This is the only dentist I actually feel comfortable with and who I feel is honest. Highly recommend Dr. Rowe, skip the chain dentists!

If it were possible, I would give this practice zero stars. My experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The office is disorganized, and the quality of care I received was unacceptable. I required a dental implant, which has been problematic from the start. During the procedure, Dr. Rowe dropped the correct screw and used an incorrect one, which ultimately caused the tooth to crack. The tooth was sent out for repair, and I traveled back to the office after relocating out of state for the follow-up. However, just 30 minutes before my appointment, I received a call stating they could not locate my tooth. I was told they would mail it to me so I could have it placed by a new dentist. That was in May. It is now August, and despite numerous calls to the office, I have not received the tooth or any return communication. I have since requested a full refund so that I can restart treatment in my new state, but my calls remain unanswered. I am now in the process of involving legal counsel simply to get a response. I strongly advise avoiding this practice due to their lack of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through. read more

Used to be good. At some point, the practice eliminated dedicated front desk staff and instead assigned receptionist duties to dental assistants and hygienists. Sadly, it shows. Calls during business hours frequently go unanswered, appointments are often mishandled, confirmations are never sent, and upon arrival, you have to lean over the counter and flag someone from the back just to check-in. Poor office administration and coordination can sink a practice, which is definitely the case with Rowe. Dr. Rowe does fine dental work, but a well-run office is just as important as quality dentistry, and unfortunately, this practice falls short. If the team cannot properly coordinate patient appointments, calls, or scheduling, it's really not worth visiting. Save yourself the hassle--there are better options out there. read more

My wife went here and they are not organized and only two people working, will not answer calls or emails. They also sent us a bill for $300 and it took a while for them to even answer us but when we called our insurance our insurance said they were charging us more than what they billed insurance. My wife has also never had cavities before and they said she has a couple. Not going back here again. read more

Kurt Rowe is a phony, a fraud, a quack, and a gaslighting liar. Just look at the other one star reviews. I'm not exaggerating. This was by far the worst experience of my life. I trusted him with my teeth and he botched my veneers. Five of my teeth fell out the first week. He refused to give me a refund so I had to sue him in Arizona court and after spending $15,000 in legal expenses I won. He had to cut me a check for $11,000. I also reversed the $18,000 in charges on my credit card. I still came out upside down. I've waited five years to post this review because I didn't want backlash. I just hope to God this never happens to anyone else. I will never trust another dentist again. Kurt Rowe is the worst of the worst. Find a new profession. I now have permanent trauma. Visit during Covid-19. So I was very concerned going to the dentist now when Arizona is at another spike of Covid cases. So I did my research the last couple of days and found the most recent articles around October that said no patient has gotten covered from a dentist office in the nation period, so that was good to see. And the CDC did recommend not skipping your routine appointments so I thought oh it's okay to go. but then I read other articles that said only go if there's an emergency you have a toothache you have severe pain and so forth. But since I had already deferred my appointment twice to be about 10 months or more since my last appointment and I had a sore tooth I decided to go in. Dr Rowe said at night they are using a UV light to kill all of the virus that may be in the air each night. And they're also using a new suction tool that sucks much more air and water out of the patient's mouth while they're working on it so there's less aerosols going into the air. Of course they take your temperature and ask questions period and all staff are wearing the blue medical masks. And all patients are required to wear masks when not being worked on. You of course still want to take all precautions wearing mask maybe wear goggles and sanitize and wash your hands especially when your appointment is finished just in case. Loved everything about my experience here! I didn't have the opportunity to complete my dentist visit at home so I took a chance and booked booked an appointment here. I had a great experience from my initial call to book an appointment to my very first appointment. I am so confident that I am in good hands here that it makes the decision to go to an out of network provider so much more comfortable. Also, they told me they were out of network upon my initial consultation so I can make the decision to come or not... no surprises here! The good Dr. is very personable his entire staff is my Dental assistance he helped me with questions about renting and buying a house here.... I just felt like home here! read more

