Everything else worked, but there was no warm air, so nothing was drying. A new dryer would cost a chunk, and that's even if I could find one in stock someplace. Created a claim over three weeks ago. What a mess. The tech told us to put our freezer on -4 and the ice-maker will work. Days later our freezer is completely frozen over. What a mess. More than likely this froze the fan and the noise was horrible. Every time I share with the company. They give me a canned response. Same Tech comes out and replaces our ice maker and takes off. He didn't turn the ice-maker back on. He took off. My husband turned it on and the ice-maker still not working. Canned responses again. I'll find someone else. Response to owner: Royal Appliance Parts & Service, Inc. Proof is in the pudding. You told me you only had one tech for the area. I called the warranty company and they called you while I was on the phone and your company confirmed that there wasn't anyone else to assist. Warranty company sent us a new company and wahhlahhhh! If there was 1/2 a star I would probably think again! The company got recommended by the insikerator folks so we signed up for them to install our Garbage Disposal. The job wasn't done correctly so they sent the SAME technician to make sure that its done right not a supervisor. A few months went by and the Garbage disposal was suddenly dropped inside under the sink. They were called again and they charged us 90 trip charge + labor to reinstall it!!! At this point I'm estimating to be out another 170 bucks and asked the technician, who was a senior technincian, what warranty do I have if this get done right the third time? To this he was nice enough to remove the labor and I am down to 90 bucks. When I called the office to clarify the warranty, I was transferred to the office manager who RUDELY summarized that we are no longer going to work on your home as I refused to pay for labor, well that about sums it up! I will no longer be using you guys and for those reading so far, please think about TASK RABBIT app. Much better luck and possible a licensed plumber that can help with the task, not these jokers! read more

If you need repair service for an LG appliance, I hope you have a better experience than I did. Our expensive LG refrigerator that is less than 2 years old stopped working. They told me that wouldn't be able to even get to it for a week. Ridiculous. Their customer service representative was very unprofessional. They canceled the warranty case without telling us also. Be prepared to be treated like you don't matter from this disreputable company. Lastly, under no circumstances should you express frustration that your multi-thousand dollar appliance doesn't work or that you don't want to be without a refrigerator for a week, they'll take it personally and make sure you don't get service. read more

I felt like I was ripped off! On March 1, 2023, Jon came to service my upright freezer. He opened freezer door, took off interior covering and determined it wasn't salvageable. He said it would cost $1,900 to repair. I paid his service fee of $89 + taxes and he left. Subsequent to RAPS, according to another repairman, my upright freezer only needed freon. The repairman conducted a thorough inspection by looking @ the back of my freezer, removing parts both internal & external and putting freon in! Beware of RAPS! read more

UPDATE: The business replied to this review over 3 years after I posted it. My response to their response is simple. How do you not know how much you charge for labor to replace a rotor assembly? That's all I wanted to know. I stand by my comment that they have shady business practices. I have a 7-year old washing machine that needs a new rotor assembly. The part is covered under LG's 10-year warranty, but the labor is not. Royal Appliance told me they could not give me a labor cost to replace it unless they came out and I was charged their $100 diagnostic and trip fee. I already knew what the problem was, but LG will only send the part to their warranty centers so I wanted to find out what their labor charge is to replace it. Considering I can get a new washing machine for just over $700, I don't want to pay $400 for a repair on a 7-year old machine. They actually said no one knows the labor charge except the technicians. Don't know where all these bad reviews are coming from, but my experience with them was excellent. Had a problem with our LG Fridge Ice/Water Dispenser dispensing continuously, causing a huge mess of ice and water on the floor of the kitchen. The fridge's one year part and labor warranty had expired. Called Royal Appliance on Friday, April 24th and set up a repair appointment for today. Technician, Dannel C., arrived just after 9am (Our appointment window was between 9am-noon). Proceeded to check our fridge by disassembling the front panel and found a faulty micro switch, which was replaced and everything assembled back together. He even took the time to make sure everything worked before leaving. Dannel was very friendly, professional and not to mention knowledgeable. He found the problem with the fridge and repaired it. Price seemed a little high, but worth it for the service I received for an out of warranty repair. read more

