It' was our first visit so we didn't know if that was ok. We waited a few minutes for someone to come over, which was totally fine. I think they were either in shift change or just really short staffed?!? Unsure. We got a water and a Diet Coke. The Diet Coke was horrible. No taste, literally looked like brown water. No carbonation, no coke flavor. We did tell them so they could check there machine. She did check and brought be another one with less ice in it to help with the flavor?! Said the machine was fine. Second one tasted just as nothing like, but it's not a big deal, I didn't want to make it a bigger deal than it was. The gal did come back and ask if it was better and said I wasn't the first person to bring this up. We ordered the Mary's chicken sandwich and the Italian sandwich. SO GOOD! The fries were also very good. 8/10 overall. The chicken sandy could've used pickles but other than that amazing! Will we definitely be back for breakfast, that side of the menu looked insane! So really my only issues were we could smell the people smoking outside in the back area which really sucked. The bathroom was gross AF. I'm sorry but I don't think I've seen a more tore up bathroom at a restaurant before. And the weird Diet Coke and it could've just been us but we kinda felt like the staff was annoyed they had to help us, again it could've just been they got slammed in the AM and were recovering BUT I actually heard 2 other guests talking about the same thing. However, despite how busy it was, the staff was so attentive and kind, checking on us numerous times to ensure that our meal was enjoyable. The whole dining space has a comforting vibe and is kept very clean. There is an indoor bar area with the friendliest bartenders, and for Cheese Days specifically, there is live entertainment and food/drinks outside in the fenced-off parking lot area too. If you know us, you know we live for a good dive! It was a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty scarce. There was a large group when we first got there but they headed out and it was just us a few others. Classic dive on the inside and a nice bartender as well. This place is a true TAVERN. No hard alcohol, just beer, cider, wine, seltzers. Prices were incredibly affordable - four drinks after tip was only $25! The beer garden area is chaotic and I mean this in the best way. Exactly the type of beer garden I wanna see at a dive. There was a ton of space out there too! The ONLY gripe we had was that the smell of the fryer was extremely overwhelming. Normally it doesn't bother me much but it was SO strong here so we opted to sit outside because just being in there to order gave me a borderline headache from the smell. Truly was a great find! We're never in the area so it's unlikely we'll return, but we definitely would if we found ourselves here again.

The hollandaise on my perfectly cooked "basted" eggs was light and flavorful. The portions are filling but not ridiculous and the prices very competitive.
