A little chaotic as mentioned in other reviews. 2 entrance doors with people coming in from both directions and the line to order was a mess. The "hostess" told us our table number and said we could wait in line or sit down to look at the menus [which cause us to loose our place in line]. Had to pay when ordering [and tip, which is hard to judge what kind of service you're going to get]. Once we finally made through the line and order - the food was ok. The glazed pork chop was pretty good. The chicken salad tasted like a plastic bag and the chicken was small squares that were just ok along with average ranch dressing. Going to a restaurant in the middle of nowhere isn't always a great time. On this trip I was pleasantly surprised! You order once walking inside and they bring the food to you. There seems to be a regular crowd that loves the food and service. Can't recommend the place enough! The inside is super welcoming and has great choices. Small, very casual and unassuming little cafe. But wow is the food great! A line out the door lets you know this is the place to be! Friendly service and really great food!! Plan to wait for a table if you visit during a busy time, but they move people through as quickly as they can. Plan to order at the counter and then you can move to your assigned table location. We just ate here for the first time early this past summer and have came back 2 more times with family. It is so good! I've tried the meatloaf, the catfish and the sirloin tips and all are fantastic! went on Fri night, walked in by myself; it was chaotic-some people were seated, some standing w/ menu in hand, some at cashier but no one greeted people & no signs to explain you have to put your name in, then pick out your meal from the menu & pay for it then wait for a table & they bring your food out. Server doesn't stop to ask if you need anything or bring refills. Slaw was good, but bourbon glaze meatloaf lacked flavor & could not taste the little glaze that was on it & red skinned potatoes not seasoned, I did not enjoy any part of my meal,not returning . I've definitely posted on Jewel's previously but Yelp is asking for another & Jewel's is phenomenal sooooo... BEST SHRIMP & GRITS ANYWHERE ON EARTH. I like to try different things but cannot bring myself to get anything other than the SnGrits...and I am not a grits fan. The shrimp app is phenomenal as well. Everything is good I am sure. Ambience is a little odd for such fine-dining food = it's like an old smorgasbord feel; order your food in line then they bring it to you. Very nice little restaurant, food was good. Two entrees and appetizer and drinks was @$50 felt very satisfied with that price point. I had hot brown very well made and presented. Companion had ribeye and red potatoes, well cooked and nice quality for not a steakhouse. Neighboring table had the fish again looked good. The fried green tomatoes were a good portion and came with a Thai chili sauce. Never had that combo before but it freaking works. Staff was nice and very polite. Service was excellent. The setup was a little odd, you come in and get in line. Host gives you a table number and you order and pay at the counter. After that your food is delivered to the table and service is as you would expect. Not complaining just never seen it done that way. It works for them and the line moved quickly. My husband and I heard about Jewell's on Main from a couple of his co-workers, and decided to give them a try. So glad we did! It's a hidden gem in the heart of Warsaw, KY. It's got a down home, quaint feel. And, if you want home cooking in a restaurant atmosphere, this is definitely the place! Everything is scratch made. We started with the fried green tomatoes. The thick slices had a thin, crispy coating but, soft, delicate, and juicy on the inside. It came with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. We also got a bowl of both beef vegetable soup and cheddar broccoli. The beef vegetable was super hearty for a cold day. It was loaded with tender chunks of beef, green beans, potatoes, corn, carrots, peas, onions, and cabbage in a rich broth. The cheddar broccoli was smooth and creamy with broccoli bits in every bite. Both were fantastic. I ordered the cornmeal breaded frog legs with 3 cheese grits and southern green beans. The frog legs were phenomenal. The best I've ever had, and I've had a lot. They were lightly breaded, and fried to a perfect crisp. The meat was moist and juicy, and fell right off the bone when you pulled them apart. They were served with sweet chili mayo. The grits were fluffy and cheesy, not dry or mealy. The green beans were seasoned so perfectly, and cooked soft, not crunchy or soggy. My husband ordered the trout with sauteed baby spinach and green beans. The trout was flaky and delicious, and covered in a bourbon pecan butter that paired so well with it. The spinach was tender, and so buttery. I highly recommend a trip to Warsaw just for the chance to eat at Jewell's! It will not disappoint! read more

Service was good for the kind of restaurant is since you order at the register and then go sit down and if you're gonna tip if you're supposed to do it when you pay so you pay upfront, I'm not a big fan of that. I was really looking forward to the beef medallions, but I have to say mine were extremely tough. It was obvious it was not fillet. It was just like pieces of maybe a top sirloin roast or something and it was nowhere near done. I had ordered medium to medium well and it was definitely medium rare But I didn't complain about anything cause I didn't really need to. I just was not pleased with my meal like I was hoping to be by the other reviews and then I got back to my trailer and I'm down there for the weekend about an hour after I got back I got extremely sick Now I'm not contributing that necessarily to the food, but it was just odd because it came out of nowhere so there have been so many recalls on Food but of course it takes till after people start getting sick before anybody realizes it maybe that's what happened or maybe I just had a bug read more

Someone from town said this was the place to go for some great food, and I like great food! So obviously, I had to try! The menu has a variety of different options for good prices. I got the Herb Grilled Chicken topped with portobello mushrooms with sauté veggies and rice for my sides. My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles that came with a side of syrup and butter. I'm gonna make a semi-bold statement that I have never uttered on Yelp: This might be my favorite restaurant ever - anywhere, anytime, any cuisine! We discovered it during our three visits to the Kentucky Motor Speedway and loved it so much that we ate every dinner there for four nights. Not that there were many options in this small town of Warsaw; however, even if there were, we'd still be at Jewells! The food is fabulous, affordable and plentiful. The service is friendly and attentive. The dining area is comfortable and visually appealing, particularly the original wooden floors. Can you tell I'm excited? Run by a local chef who returned to his home town after life in the big city, interesting entrees and sides are served up daily for lunch and dinner. My group of four's favorite was the Bourbon Beef Medallions, a generous beef tenderloin tail cut into slices, with two great sides for, are you kidding me, $15?! The Shrimp and Grits $11 are also excellent as is the Grilled Pork Tenderloin $12. They even serve Fried Frog Legs $10. Oh, and did I mention the Glazed Salmon? Just throw a dart at the menu, you can't go wrong. Salads are fresh. All sides are made in-house. Burgers and sandwiches are exceptional. Desserts are darn good too. All this in Warsaw, Kentucky a block across from the Ohio river! I expect to see it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives eventually but in the meantime, if you're within an hour of the place, it's a Gotta Try! read more

I've been every weekend for the last 2 months while I travel for work. The food is great, the energy is warm & I've yet to not love every morsel I've eaten & every genuine joke or conversation with the front & back of the house. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is likely the best restaurant in Warsaw. My favorite part are the original hardwood floors! The restaurant is in a turn of the century house, right across from the Gallatin County Courthouse which adds to the atmosphere. We went there while attending a Peony Festival at the square across the road, so it the restaurant was packed. We ordered at the counter and had a seat (not sure if this is always the protocol or just because it was so busy) We started off with the queso and chips which is just like the white queso in all of the Mexican restaurants (so it was good!) We each had a salad that was plenty filling. Overall - I'd be back .... They also serve beer and wine ;-) read more
