Decided to check this place out after a weekend at the beach. We walked up to the counter after wait in line. This place gets really busy so you might want to come early. They have seating outside I didn't notice any inside. So much yummy and delicious breads and treats. They also serve coffee and other drinks. We ordered sourdough bread w/cheddar cheese, a veggie croissant w/mushrooms and seeds, a danish w/strawberry and cream inside and coffee. Everything was fresh and delicious! They also have pizzas, salads and sandwiches which I will try next time around. If you're in the area go give them a try.

Super cute spot, delicious breads and definitely will be back if I'm in the area. Pizza is fire with a super thin crust

Great stop for pastry / bread! - Key lime pie slice: real lime zest, not artificial at all. Delicious crust as well! - Chocolate chip cookie: got this at the marshall store and it was the perfect texture, crispy edge but soft middle. Flaky salt on top to complete it. - Seeded bread: got this at hog island and it was perfect, fluffy with black sesame sprinkled throughout

Came here after seeing all the good reviews about their pizza. We went during the week so they were only serving the thick crust square pizza. We had pepperoni and mushroom. Both were good but I prefer thin crust which is only served on the weekends. There was plenty of outdoor seating. If you want to get any baked goods, go early.

This was one of the best bakeries I have ever been to, and I have been to a few of the spots in Paris. This rivals all of them. Look, if you just ate are are stuffed, you still need to stock up on some road trip snacks for later. And their coffee is exceptional. I am salivating just thinking about their baked goods. Small boutique bakery that meets and exceeds any expectations. Worth EVERY calorie. Prices are reasonable. Do yourself a favor, stop by and get some top tiered baked goods. You can thank me later..

Valentine's Day at Route One Bakery in Tomales was perfect. I had a rich mocha and a homemade apple pie with a flaky crust. My partner got a savory side of meatballs and an amazing turtle cheesecake--creamy, decadent, with caramel and chocolate done right. Cozy vibe, great food, we'll be back. Staff was friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful without being overbearing. We loved it so much we went back the next day for pizza, roast beef sandwich, and more pastries!!!

Hot chocolate croissant and banana bread. Both excellent choices!

Do not venture to West Marin without a stop at Route One Bakery & Kitchen! My daughter and I visited on a summer weekday from Inverness. She loved the unique hot chocolate croissant (think smores) and I was a big fan of the banana bread. We played in a nearby playground after our pastries and then came back to grab pizza to take home for lunch. Their focaccia pizza is otherworldly! If you're a mushroom lover, definitely don't miss that one! I also enjoyed their Caesar salad. We came back on Saturday before heading home to get more pizza and some sourdough bread. My daughter asked for toast every day for breakfast for as long as the bread lasted. Route One Bakery & Kitchen is a very special bakery; don't miss it!

Went in for lunch and came right back the next day! Everything on the menu was tasty, satisfying and would want you to come back. Cozy place, nice covered outdoor eating area, and staff were friendly. The mushroom pizza, cara-cara current croissant, apple pie are a must.

We got three slices they were all amazing!

We showed up later in the day. Right before they closed. The staff were awesome, polite and helpful. Most things were sold out but we found plenty of goodies to snack on after a day at the beach. Highly recommend the pizza was so good! And the Mexican hot chocolate croissant was amazing! The best chocolate croissant I've had. Topped with a toasted mallow cream. They closed while we were there so the staff offered us free sourdough loafs to wish we gladly excepted. We worked through the loaf over the next few days. For someone who geeked out on sourdough making during Covid and now has a true appreciation for quality sourdough. I can say this place makes a great loaf with a perfect crumb! Highly recommend this place and look forward to going back!

Great spot We really liked _the bread (sourdough: plain) (it's the same place that supplies to bread for Marshall store's "garlic bread") _The hot chocolate

I appreciate that it's a local business that supports other local businesses, family owned and operated, and is a beloved part of the community. The barista knows the orders for the regulars and seemed to know when someone wanted a chat versus needed caffeine and not up for talking. My oat milk mocha latte is always delicious and finished too quickly. There is a variety of rotating baked goods and a few easy breakfast options (like yogurt parfaits, frittata slices, and breakfast burritos) that have always been delicious. The homemade pastries are seriously amazing. Today, my scone (gluten free pear, ginger, and cardamom) was so yummy I got a second one to go (there isn't always a gf option for pastries available so especially enjoyed this one). Someone said their almond croissants were the best they had ever had. And they've had croissants all over. The coffeehouse is super cute, with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. The parking lot is easy to navigate. They also have my absolute favorite pronoun sign. One of the few places I'll always recommend and always stop in.

There's just one waitress. Extremely nice and friendly. We got to the Cafe at 1:30 P.M., and I was thankful to be given the option of breakfast or lunch. I chose breakfast and my partner, lunch. I always love small family owned and operated businesses (restaurants) and feel the majority of them serve the best meals. I had cream beef on homemade biscuits, with 2 sunny-side up eggs. My partner, grilled cheese sandwich with onion rings. I loved the onion rings as they were made with real onions and not that fake onion you find in most fastfood restaurants. Before taxes and tip, my meal was $18, and my partner's $17. I will definitely recommend this Cafe as you're driving up or down Highway-1.

The sandwich came with an organic marinated grilled chicken breast, bacon, cheddar, avocado, lettuce, onion + housemade mayo on freshly baked sourdough. Everything melded together nicely. That toasted bread was . The French fries were fresh and definitely tasted homemade, I didn't leave one fry behind lol. The onion rings had a very light batter and went down pretty easy. My husband thought they were a little too greasy but they're fried in oil so what are ya gonna do?
