilled my water glass which was empty for 30+ minutes (bad). So, it wasn't a totally terrible experience, but, I would never recommend it.

This place doesn't know small portions and i love them for that. Phenom food and the apps are crazy good. Services was grand. All around fan freakin tastic

The country kitchen is still alive and well in Oklahoma. This is the feel and vibe of a small town country kitchen where one may see locals waiting in line to taste the treats of what mom used to make! This place is privately owned by a husband and wife team who have obviously listened to what their customers keep coming back for. Remodeled in a new clean and comfortable feel with modern materials. Will recommend highly. Next up the burger or the chicken fried steak! Go eat and enjoy!

Service and food were really great. Chicken Fried Steak obviously hand breaded. Cherry cobbler was great with Blue Bell Ice Cream.

A 3 at the best. Pancakes and biscuits and gravy are not made from scratch, tasted like the boxed stuff. Gravy is just flour and water/milk, and some powdered seasoning . No bits of sausage, no authentic taste. Omelette lacked a lot. Under seasoned, and very small portions. Truly disappointing, especially with the reviews we read.

This is an amazing small dive. The cobbler is worth a stop! We had the special--meatloaf. Amazing.

Great stop. I had the roast beef special, the picture is the chicken fried steak plate. Both were excellent. Green bean side was canned, but everything was tasty, and the service was great. Cute Route 66 decor. Doesn't look like much from the road...kind of stands alone on the side of the road, but we'll worth the stop.

Great place for breakfast in what was previously a local little fruit market! Incredibly friendly staff, filling breakfast food, and cute stop on Route 66! The boys loved the bacon - nice and crispy, and the pancakes were so fluffy!! I can't remember our waitress's name but she was so sweet. Also, Judy was so kind and gave us an Oklahoma Route 66 trip guide as we were headed out.

Friendly staff, fast service, delicious food.they have daily specials also a menu to choose from - also they have a world-map on the wall - don't forget to mark the place where are you coming from! Highly recommend.

Great little dinner. This is a very good place to eat chicken fried steak. The staff is great and your tea glass never empties.

A nostalgic Route 66 stop, but the food didn't quite match the atmosphere…read more Our Route 66 adventure eventually led us to Lucille's Roadhouse in Clinton. I'll admit, I may have built this place up a little too much in my mind. The Route 66 nostalgia is absolutely outstanding. From the vintage gas pumps outside to the classic diner décor inside, it's a fun place to visit if you're traveling the Mother Road. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we were seated immediately. Our server, Arisa, was friendly, welcoming, and kept our drinks filled throughout the meal. One funny moment--I thought this was one of the Oklahoma Passport stamp locations, but it turns out I had confused it with the original Lucille's in Weatherford. Since Weatherford was on our return trip, I eventually got my passport stamped there instead! As many of you know, one of my personal quests is finding the ultimate Chicken Fried Steak, so that's what I ordered with corn and coleslaw. It certainly wasn't bad...it just wasn't memorable. The steak was tender enough, but the breading and gravy didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. It's not something I'd order again. The coleslaw was an even bigger disappointment. The flavor was simply off, and after a couple of bites I pushed it aside. I also tried the blue lemonade because it looked fun and refreshing. Unfortunately, it had almost no flavor. I'm normally a 95% water drinker, but every now and then I'll treat myself to lemonade or a soda. This one just wasn't worth finishing. Arisa happily exchanged it without hesitation, and I appreciated her taking care of it so quickly. My wife definitely won lunch. She ordered the catfish with fries and mac & cheese. The catfish was crispy, flaky, and delicious. The fries were cooked just the way we like them, and even I'll admit the mac & cheese was better than most restaurant versions I've tried. She even shared a catfish fillet and more fries than I probably needed! Overall, I'd give Lucille's Roadhouse 3 stars. The food was a mixed bag, but the nostalgia, spotless restaurant, friendly service, and fun Route 66 atmosphere made it a worthwhile stop. I'd certainly come back--but next time I'd order something different. My only real complaint beyond the meal was finding the restaurant. The GPS directions were surprisingly confusing, and getting there was far more difficult than it should have been. If you're traveling Route 66, Lucille's is still worth a stop for the experience alone. Just know that, at least on this visit, the atmosphere outshined my lunch. Chef T's Scorecard * Food: 3/5 * Service: 5/5 (Thank you, Arisa!) * Atmosphere: 5/5 * Value: 4/5 * Overall: I do think this is one of those places that deserves a second chance. Next visit, I'd skip the Chicken Fried Steak and blue lemonade and give one of their burgers, barbecue, or another house specialty a try.
