2 months ago I got my ear pierced at Rowan piercing. I saw there was personal nurses there to give me my piercings so I automatically choice this was the best decision for my ears. I got my second lobe pierced and it was the worst experience ever. At first my piercing did not hurt ( I got needle piercing) I assumed that was good. So I followed instructions of how to clean my ear with the spray they recommended. I cleaned my ear twice every day and turned it 360 after my shower. My piercing stared to hurt latter in the same day I thought that saw normal for healing process I did the same routine for about a month and nothing worked my piercing was still fresh. My ear still hurt so I had to switch the earring they gave me because the titanium was not healing. I have taken my earring out because it was not healing. still to this day my piercing had not gotten any better. Don't come here this is the worst place to get your piercing. I had a painful and bad experience at Rowan piercing. Complete waste of money and time. read more

Came in on a random Monday while on a trip to Chicago and was pleasantly surprised! I got second piercings in my lobes. Opted for the needle option, real gold, flat backs, and the diamond "L" earrings. The piercing was fast and easy. I'd rate the pain a 4/10 so totally doable. I love all the jewelry options. I visited Rowan with two girl friends and we had such an amazing experience! All three of us got piercings: mine was a cartilage piercing, one friend got a lobe and the other got a conch piercing. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and fun. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They made us feel at ease the moment we walked in, even though we were all a little nervous. The studio itself was spotless and beautifully designed--it felt more like a chic boutique than a piercing studio! Our piercer was knowledgeable and patient. She walked us through every step of the process, answered all our questions, and double-checked placement to make sure we were 100% happy. The actual piercing was quick and (shockingly) less painful than I expected. What really stood out was the aftercare instructions. They explained everything in detail. They sell saline spray in store too if you don't want to make a stop to a drug store to pick it up after. My cartilage piercing healed well and I'm already in love with how it looks! My friends are equally thrilled with their piercings. If you're considering getting a piercing, I can't recommend Rowan enough. I came in for a simple jewelry change with their nurse piercer, and it turned into a nightmare. My piercing had been fully healed for years, but the jewelry they put in was far too tight and, as I later learned, made from poor-quality material. Within hours my ear became swollen, painful, and infected. I had to go to another piercing studio, where they told me the jewelry needed to be replaced immediately. Changing it was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had, and I ended up needing antibiotics to treat the infection. This was an awful and avoidable experience. My piercing was perfectly healthy before this visit, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had been wanting to add to my stack of ear piercings for a while, but have been too intimidated to make an appointment at my local tattoo parlour. I walked past Rowan while running some errands and decided to stop in and check it out. This studio is what dreams are made of! It is aesthetically pleasing and not intimidating at all. Immediately after walking in, I was greeted warmly by two different staff members, one of which was a nurse piercer. I told her about what piercing I was interested in and she patiently walked me through all my options for jewelry, device versus gun, and placement. She offered to pierce me on the spot if I was interested, which was a great surprise. I figured they would be booked out, so I appreciated their flexibility with walk ins. I picked my stud and the nurse helped me decide on the best spot based on the look I was going for and my anatomy. The piercing process was painless and over in less than a minute. Pricing was very transparent and I knew exactly what I was spending before I sat in the chair to get pierced. Once my earring was in, aftercare instructions were provided for me and I was given a card with the date for a follow up to check healing and get my jewelry switched. Rowan also has a dedicated nurse hotline if I have any questions or concerns about healing. Overall, my experience at Rowan was such a delight. The space was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and my piercing was done quickly and safely. This was the worst experience I have very had at a store especially that is supposed to be a " "medical "facility. I have had three failed piercing from this company. They never have offered to reimburse the hefty costs of the whole process, and then offered to re pierce but had to be in the same place as the ones that were bothering me! After asking.l for clarification, the staff told me essentially I needed to leave and were extremely rude. They kept said "absolutely not" when asked why I could try a different area to be pierced. Who talks to customers like that, and it is also extremely overpriced! Very condescending and rude. Do not go to Rowan if you want to feel awful !!! I am so appalled by this company! All of their employees should take a customer service class! I do not lose my cool, but this place made me so upset and made me feel so "small." Wow! Just awful! You can never talk to a live person, and always refer you back to locations. I am expecting full refunds on all my piercings for the hassle and cost prohibitive costs with now back ti square one. read more

I made an appointment for a same-day piercing. When I arrived there was only one nurse working that day, but she was very diligent about tending to me as well as other customers walking through the door. She explained the after-care process thoroughly, and the piercings themselves (lobe and cartilage) were quick and painless. Would definitely come back! read more

Loved everything about this place. I wanted to get my ears pierced just before my birthday, and this is the place I believed was the best option. And it was! Shayla was my piercer and she was super cool. I had to wait about 10-15 mins after my scheduled appointment time due to someone else being ahead of me, but it didn't bother me at all. I just got a second lobe piercing here! I worked with Ally, who helped me pick my earrings (I'm allergic to so many metals, so we took some time to decide and she was so patient). I had second lobe piercings done before that were very uneven and Ally took a lot of time measuring out where to place them so they would look perfect. I opted for the piercing device, which was so smooth and simple. It's totally unlike a piercing gun. It didn't snap and only stung for a second. By the time I left the store, the pain was gone. Within a few hours, my ears weren't even pink anymore. It was a great experience! read more

I had previously gotten pierced and mejuri and our piercer was worried about the condition of that piercing and adding to my stack. I got my helix piercing here in October. The nurse who did my piercing was so kind and explained each step of the process. Historically I've had such a hard time getting piercings to heal but this one has done so beautifully. They use very safe and sanitary methods. What will keep me coming back is their exceptional service. I purchased a piece of jewelry that had a small diamond in it. After having the jewelry only a few months the diamond fell out while i was sleeping and i spent hours looking for it. I went back in, explained the situation and the staff offered me a replacement at just the cost of a new post (about $45 cheaper than purchasing the original item again). I was thrilled to have the original piece i picked out and will be going back for another piercing soon! read more

These girls were awesome! I went to take my 5 month old niece for her first piercing. Our appointments were the last appointments available, right before closing. Shayla and the front desk admin were super thorough in explaining the process on how the appointment works. Helped us pick out our earrings without rushing us, gave their opinions on the earrings I should get, and talked us through every step of the way. A whole hour later, 30 minutes after the store closed and 5 piercings later, we left with our new bling. Love my piercings and my niece left Christmas break with her new earrings. Thank you ladies! The girl who pierced our ears was so meticulous, measuring to make sure both were in the same place on either ear. I have a crippling fear of needles and a low pain tolerance and the girl made me feel so comfortable. I had gone here for a piercing before and it healed well and had a pleasant experience. However, I had gotten a cartilage piercing at another company while abroad, and it got infected so I figured I would come to Rowan and have them take it out. Long story short, it snapped in half as the woman took it out. I understand this isn't her fault, but she just said "oops, it broke". Mind you this earring was $400. She didn't even have the decency to apologize, and essentially blamed it on me/ the earring brand, and then they charged me $16 just for taking my earring out and breaking it. Will not be coming back here ever again. read more
