Absolutely fantastic service! My cousin and I happened to walk past because we thought they were closed but they welcomed us in and helped us out immediately (: we actually happened to meet the owners and let me tell you they were some of the sweetest and most humble people!! They have a variety of pastries and sweets and it's honestly *chef's kiss*. This was my first time having a date and it was delicious . 10/10 experience and I will most definitely be coming back. They were so friendly and kind pelase check them out (:

Love this bakery! Everything is so fresh and delicious. All their savory items are so unique in flavor! I haven't had anything similar in the valley.

Have you guys tried Kaymak? So delicious! Put this on the bread with honey. Just buy as the lady tells you to buy. Two bread and honey and one kaymak. But we are going to buy two more breads. I've always wanted to try kaymak before, and it was even much better than I expected. Even there breads are so soft and tasty. I wish this place opens in orange county or even in Koreatown in LA. I drove for about an hour and 40min to get here, but no regret.

Introduction: My friend and I stumbled upon this establishment while trying to find something else. Upon seeing their baklava and bread offerings, we decided to pay this place a visit despite living thirty-five miles away. Food: Baklava When here one has to get their baklava; their baklava is the best I've had in Los Angeles. Usually, baklavas at other eateries tend to be stale or bland in taste. At Royal Pastry however, the baklava is fresh and vibrant in its flavors. The filo pastry bears good substance, the chopped walnuts or pistachios inside are delectable, and one can taste the cleanness and purity of the honey that's drizzled throughout the baklava [at other places often times cheap syrup, rather than honey, is drizzled on the baklava. It tastes very different]. As one takes a bite out of the baklava, the layered filo pastry, honey, and chopped walnuts becomes a triple threat of deliciousness that makes one reminiscence about the baklava after consumption. Ambiance: Casual Service: The proprietor is patient, polite, and friendly. Price: Affordable.

I've had some good bakery items from this business but do not buy a Tiramisu cake from here. "Tiramisu is a coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa." This "tiramisu" is whipped cream and cocoa powder with lady fingers. This is NOT tiramisu. This cake is inedible, cheap, and going straight into the trash. No mascarpone to be found. Straight garbage. AVOID ENTIRELY. Ruined the birthday. Thanks.

"Tiramisu Cake $37" row of dry lady fingers surrounding the largest glob of whipped cream I've ever seen. Never again.

If you want hands down the worst Tiramisu ever made (pretty sure the FDA wouldn't allow this to be classified as one), come to Royal Bakery! If you want to roll the dice on a cake order, come to Royal Bakery! You know what offends me more than a $37 dump of dry lady fingers surrounding a pile of WHIPPED CREAM dusted in chocolate powder? The fact that when you walk into a bakery, you figure that at the very least, they know how to BAKE A CAKE. Nope. Not here. It's difficult to communicate in words how disappointing this cake was. I eat cake. I love cake. I couldn't eat this cake. It was not a cake. I don't have a problem with them being good at making those round Turkish bagels and that being their star dish. But if that's the case, CHANGE THE NAME OF YOUR SHOP! Call it "Round Turkish Hollow Bagel Shop" and then I won't be fooled by the BAKERY sign and won't order a birthday cake. I don't go around calling myself surgeon, because I'm not, and trust me, YOU DON'T WANT ME OPERATING ON YOU! So don't fool me with your inaccurate signage! Altho apparently, I can probably open up a bakery and do juuuuust fine.

Adorable mom and pop shop located in heart of Granada hills. Fast and efficient service with great tasting options of baked items. Highly recommended!!

Kaymak (clotted cream) & bal (honey)

Just went to Royal Bakery for the first time after discovering it on Yelp. My Turkish husband was feeling homesick and hasn't had authentic Turkish eats in forever, so we hopped in the car and went immediately. I walked in and probably went a little crazy ("Four of THESE, one of THAT, two of THOSE, don't know what that is but I'll take two, please!") Standouts: -plain simit- excellent and fresh, crusty seeded outside, chewy and soft inside, exactly how you want your simit to be -kaymak- I have looked high and low for kaymak in LA and thrilled to have found it here! For those who don't know: kaymak is clotted cream. It isn't popular in America but very big in Turkey and also England, actually. I read a few reviews here that said it was like cheese w no flavor. It isn't cheese, so don't expect it to taste like cheese! It's like butter but in cream form. Get it with bal (aka honey). Spread the kaymak on your simit- drizzle with honey- it's the only way IMO! -burek- baked cheesey dough. It's noodley, it's cheesey, it's buttery. Nothing not to love! Their burek was excellent. -baklava- it's hard to find a good one in LA. This baklava is great, a total winner. We only got the pistachio, did not try the walnut. Personally would not repurchase: -simit stuff with pastirma (meat) and cheese- the meat inside (pastirma) is kindof like a salami or soppressata texture but it is beef, not pork. It is naturally a very salty meat, I had never tasted it before. It was a bit too salty for my personal liking, however my husband loved it. So if you like cheese and salty meat, this is for you! A woman (I think the owner?) was very sweet and helpful. She gave our dog a cookie on the way out so our dog is now a fan, too. Turkish husband is in such a good mood now after having some authentic eats to remind him of the motherland!

Parking is pretty difficult, and valet is $5. I can easily see the parking lot getting gridlocked on a busy day. I sampled a few of their gelato flavors, including the jasmine lychee and soy sauce. Both were okay, but I just wasn't in the mood for either of them today. I ended up getting the Pandan Toast to try. The pandan flavor was really good--not too grassy and didn't taste too artificial. The ice cream also had a buttery taste to it. It might have been from the toast, but I'm not too sure. The bread itself wasn't oily, which was nice, but it was kind of dry. The pandan sauce definitely helped make it easier to eat. I probably wouldn't eat the bread by itself though because it was super hard and didn't really have much flavor. I wasn't sure what to expect from the toast, but it wasn't quite what I expected. I originally wanted to try the mango sticky rice flavored shaved ice because it looked really good in the photos, but unfortunately they didn't have it today. I'd come back to try their shaved ice when mango is in season again!