I recently switched to Rowe Family Dentistry from the practice I'd been going to for over 15 years for various reasons. I looked at reviews and it looked like Rowe was a good choice plus it's closer to home for me. I recently had 2 temporary crowns put in and went yesterday to have the permanent crowns installed. One just didn't feel right so he tried adjusting and assured me that if today it still didn't feel good, to call the office that he would be there doing paperwork and I could come in. The crown broke last night while eating a simple chicken breast! I have never had a crown break before EVER! As soon as it happend I called the office and got the emergency after hours number and called that only to get a recording saying "the subscriber you have reached is no longer in service". Seriously? So I have called the office, left messages, replied back to my reminder text (because it says you can reply to it) I have even messaged both Dr. Kurt and Erika on their facebook pages I am so desperate to get this fixed! The edge is so sharp that when my husband put his finger in my mouth to feel it, it poked his finger and made it bleed. Imagine what it's been doing to the side of my tongue since 8pm last night. I am beyond frustrated and annoyed that I cannot get in touch with anyone at this office and had to resort to typing a poor review in order to get some type of response :( I sincerely hope nobody else has to go through any kind of dental emergency like this just to not be able to even contact the dentist. read more

Dr. Rowe and his staff are all amazing people! They are always very professional and always polite. I used to only go to the dentist as needed, but now I look forward to my appointments. I had two urgent issues come up in the past few weeks which caused me to call Dr. Rowe's office and they scheduled me an appointment the very next day without any hesitation whatsoever. Let me first start by saying that Rowe Family Dentistry essentially bribes clients for positive reviews by offering a "lifesaving cancer screening" and waiving the fee only if you post a positive review of the company. I have had such a horrible experience with Rowe Family Dentistry, the last time they tried to get me to participate in this underhanded scheme, I waived getting the cancer screening, and they still tried to charge me for it. As a patient there, I have had them fill over half a dozen cavities and put in multiple crowns. When they were recommending putting in some of the crowns, I had no pain in the teeth, and it seemed unnecessary at the time, in addition to being a very painful process. The first crown they put in came off within a few months time (it is not normal for that to happen), because it was put on incorrectly. The process of them putting on the crown, and then having to put on the crown again is one of the most horrific things I have experienced. I could not eat solid food for days, and could barely open my mouth. The dental assistants were not helpful either there, as when I told the woman that my tooth was very sensitive, she started to dig around in my mouth prior to numbing it. The pain was so bad, I jumped out of my chair. Since switching to a new dentist, I have found out that some of the fillings that were put in were unnecessary, one crown that was put on was sealed incorrectly and has led to substantial tooth decay (exactly the opposite thing the crown was supposed to prevent), and when I go to the dentist now, I don't feel like I am constantly trying to be upsold and taken advantage of as I do at Rowe Dentistry. If you have to go here for anything aside for the occasional teeth cleaning, I would recommend finding a new dentist. read more

I had a nightmare experience with Rowe and Warren dentistry. I would NOT recommend. I had a procedure done by Dr. Rowe which nearly immediately caused issues with not only my tooth, but caused headaches and other physical stress. I attempted to get this issue resolved, and the doctor only would do the bare minimum, which never really addressed the deeper underlying issue. The blame eventually was placed on myself as being one of these "it's all in your head or psyche" type issues, and that with time it would get better (it never did). I wasted several trips, PTO, and significant financial burdens throughout this process without resolve. Fast forward to a new dentist. The work that Dr. Rowe had completed was recently reversed. They removed a crown to find that it was never "seated" or sealed correctly. Because of this, bacteria had been growing underneath the tooth and began decaying the rest of my underlying tooth. This was causing my gums to be severely irritated and infected. Additionally, there was a question to what type of material was put in the crown, which I am not entirely sure was what was advertised. I expect more from a someone who I pay a lot of money and put my full confidence, faith, and trust into. To this day, I still have underlying issues that are systemic of this botchy procedure. read more

