I enjoyed ice cream at this location. I know when the weather is warm its probably a busy place. I enjoyed overlooking the bay and viewing the wildlife right across the street from the location. There was parking available and seats outside. There is no indoor seating here. They had alot of good flavors to choose and you can get 50/50 flavors. I like the coffee flavors.

Every year we come to Bodega Bay and always a highlight is making the trek in the morning to Captain Davey's for craft coffee Captain Davey is a character and fun to talk to. He sources excellent local pastries that are fantastic. He'll make any coffee drink how you want it. This small cafe also has outstanding ice cream. So it's not rare we're back later in the day. OR even better, affogato (ice cream and coffee drink). When Cap Davey finally decides to call it a day, this place just won't be the same. He is a big part of Bodega Bay. A local legend if you will. I'm on Captain Davey's ship manning the Karen cannons so come at me! Great service and great business.

It's a very small place that sell ice cream , shakes and coffees maybe 3 people can fit in there , the older man helping us was great it's a small town shop in bodega bay hidden in the back of a hot dog restaurant. Ice cream was great and it was pretty busy the whole time we were there give it a try

Look at the size of a single scoop!

After a warm day at the beach with my grandchildren, having ice cream was a perfect ending to our day. Thankfully, Captain Davey's was close by. Although it was busy, the line moved quickly. The portions are quite large which delighted my grandkids. I had the espresso blast which was delicious. The man serving was friendly and efficient. This place is tiny with no indoor sitting but there were several tables outdoors. I was pleasantly surprised by the cost- all 3 of our ice cream orders came to just under $10.

Well, updating my review sadly. Last year this guy and his little coffee and ice cream shop were part of our vacation and I remembered him and his shop fondly. However, on our way down Hwy 1 driving back home from a beautiful vacation we decided we stop here for some ice cream. There was a line so I waited. Once to the front I ordered 2 shakes and a cone. This was a bigger/harder order than he felt like making and he let me know! Now had my hubby not been in the car set on ice cream and had I not been vacation nothing really matters vibing I would have told him to have the day he deserves and left, but instead I listened to him whine like a little girl and even tipped him really well. Because you know he isn't gonna screw with my mood. Our shakes were delicious. Now I am home and my thoughts are.. any coffee/ice cream shop especially a coastal vacation destination shop is defined in my mind by the vibe- the way you feel while you're there. Maybe he should get someone else to help as he is clearly overwhelmed. We will find our coffee and ice cream elsewhere next time.

I haven't been here in years...and this time I've brought my kids! A very nice & patient man helped us with our ice cream order. We tried the peanut butter chocolate, mint chocolate chip, cookies'n'cream, & chocolate. ALL of it was still delicious & refreshing (good sized scoops too)! There's a good group of outdoor tables to sit at. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.

Captain Davey himself is really sweet. This is a cool, small local spot that serves up ice cream and coffee. Views across the street are awesome.

What a funny little hole in the wall! We needed a caffeine boost and this was the closest stop on our Bodega Bay visit, and it felt like a local staple hidden gem. DRINKS: Love that they have a variety of coffee drinks, all done to perfection! We really enjoyed the white mocha, latte, and chai - they offer spiced, sweet, or mixed. I appreciated that! ICE CREAM: We didn't try the ice cream this trip, but it looked so/so. They had the pastries sitting in the ice cream freezer on top of some, so it was hard to see all options and felt a little cluttered. SERVICE: Was helpful and positive, but a bit slow: note that they use the espresso machine to make drinks one by one, so it takes a bit longer. INTERIOR: Somewhere between kitschy and unorganized. Loved the local artwork hanging and maximalist decor, but behind the counter's mess made it seem like it could be a bit cleaner. Good local stop for coffee!

They make the most amazing espresso milk shakes and the lady that has been there both times that I have come here to get one was very friendly and polite. This place is like a breath of fresh air. What's better than a nice cold milkshake on a hot summer day? I don't know. You tell me. I just discovered this little hidden gem yesterday, now I'm sitting outside it drinking one of their shakes For the second day in a row. And it's easy to say that anytime I'm in the area of Bodega bay I will be stopping by!

The tiny shop is next to the Hot Dog stand, also popular.

Although I didn't have a coffee here they seem to do a robust business in that arena. I came for the ice cream and it was DELICIOUS! Soft and creamy, the consistency was perfect and the array of flavors impressive for such a teeny tiny shop. (Literally two people barely squeeze inside). Having the Butter Cream was my favorite, on a waffle cone; but I did return again for a Pistachio Almond... also good, but not as good as the Butter Cream. Divert off Highway 1 for just a bit, by the Post Office, and you won't regret it. Staff is very friendly and masks are requied.

    Super prices.

I appreciate that it's a local business that supports other local businesses, family owned and operated, and is a beloved part of the community. The barista knows the orders for the regulars and seemed to know when someone wanted a chat versus needed caffeine and not up for talking. My oat milk mocha latte is always delicious and finished too quickly. There is a variety of rotating baked goods and a few easy breakfast options (like yogurt parfaits, frittata slices, and breakfast burritos) that have always been delicious. The homemade pastries are seriously amazing. Today, my scone (gluten free pear, ginger, and cardamom) was so yummy I got a second one to go (there isn't always a gf option for pastries available so especially enjoyed this one). Someone said their almond croissants were the best they had ever had. And they've had croissants all over. The coffeehouse is super cute, with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. The parking lot is easy to navigate. They also have my absolute favorite pronoun sign. One of the few places I'll always recommend and always stop in.

Roadhouse has a cozy, slightly gritty charm, with shared board games, indoor and outdoor seating, and a small selection of fresh baked items, including cream cheese blueberry coffee cake, morning buns, and banana walnut muffins. It opens very early, which customers dedicated to their caffeine, like myself, will appreciate. My Mexican mocha with oat milk, cinnamon and mild spice was well made, and hit the spot.

The restaurant's large windows provide beautiful waterfront views no matter where you're seated. Our waitress (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was fantastic. She mentioned she'd been there for 14 years, which says a lot in itself. She was friendly, knowledgeable about every dish, and gave us excellent recommendations. I know Caesar dressing contains anchovies, but I was hesitant about having actual fish on my salad. I'm so glad she encouraged me to try the cooked anchovies on the side--they were delicious. Perfectly salty and a great complement to the salad. The pork chop entrée was perfection! The pork was cooked beautifully, and the bread pudding side was just as memorable. I'm not entirely sure what was in it, but it reminded me of garlic bread in the best way. The applesauce was also a nice touch. The halibut was cooked perfectly as well, and the mashed potatoes practically melted in your mouth. For sides, the grilled asparagus was exactly what you'd hope for, and the crispy potatoes lived up to their name, perfectly seasoned with a great crunch. The soup of the day was a creamy spring onion soup with crispy pancetta. Although just as delicious as everything else ordered, its the one plate we wished the portion was bigger for the price it was going for. We've eaten at plenty of restaurants, but this may be the first time where every single thing we ordered--from the entrées to the sides and sauces--was a 10/10. Needless to say, this won't be our last visit. It was absolutely worth it and such a memorable part of our anniversary trip to Bodega Bay.
