A very solid diner style breakfast spot with plenty to choose from. The young man who was my server was super-pleasant and efficient...kept my coffee cup filled and brought me a few "extras" as I needed them. Seems like this is a heavily local crowd as the staff seemed to know many of folks who came through the door. Everything on my plate was cooked just as I asked for. I had the corned beef hash and eggs platter along with wheat toast. Nothing fancy or special, but all items were tasty and filling for a very reasonable price. Stopped in bc they were one of the very few that were still serving breakfast after 2pm. It's just your average diner but the food was really good. The grilled cheese was your normal grilled cheese but ONG a good diner grilled cheese is top notch! My boys tore up their pancakes. I have the Philly and it was dry but still good. My husband got a breakfast sandwich and it was also deeelish! (Crispy bacon was perfect!!!!) Service was also really good. Our waitress was attentive and quick. She got into a little tiff with another table and aired some dirty laundry but she was good to us. Again, this is nothing fancy but it has good diner food and plenty of seating for our big family. Haven't been here in a while. Had breakfast. Still the same great food. My favorite is the Old Fashioned--two eggs, bacon or sausage, two slices of toast, a generous portion of hash potatoes. Love it. They've gone to disposable cups, plates and utensils which is a little disappointing, but the food is very, very good and reasonably priced. Recommended! read more

Fantastic find. Quick, good food, clean. Came in for lunch on a Tuesday. Had the Turkey triple decker BLT with a cup of soup. The soup of the day was cream of chicken. Only mistake I made was getting a cup rather than a bowl. It was outstanding. Very hot, great flavor, and pretty simple. The BLT was nothing special, but came out as expected. Mayo on the bread was good. With a glass of water, the agile check was $6.64. Service was quick and friendly. Lots of regulars here, which tells you something. If you get a booth in the corner next to the old timers, you might leave learning a few things :-) Four stars for food and service, 5 stars for value. read more

I was greeted nicely and promptly upon entering and invited to take a seat anywhere. This place could really use some updating, but the food and service were great. I ordered the omelet with all the meat and it came with potatoes and toast. I will definitely return if in the area. read more

The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars and not one was because our service was very nice and the food was good. BUT there was a mouse in the restaurant. And when there's one, there's likely many somewhere nearby. That freaked me out way too much. Also, the service was very slow and it wasn't that busy at all. So I wouldn't recommend going here. This place Potato Soup is 5 stars. You can only get it on Saturdays. It's like crack (I never tried crack in my life) but if I did, I would assume the feeling is like that. All their food is cheap and service is friendly. They take credit too. Again, I post this for every small diner and it's mainly the reason why they don't have 5 stars. U Please read below: No frills type of place. It's what you call a greasy spoon. You can't go wrong if you know what you're in for. Your bill should never be over $12, unless you leaving a 30% tip. I never order their orange juice it's high as F%*%*% and it's not the calcium kind. Not sure but it could be Reiters orange juice (just saying). Just stick to water. Cleveland sure had a lot of great breakfast places when I lived there. Sadly, The Big Egg is gone, and many of the other places that were great I can't remember the names of, but I do remember Mom's quite fondly. It's your standard Sunday-morning breakfast fare, except they serve it every day of the week. Expect to wait for a table on weekends, but the wait won't be long, and the service is good. I don't like writing a poor review for a local place. I'd been here before off-and-on through the years and thought it was fine back then-- perhaps the ownership has changed? I stopped in on an early Friday afternoon with a hankering for breakfast. Hardly anyone was there, so I thought it would be quick! On the contrary, lots of awkward waiting around... first to get seated, second to order, and finally to pay... it seemed that only the owner is permitted to operate the cash register and they had to find him-- it all seemed a bit odd. Furthermore, maybe it was the waiting and I had time to look around, but the place seemed dingier than I remembered it. Everything smelled of frying oil, including myself after I left... and worst of all, the omelette seemed under-done. I will say the coffee refills kept coming, so it wasn't all bad, but overall things seemed mostly amiss. read more

Requested a side of gyro sauce for dipping - - it was homemade, garlicky goodness. Interior is a bit sketchy. Big chunks of upholstery/foam were missing on the back supports of the booths. The quality of the food is really good but the service that I continuously receive from the woman that works at the register she's there almost every day is horrible .... I understand that sometimes people have a bad day, but on numerous occasions when I go into this restaurant she always have a snotty attitude ..The only reason I've only gone back to this restaurant is because they have good prices and it's convenient because it is close to my job.. I called in the order once before and my order was prepared incorrectly and she put words in my mouth telling me what I ordered contrary to what I said ... when I told her my order was incorrect she repeatedly told me that's what I ordered .