Dr. Rowe has been my dentist for years now. He is funny and answers my questions thoroughly. All of the office staff are amazing and make me feel comfortable every 6 months when I come in. Upon checking in, the receptionist said if I wanted, I could do a pre-rinse with mouthwash! In the bathroom there were disposable toothbrushes! What a great idea! I used a groupon for my visit here this morning and the experience was stellar! They were very accommodating to my needs and squeezed me in for a cleaning even though I was not scheduled. This was extremely helpful because I had to take time off for the visit. One thing that really stood out to me the most about my visit was how well the staff worked together. You can tell that everyone there gets along and is genuine. They worked as a team to get me in and out off the office as quickly as possible. I appreciate that more than ever since I get paid hourly. I've been seeing Dr. Rowe and his staff since 2011 and honestly, they make going to the dentist less dreadful/awful/complete shit. Yes, it's still going to the dentist, yes it's still going to cost some $$, and yes, it still might hurt and have scary sounding machinery going into your mouth, BUT Dr. Rowe is funny, his staff is great, and they have TV's! I also love that they text you before your appointment to remind you so no excuses. Michelle, you are amazing. Billing is also as painless as it can be, they try to work with you as much as they can and are flexible with payments as they know dental work can add up. I came back in last week after not having seen a dentist in a few years (screw you NYC, my crap insurance insurance there, and horrifically long wait times to see any non-craiglist dentist) and it was like I had never left! The entire staff remembered me, asked how my family was, reminded me to bother my dad to come in, and got my teeth in tip top shape. I also had some fillings done and Dr. Rowe called me after 5PM to make sure that I could feel my face again and checked my pain levels. I ended up going back in yesterday because a) I am a baby and b) google told me I could have a root canal/was probably going to die (pro tip, don't ever google things, just don't). I did not, but reassured me that my jaw was just sore, and polished up my fillings and sent me on my way. ANYWAY, if Dr. Rowe is anywhere with your range of acceptable driving distance and you need a dentist, go. You will be super pleased you did. Promise! read more

But wait. My experience was exceptional. Knowledgeable, friendly and informative. The even gave my 3 year old some special attention as he and my husband waited for me. Dr. Rowe was my dentist from two years back. One dental procedure that he took care of was a crown that I had placed. The crown was placed because they said that my tooth was fractured and that it opened the door to decay, cavities, and other issues. I felt no pain or irritation at the time. Almost immediately after having the crown placed, I had pain and sensitivity... and two years later, I still get heavy bleeding when flossing and brushing. I finally found a dentist in my new neighborhood (the long wait between visits was due to a pregnancy and caring for an infant), and my new dentist tells me that the crown is not fitted properly and it is irritating the surrounding tissue. Additionally, he says that without pain or irritation, I didn't need the crown. So while this may be an okay place to get run-of-the-mill cleanings, I would probably seek a second opinion or just go elsewhere if you need any procedures done. My husband and I both went in for our first visits this week and loved this dentist. Great, friendly staff, highly professional and sanitary. The downside was that Dr Rowe is pretty aggressive about treating cavities and issues where we prefer to take more of a wait and see approach. Dentists seem split these days between those becoming like chiropractors who want to sell you stuff and more steadfast pros. I'm a fan of the latter camp, personally. read more

Bit the bullet and looked up a dentist on yelp, after the rave reviews I decided on this office. They could not have been more fabulous and accommodating. They let me completely explain my fears and background, were sooooo understanding without being condescending, no lecture just TLC and an assurance that we are on the right track. Exactly what I needed! Every one of the staff members were so kind and fun! I can't do life without laughter, they were my type of people. So knowledgable and professional without being high and mighty. I could go on and on! My family and I have been loyal customers for so many years due to the high quality service, friendly staff, and premium dentistry work. The office runs like a well-oiled machine and is always looking out for their clients best interest: offering refreshments as you wait, being respectful of your time, sending friendly appointment reminders (via text and mail), and all with a smile. Recently following my appointment the staff remembered my upcoming wedding and was thoughtful in offering teeth whitening options to both me and my fiance, who is not even a client. They also made the time to speak with me about my upcoming health insurance changes and coverage according to my fiance's employer. They were extremely informative and helpful! read more

It had been two years since my last cleaning and apparently a lot has happened in my mouth since then. I found this office on Yelp and made appointments for my boyfriend and myself. They got us on the schedule within days. They emailed us most of the paperwork to be completed before arriving, which made the whole visit that much quicker. The admin staff at the front is very customer service-oriented and she immediately remembered my boyfriend had been there earlier in the week. I was taken back quickly, finished the X-rays in minutes and was seated. They took pictures of my mouth, had the hygienist clean my teeth and then the doctor came by to discuss all the work I'd need done. I return later in the month for 2 crowns and 3 fillings. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. My prognosis sounds pretty awful, but at least I'll be in good hands. I don't have dental insurance so all of my payments will be out of pocket. They said if you pay in full, they'll give you a 5% discount. So far, so good. I hope the actual dental work is as smooth as my first visit. read more

