So how do you follow up on such a great experience? Get one for my dearly beloved - that's how! I called Phil, talked to him about her fitment issues and sent me not one, but two saddles for her to try - telling me to just send the one back she didn't like. Are you kidding? Nobody trusts people like that anymore - but Phil does! She couldn't be more happy with her saddle. I was so happy with his service and attention to detail I even bought a jersey of his to pimp on my rides. And I never pay to pimp other companies products (within reason). Seriously - you want a comfortable saddle and top notch customer service, get a Koobi and end your search. It's that good.

After taking no ownership for the frame damage and incorrect cassette assembly, they then incorrectly concluded my thru axle was cracked when it was simply an intentional gap in the washer so the back thru axle nests correctly. I found this all out after going to a professional shop down the street. If you need some simple work done, or some skis waxed, they could probably help. Anything more, and I would highly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

I noticed this bike shop in the same shopping center as my gym (Kineo Fit) but hadn't needed their…read moreservices until now. My bike dropped the chain while I was out riding yesterday so I called to see if they could take a look. They said to bring it in. We did and were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Cord remembered me from the call and dropped what he was working on to take a look at my bike. He gave it a thorough inspection and discovered a bent something or other near the rear derailleur. He was able to bend it back without too much trouble. He used a special tool to ensure it was straight. Then he checked my chain and showed me that it was due to be replaced. He pulled one from the shelf and replaced the old one. Then he took it off the rack and rode it around to test the work - discovering it needed just another minor tweak. Oh, and washed it too (no charge). We walked out about 30 minutes later with a clean, cleanly shifting bike for a very reasonable price ($60). Check them out - lots of bikes on consignment and new stuff too. Super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely go back.

I always love…read morevisiting the local running stores in cities because we all know many of them are behind the best races in town. I wasn't in the market for much on our trip. We glanced their inventory and looked for a certain fueling product my son wanted but didn't find. I did come across the cutest rabbit ice bandana, which I purchased. Although it was snowing the day we came in and an ice bandana was the absolute last thing I'd need that day, I've been known to grab ice and shove it under my hat and down my sports bra so this bandana will surely come in handy for warm weather runs/hikes. I'm so glad I spotted it. Great store! Highly recommend.

This is the best fly shop I have ever been in...and I've been to a lot of them over the years…read more Really. Mike, who runs the shop, is awesome, and so are the guides Dave and Ian. They are focused on customer service more than any other fly shop I've visited. My experience was fantastic! While planning a visit to Colorado, I inquired about a guided trip to the "dream stream" via email. Mike responded and we started up an email conversation about what I was hoping to do. I explained that I was visiting a friend who lives in Colorado and that my friend had never fished at all let alone fly fished. He was a total newbie. Mike said that he had several guides who would be perfect for us. It turns out that he was spot on. We booked two half-day trips, back-to-back. I didn't bring any equipment and my friend of course had no equipment, so the shop supplied us with everything we needed from waders to rods and reels. The day before our first day on the river, we stopped by the shop and met Mike and Ian (who would be our guide the following day). Almost immediately, I knew that I had picked the right shop. We got fitted, bought licenses (and a lot of clothing that was on sale), and coordinated the following day's trip. Everybody was super easy going and pleasant. This was a good sign! The following day, we met our guide and followed him to the river (in separate vehicles). Since we had done all of the prep and "paperwork" the previous day, we made good time to the stream. I was stunned when we got there; nobody else was there! With everything I had heard about the "dream stream" being so crowded, I was as happy as I was surprised. Ian (our guide) was super patient. He even helped my friend get his waders on. (My friend had never worn waders.) When we hit the water, he patiently gave both of us some instruction on what to expect and how to fish the river. I hit the stream while Ian taught my friend how to cast and mend, etc. Within 30 minutes of us actually starting fishing, my friend hooked and landed his first fish ever, a small brown trout. Wow! A short time later, I landed one too. We went on to have a fantastic day on the river even though we had to cut the day short due to extremely high winds. The following day, we had another guide, Dave. We met him at the river. He brought all of the equipment with him. The weather was gorgeous and the fishing was hot. We got a decent number of fish on the hook and landed a good percentage of them. We caught browns and rainbows. It was AWESOME! Dave was an outstanding guide! I'll definitely book a trip with South Platte Fly Shop the next time I go to Colorado. I highly, highly recommend checking out the shop and booking a trip with them. The shop and guides with whom we fished are top notch! A personal note: I have fished with guides at least 35 or 40 times in various places and out of various shops and outfitters in several states. I have enough experience with guides that I know a good guide when I fish with him or her. One more note: currently, there is a negative review about an employee. I inquired about it and was told that the employee mentioned in the review is no longer employed by the shop, so don't let that review put you off from this shop.