I don't get how they have bad reviews. I'm a huge reviewer too! I initially was scared because of the yelp reviews but didn't have a choice as LG warranty only had 2 companies to choose from in my area. It took them 3 days to come check out my job working fridge, and a week to get the park and come back to install. Total of around 2 weeks. Being that It was due to my warranty people taking a long time to approve the process, it's not Royals fault. Curtis is the best technician by far. I hope they never lose him. He was so professional and kind. Very prompt and kept to himself while I dealt with my kids in the house. He cleaned up after himself and explained what he was doing. He came out both times thank God. He's great. He was exactly right with what was wrong with my fridge. I would recommend for sure. They didn't ask or know that I was posting a review on them. Charged $108 for warranty call; LG said there should be no charge. Service person sent was very good, saw the shipping damage and concluded it would not be repairable. Then charged for LG authorized warranty evaluation. I called LG and they stated they should not have charged anything. Beware of this company over charging for the service. Called for service, was told that Royal don't apply your diagnostic fee to the repair bill because of their great labor rates which is false. The repair cost was $300 labor for 45 minutes of work. Gave them a call politely letting them know I was overcharged they didn't care, Courtney told me to have a nice day. Our LG refrigerator stopped working, so we called Royal Appliances and they were super responsive, they worked with LG to get the parts and to cover some of the labor and did an amazing job fixing it. If I had a choice, I would give Royal Appliance zero stars. Before I get into details, let me just say that the receptionists are amazing and very professional. I had my wall oven stop working after I tried the self cleaning option for the first time. Called my extended warranty and they send Royal Appliance. The first time the technician believed the fuse needed to be replaced. He said that I should have cancelled the cleaning halfway during the cleaning instead of allowing to clean for 4 hours. Are you serious?! Are you blaming me for the oven self destructing? Needless to say he returned to replace the fuse and the oven still did not work. He said the panel was malfunctioning and contacted the extended warranty company and made up stories that I ruined the oven. My extended warranty company declined the claim and now I'm stuck with an oven that is no longer working. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Extremely happy with the service and response from Royal Appliance. Our stand alone freezer was not cooling correctly- top half was not cooling while bottom remained frozen. The girl on the phone took down all the pertinent information and was able to send a repair tech out two days later. The service tech called 30 minutes prior to arrival to say he was on his way. When he arrived he was following COVID protocol, wearing a mask, gloves and maintaining social distance. As he repaired and freezer and replaced the part he explained what he was doing to my husband. He got it fixed quickly and had the right tools, thanks to the efficient questions that were asked in the original call for help. I'm not sure why they have such a low rating, but we had them out to repair an LG refrigerator that cost over 3k at Lowe's. They came out on time and found the compressor locked up. Although the compressor was under warranty, it still cost us almost $900. For labor, refrigerant, and a dryer. Little steep. They did a good job and it's been working great every since. read more

I waited several days to have a dishwasher repaired by Royal Appliance I guess this must be case thinking that Royal Appliance must only have one tech; plus Royal Appliance stated they only has one tech and this Royal Appliance tech would not be in the area for a few days. "DAYS!!!" A Royal Appliance tech was finally scheduled later in the day after a few phone calls and texts with pictures of the dishwasher issue. I was given a date with a window of 3 hours that was 1pm to 4pm. The Royal Appliance tech finally arrived around 3:30pm. Left me missing a half day of paid work while waiting for the Royal Appliance tech to show. The Royal Appliance tech did the repair; well sort of? It was later discovered when my wife came home hours after the Royal Appliance tech had left. My wife tried to turn on the dishwasher but she discovered there was no power on the dishwasher. I guess Royal Appliance does not have their techs do any sort of diagnosis. When I called the next day about the dishwasher not working. I spoke with Courtney the manager of Royal Appliance; Courtney stated to me that all the Royal Appliance techs do a diagnosis after a repair is completed. I told Courtney of Royal Appliance she needs to do a much better job at managing because this Royal Appliance tech did not do any diagnosis of the dishwasher. Then the next morning at 8:00am I contacted Royal Appliance about the issue; I spoke with Courtney the manager (who needs better training to be a real manager and has no clue about customer service), who was about as helpful as the tech and a bit rude. Courtney was reluctant to give me her name or the person above her which Courtney finally said it is Becky LeBlanc who was not available due personal reasons. I did asked Courtney for her last name; she replied in a rude tone of voice (I am the only Courtney that works for Royal Appliance). So a last name was not given. All Courtney kept saying Royal Appliance will have the same Royal Appliance tech come out the next day not the same day when I called. Courtney said the Royal Appliance tech is in Magnolia and that he could not travel to where I lived which is not far from Magnolia. I guess Royal Appliance must be a one tech business not to have any additional techs to come out to redo a job that was not done correctly. Maybe not enough funds to pay for gas! Not great customer service from Royal Appliance to have a customer wait for a service that was not done correctly to begin with. Plus Courtney said it will be within a window of 3 hours but could not say if were to be in the morning or afternoon. As I spoke with Courtney of Royal Appliance at 8:00am; Courtney of Royal Appliance said someone will contact me later in the afternoon to schedule it with me. Then Courtney of Royal Appliance abruptly hung up on me (Nice customer service - NOT). I would not recommend Royal Appliance for any type of service; whether it be something under warranty or for any customer to pay out of their pocket. I also highly recommend for Royal Appliance to provide extension management and customer service training for Courtney if they feel Courtney is one to retain for their business or replace her. We purchased our warranty through Best Buy that means we are using Royal Appliance by default. We have been waiting for two weeks without a refrigerator. The repairman seems to be busy and the lady answering the phone makes it seem as if our refrigerator compressor being out isn't as important as her other clients. Yet they would not reveal that information to the manufacturer. Then when I called them they denied ever telling me my refrigerator was unrepairable. They fixed our LG refrigerator on 9-13-18 with 2 techs... They never fixed it as we threw out all the food as waited for parts and it worked for 10 days maybe and on 9-24-18 it shut down AGAIN... We called them to right their wrong and they said the ticket is closed out and that we had to go back to the manufacturer. They made 2 visits , ordered all new parts and installed them and it shut down again.... The refrigerator is less than 2 years old..an LG and the Loews's extended warranty/service advantage is an even bigger JOKE!!!!!!! they say it has break down 3 times in 30 days in order for them to replace it..DON OT USE ROYAL or GET ANY extended WARRANT service from LOWE"S.. read more

They showed up promptly, told me my $1000 clothes washer needed a new $1000 tub, gone in 10 minutes. Got a second opinion, $250 controller board.