I wish there were more stars to give--- Dr. Rowe is incredible, and both his assistant and office manager are wonderful! Personable, funny and highly experienced are just a few adjectives at the top of my list. Takes time to get to know the patient and establish a rapport. He put me at ease immediately when an implant put in by a dental school fell out, assuring me that it could be replaced with a better model. I have been plagued with dentist-phobia since I was a kid, and I have to say I've never had such gentle and painless (!) care in my life.... I've been going to Dr. Kurt for about 3 years now. Every time I'm in and out quickly, they take great care of my teeth and everyone is very friendly. I started to take my daughter there when she was 3 years old because the "kids" dental offices scared her. Dr. Kurt is great with my daughter and when she needed 4 teeth extracted (small mouth, big teeth) she would only let him do the procedure. We told her she could go somewhere else where she would be put to sleep so that she doesn't feel or remember anything, but she said she would rather go to Dr. Kurt where she knew she would be awake because she feels so comfortable with him. She didn't like the experience but she says she would still go to him if she had to do it over again. We are very happy with Dr. Kurt and his staff. read more

Recently Dr.Rowe and his staff have taken over for Dr. Warren. I was skeptical. I love love love Michelle at the front desk. I miss her mucho since I haven't been in. She knows her shit and knows how to get things done. My sister has been seeing Dr. Rowe since Dr. Warren left and she is very happy with him. Today she hit a snag. She had some oral surgery done early this morning and was supposed to have a temporary plate put in directly after her surgery. The lab dropped the ball so she had to hang out in town (she lives two hours away) after having wisdom teeth removed, posts put in....and wait. Not so much fun for me, or for her. After a little darvocet she couldn't get her bearings and she friggin' passed out on me. I caught her as she was going down. I was cursing, she was falling. My mother was circling and panicking. It takes a lot to make me panic. I knew she'd be okay... She doesn't wear "pasty, pale, sweaty white" well but we'd work with it. I immediately called Michelle, she put Dr. Rowe right on. He was very concerned and had me give him details about the meds she took and food she ate. My parents left her with me to go pick up her temporary teef . When they got there the staff was very concerned and even gave her a beautiful note with a generous gift card for gas since they know she travels so far to see them. Y 5 stars! Y read more

I am a new patient and they said I have two cavities. I got the cleanings on a Groupon. Funny thing is I've never had a cavity before in my life. Went abc to my regular dentist and he said I was most likely scammed. What a disappointment. Why can't people do the right thing? This is hands down, the best dentist office I've ever been to. I had to get some cavities filled and they all took very good care of me. Dr. Rowe was great! He took time to answer all my questions and concerns and was very knowledgeable. He is also very personable and patient, unlike most dentists ive had to deal with!! The staff is AMAZING! Just got back from a check up and they had hot coffee waiting for me. On my very first visit they took me on a quick tour to show me the instrument sterilization room--fridge--bathrooms ect. I will be moving out of town within the month and I wish I could just pick up that whole office and take them with me lol! Though not the cheapest dentist they do a very thorough professional job. I got in on a groupon coupon for exrays, teeth whitening kit, and cleaning for $79. I went back and my cleaning and exrays were $278. Luckily they have a payment plan, with no credit check needed. I also got a cavity filled and eveything went well. I don't mind paying extra for dentistry to be done right, since I've had some bad jobs that had to be done again! It's your mouth and you have to live with it every day, so it's worth it! read more

Just got my bi-annual cleaning and check-up...as usual, it was a good experience. It's like going to see old friends and I guess it is as I've been coming to this office for about 10 yrs...Wow, is that possible?? I used to live in Mesa and would drive up north to see Dr. Warren, then Dr. Rowe when he took over. I love seeing all the staff when I come in. Everyone is very friendly and so personable and provide great customer service...something that I don't take lightly or take for granted as I'm in the customer service industry. I love my hygienist, Mary, and Dr. Rowe's assistant, Tami (she's my Girl ;-)). Dr. Rowe is not bad himself...Ha!
