My experience with buying a car from this dealer fell way short of any experience I've had with any dealer ever, reputable or not. The car was purchased based on the word and description from the seller Saleem Alkatime. When I received the car not only was it not described inaccurately it honestly wasn't even road worthy. The car was downright dangerous. Having been in several prior accidents, none of which were disclosed to me, the problems and issue with the car, both mechanically and electrically, were endless. when I brought the issues to the attention of Saleem I was met with a rude, abrupt rejection of any compromise or consideration on the price of the vehicle. The car I speak of was a 2003 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG for the price of $24,900. I decided to sell the car immediately but this time it would have an honest description. Given that, I was only able to and was lucky to get $15,000 for the car. Months later I came across the person who purchased the car from me and even he couldnt resolve all of the issues with the vehicle. he then sold it again at a loss. Some of the issues that the car had so that you know what to look out for. Transmission pops out of gear on deceleration Previous undisclosed body work and accidents Heated seats didnt work Stereo - amp and speakers blown Suspension - Airbag suspension leaking and drops to the floor after 1 hour of sitting cracked foglamp intake screws missing 2 Cracked wheels that leak air slowly over time had to be replaced. aftermarket wheels with chrome chipping off but made to look original The list goes on and on and these guys didnt car at all and no intention of even making things right. His response was that it was my fault. Anything you can do to stay away from these guys will be effort well spent. 4 years later....... This has been a great vehicle and our purchase was a great deal. However, after servicing this car several times and knowing all of its flaws inside and out, I found frame damage on the passenger side of the vehicle behind the front bumper with a little bit of rust as well as a bad rear CV axle (thankfully the car was still under the B-B warranty and that was covered as well as a water pump failure). The front bumper was replaced at some point before I owned the vehicle and it concealed the damage. After a few months of cleaning the fresh detail started to ware off, I could see the different paint colors and different metallic coat to the bumper. Certified did a great job at cleaning this car up, because even I did not notice any of these things when I inspected the car. It has been a very reliable vehicle, but I just wish I would have known that this was damaged before I purchased. A little bit more honesty goes a long way in making customers feel safe. Take a good look at all the frame rails with a flashlight before you take delivery. You may find something unexpected that was not reported by the previous party. This car was listed at a great price and I should have known to look for something that was out of place. I learned my lesson. I had just recently lost my only vehicle that I had running and spent 2 whole weeks searching over what seemed like a million different places with a million different cars. Finally I had found my dream car, my Honda Civic. I found it through cars guru with their site attached. I did my own research on the vehicle but had called to make sure everything was legit. After doing extensive research trying to find the best deal I could get for a small compact commuter car, I came across Certified Auto Sales. I was hesitant at first because of the prior reviews but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I spoke to Nick over the phone and asked about the cars they had on the lot. I decided to head out there and see what they had in person. They had a variety of cars, I initially went in looking at an 05 Corolla. But ended up going with a 00 Chevy Tracker that had lower miles and only one previous owner. I have been shopping at this place for years, even when it was called "Winston Tires". years ago. I have gotten most of my familys tires here, to this day. Recently as of 06/30/2010, I went in to replace a tire that was damaged on the freeway, that day. I was not pleased that I was being charged more for a replacement tire (under warranty) , than I paid for the original one. The manager (Juan) did not like that I was on the phone complaining about it to my friend, so he became irrate and called the police on me. He was rude, and confrontational, and I encourage all not to do business here, under the present management. Easily one of the best car purchase experiences I have ever had! First of all, I have never experienced a used car dealership with a complete auto repair shop on site. Any small detail that required fixing, they took care of right away. I was looking for a particular car (Honda Accord) and Nick took great care that it had the features I wanted. There were some issues with the car that Nick noted before I did and promised to take car of it. It was the right car at the right price and John and Luna made the paperwork easy. This place is very trustworthy. I am shocked by the reviews prior to mine. I purchased my Toyota Prius from John a year ago and for every maintenance issue I always come back to Sal to get it worked on. They change my oil using synthetic oil for me and charge me a very reasonable price, and I recently just got tires from Sal where he also aligned my car and washed it before giving it back to me.
