Made a rash decision to get my nose pierced at 10am on a Thursday. The apt process online was super smooth and easy and had an apt for 5:15 when I got off work. The front desk was super nice and helped me pick out my jewelry and fill out my forms. Lylia was my piercer and she was incredibly nice and walked me through everything. The actual piercing probably took less than 90 seconds and the whole appointment from door to door was about 20 minutes. I will definitely be back if I decide to get any more and will definitely be asking for Lylia again. read more

They have put me on the ring-around over a deposit I made for a piercing. I put a deposit down for a piercing, they said the apprentice couldn't do it so I needed to pay full price for the piercer. When I communicated that I put a deposit down for the deal offered by the apprentice, and I don't have the money to pay for the other person, I was told I could get a refund (after literally at least 4 phone calls). They couldn't fulfill what I put down money for. Now, even after I went through the hoops to "get the refund," someone else has contacted saying they'd like to speak with me about the refund. I have called them time after time at this point with the same situation, talking to a variety of people. It has been terrible customer service. read more

I had a horrible tattoo that was pretty much disappearing on my right arm that I got when I was 17. I noticed in a redeye paper last year they did a feature on tattoo artists and there was this guy named Quori Senyon that was getting extra special praise and he was working in a shop Uptown which is where I live. I checked that place out on Yelp and I saw reviews stating that he no longer works there. I decided to google his name to see where he landed and his website came up revealing that he was working in this Little Village shop. I hit him up via his site and he hit me up a day later for questions about what I wanted and when I could come in. I drove over this past Sunday around noon and we went over the illustration. He told me it would take around 4-5 hours so we went to work. Quori is very good at what he does and explains everything he plans to do. Very painless tattoo and came out perfect after 5 hours (we took a couple of breaks LOL. I finally covered up my weak ass, almost nonexistent tattoo with a new big one. I got a chance to check out the work from the other artists and their work looks good as well. Very nice people here as they are all supportive of each other and fans of each other's work. Good spot to grab an awesome tat! Make sure you wear a shirt that you don't mind getting a little ink on as its pretty chilly in there. read more

Went in for my first tattoo. There was three people behind the counter. They seemed nice but no one would do my tattoo and they had me wait there for over two hours until I eventually left. Happened before the pandemic and never went back. Don't know why I was treated like this. I was polite and it was a small tattoo since I was inexperienced. They are trash. Overpriced and their customer service is subpar. I was sold body jewelry that was guaranteed to me to be of the highest quality and stay in place. Two days later, this was proven untrue. After returning to shop and waiting 40 minutes for piercer to show up ( he was called and said he'd be to shop in 10mins) to rectify, I was simply offered the same piece that was faulty in the beginning or given the option to buy additional jewelry equally overpriced. No consideration was given to me as a customer and at no point did he ever address the inconvenience. Stand behind your work and the products you sell 100% and if you can't, don't make excuses! My friend and I had piercings done by Charlie and he was seriously the kindest person ever! He made us feel really comfortable/safe and took his time to make sure our piercings were lined up correctly. He made sure the jewelry was the correct size to account for swelling that might happen and showed us how he sterilized the jewelry to ease our minds, which really helps during COVID. Every other piercing/tattoo place I've been to, the artist was pretty rude when I asked questions and got it done as fast as they could and gave no instructions on how to care for the piercing/tattoo. I was given a pamphlet on how to clean it, as well as basic instructions in person, and given his number in case I had any issues or questions. It was pricey but definitely worth every cent! I went in to ageless arts to get a cover up tattoo of a name on my back shoulder blade. The tattoo itself was in such a difficult place to cover up but Quori took one look at it and was able to come up with something that worked perfectly and I absolutely loved. I had talked to other artists at other shops who suggested a basic flower but I didn't feel it would go well with the surrounding tattoo. I love this place! Charly took the time to examine my ears thoroughly to give me the best piercer advice he could. I really appreciate it because my rook piercing was too small and wouldn't budge off and he tried his best to remove it, as he did. He proceeded to insert a new one which felt much better instantly! I used to come here all the time, and they had a great piercer, Eddie. But unfortunately he left. I still loved the place, the atmosphere, how talented everyone was and how they put their art all over the walls, so I decided to try another piercer anyway because if Eddie was great, I assumed they all were. I was wrong. I needed a replacement piercing because my piercing was now too long. Junior, another piercer, put my piercing in incorrectly, complaining the whole time because of the "angle" it was originally pierced. He didnt hear it snap, but assured me it was in. When I went home to clean my piercing, it fell out. I couldnt get it put back in because I had to go to work, and I couldnt put it back in myself. So I hoped and prayed the other end would stay in while i was at work so I could get it put back in after I got off. The other piece fell out. The piercing was very expensive, but even though it wasnt my fault, Junior said he could only replace my piercing with a cheaper piercing, and there was "nothing he could do" concerning replacing the piercing I paid for. I paid $60 for an opal stud, and was given a bogus cubic zirconia stud replacement. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed, and I won't be going back there. I recommend that if you do go to Ageless Arts Tattoo on Kedzie, go for their amazing tattoo work, not their piercers, especially Junior. It's disheartening to see employees not take responsibility for their mistake and give customers what they pay for; i'm down about $40 because of something I couldn't control. read more
