A Must-Visit Gem in Vevay!!! Roxy's is exactly the kind of place that makes a small town trip unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, the vibe hit -- rich colors, vintage decor, great music, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and creatively alive. Roxy herself greeted us right at the door, and that personal touch set the tone for the entire visit. The menu has great range and something for everyone. I ordered one of the 'Roxy' cocktails and a cappuccino (hey, it's called BALANCE! ) , and both were genuinely delicious -- handcrafted and thoughtfully made. For food, we went with the 'Farm-Flat' (aka Eloté) flatbread and a turkey pesto sandwich, and they were amazing. Presentation was beautiful, the flavors were on point, and the portions were so generous that we walked out with leftover flatbread (fair warning -- come hungry or plan to take some home). What really elevated the experience was the hospitality. Our food came out quickly, the staff was warm and attentive, and Roxy took the time to chat with us about local events and what makes Vevay such a special place to visit and live. Okay I am going to preface this review with the opinion that I do not think they should be rated this low but on this day they were. This was my first time in Roxy's and it was a Saturday at about 1:30. This particular Saturday the Kat Von D black tulip field down the street was nearing the end of its life. This town was bustling with people. I walked into Roxy's and stood in the doorway not quite knowing what to do, do you wait for someone to greet you here? Still not sure about that but finally I saw a couple seats at a high top next to the bar and I walked over and sat down. The inside of the restaurant was full and the outdoor patio was filling up as well. I was right next to the bar so the bartender was right behind me and waitresses were right behind me constantly. It still took almost 20 minutes just to get a menu, as a matter of fact we did not get a menu until the waitress came over to take our order and we said we do not have a menu. My girlfriend and I decided on a flatbread to split and some truffle fries to split. We ordered our cocktails, she had The Roxy and I ordered the Carajillo. We went to order when she brought our cocktails back and she said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, we cannot do flatbreads because the dough is not ready and we are out of the soup." So we did not want her to get away so we quickly decided on something else. My friend ordered a roast beef sandwich and I stuck with the truffle fries. The place is cute on the inside and it was clean. We received our food and the food was enjoyable, my fries were hot and crisp with a lovely lemon aioli on the side for dipping and my friend said her sandwich was good. It was a really good thing we were not in a big hurry. We will be making more trips to Vevay as very soon Kat Von D is opening a new clothing shop and we want to go to see it. We may return to give Roxy's another try when the staff is not completely overwhelmed. read more

Great first experience at Roxy's! Ended up treating some clients to lunch with take out and sampled all their flatbread options. Roxy told me a little history about the building and all the different types of businesses that have occupied this space prior. After visiting, I think all the former business owners would give their seal of approval for what she's created inside this beautiful building in downtown Vevay. Roxy's in Vevay was a very nice experience. The food was absolutely fantastic the service was subpar. When we walked in it was about 6:15pm on a Saturday night. They were not completely full when we got there but after we sat down more and more people tried to come. While we waited for someone to come take our drink order we counted about 15 couples leave that couldn't find a seat and we saw a couple leave after they finished their drinks before they paid, we saw a couple leave after they paid but didn't finish their drinks and we saw a 4 top leave without ordering. Someone finally came over and took our order, my alcohol was the correct brand but wrong one I drink she did offer to o my charge us for a single as that was her mistake. Once we were at the bar service got better and another employee had gotten called in. We finally put our food order in and that took about 30 to 45 mins before we got it. But once we did it was fantastic. We order the three meat flatbread which came out piping hot and was delicious. That comes with pepperoni and bacon and prosciutto. Next we ordered the buffalo wings which were very good but we could tell had been sitting there waiting for our flatbread and our fries to get done. Last thing we ordered was a small truffle, those also came out piping hot and were to die for. Overall a very good place, lacking in service for such a small place. We would like to come back and try hopefully on a day that isn't too busy. Also the women's bathroom was a tad dark either need more lights or the current bulb just needs to be changed out. read more

This is a great place! They have delicious food. It's very clean inside and worth a visit.

Today three of us ladies went in to have lunch, which ended up being dinner by the time we FIANLLY got our appetizer and meals. We sat outside on the patio as the inside was full. We had our drink and app order taken at 2:35pm, by 3:32pm we had only received our sodas and water, which were watered down and needing refilled as it was 84 degrees outside. After asking two different staff members for fresh drinks and about where our pretzels were, we were not attended to for another 21min. At that point we were told by the waitress that the kitchen was "really busy" and that she would check to see where we were in the order of orders. We observed MANY other tables experiencing similar problems to ours. After two hours and seven min we finally received our appetizer! Quickly followed by our flatbread pizzas within min of the long overdue pretzels with stiff cheese sauce. two of the three were okay, but one of the flatbreads was completely inedible. After eating a bit of our food, except the one that was gross, we had to ask many times for a box for the two decent flatbreads and about the check. We ended up leaving money for our meals on the table and one gal had to go inside to the bar to attempt to pay only to be told "I guess we'll try to figure out how to do this." We also witnessed, at the table next to us, a mom and her three children waiting the same amount of time as we did, as all sat down at the same time. After only receiving drinks and their pretzel appetizer (after over an hour as well) the mom had asked two or three times how long it might be for their meals. We witnessed what we can only assume was the owner come to her table in a very rude manner accusing her of being hostile to the server, which she absolutely was not at all. The woman then proceeded to get rude with the mom and cursed at her with her children sitting right there. It was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for! She also told the mom and children that they would not be getting the food that they had waited over two hours for because she had cancelled the order as it was about to go in the oven and they would not be receiving anything else. We were completely blown away by the approach and demeanor shown to the customers. My friend was told by the bartender who attempted to cash her out that "if or when we return that they would make up for what happened today." Seriously? Who would want to return and subject themselves to another wasted 2.5 hours of waiting for mediocre food? Not one person ,that we observed, was offered any sort of apologies, nor discount or even a make it right attempt for all of the messiness that took place in the just under three hour we spent "sitting" and "waiting" for what was our hope for a nice lunch together. After a long day of searching for land and properties in the Madison/Vevay area, Roxy's provided an exceptional experience and divine gastronomy! Think Victorian, homemade dough, quirky small town vibes. And I'm here for it! I'm talking fresh ingredients, homemade dough, and wood fired pizza. Our meal started with the Margherita and ended with Three Cheese wood fired pizza. Homemade dough, fresh ingredients, herbs - who knew my love language could be found outside of the city? As an herbalist and urban herbal farmer, I was ecstatic to consume the Juniper Tonic. A heavenly libation without booze - a must! Our next libation was the Bees Knees. As a beekeeper, one knows clean honey from manipulsted honey. And this is clean honey, honey! Service is top-notch and like chatting with a pal! We've been in a never-ending search for a small town feel outside of Louisville. Vevay delivers just that! And now they have local gastronomy to the mix. Local cusine is what we will miss when leaving Louisville. So, a nearby growing city with a new restaurant is just what we like to see! Experiences like we had at Roxy's make us feel at home and whst encouraged us to look more in the Vevay area for wooded acres (cause mama's gotta restore a forest through wildlife Rehabilitation and open an herb farm - no big deal ;) Epically grateful that we bypassed our favorite spots in Madison, when we noticed a new to us spot in Vevay!
