    Double Burger and fries
    Gus W.

This truck is in the Sunoco parking lot at the corner of King Ave. and Gerard Ave, and it's only been there a couple of weeks now. I actually stopped in here, because there was some kind of Colombian or Caribbean truck here before, and I wanted to try it out. It turns out Royal Burger will be here 7 days a week now until 10 pm at night, 9 pm on Sundays. I figured I'd give them a shot. I ended up ordering the double burger with fries as well as a gyro by recommendation of the guy at the window. It was definitely too much food, but as usual, I try to get multiple items on my first go. They're making the burgers with fresh meat, so it takes about 10 minutes or so to get your food, but it's worth it. The burger is HUGE. Between the burger and the gyro, I could barely finish the meal. The burger was the better of the two and much larger than your typical diner or normal restaurant burger, and the fries that came with it were seasoned with something addictive. I couldn't stop eating it. The gyro was solid, and I liked the sauce, but it didn't blow me away. Most of the items here are comfort food like chicken wings, tenders, and fried catfish. There's obviously some Middle Eastern influence, so you'll see chicken and rice and lamb and rice on the menu that I've heard was pretty good. It's pretty close to me, so I'll definitely be back to check out some more dishes and get that burger and fries again.

Double Cheesburger sans the cheese. It was delicious.

The burgers are pretty good, nothing special but the size of the burger is pretty good for the price, I'm definitely coming back!

Great food options. I personally love the catfish. Never too bad of a wait either. Worth trying their food.

I've had all of the well known and famous burgers in Columbus -- this is better than all of those. It is the best hamburger in Cbus by far.

This is the best food truck on the westside, and the best burger in Columbus for my money.

I ordered cheese fries deconstructed because my daughter was unsure if she'd like the chili and cheese sauce and wanted to try them separate before adding to her fries. We found a blonde hair on a fry that had been dipped in the cheese sauce but couldn't identify if it was from the fry or cheese. I brought it to the attention of Cat who took the contaminated fry from my hand and in a very snarky tone said "I guess I can throw it away" I said "I didn't bring it to your attention for you to throw it away both the fry and sauce needs replaced please" she proceeded to walk off and huff. Fries were brought back with the cheese covering them ... which is not how she took away both the fries and the cheese. I ordered the pastrami bacon burger double which was missing the onion. The pastrami bacon was the highlight to my sandwich for sure! My daughter ordered the single classic burger which she says was fine. I haven't tried the banana jam banana pudding yet but I also ordered that as well. The kitchen staff were loud, someone in the kitchen questioned me with an attitude insinuating I was attempting to get a refund when in all actuality I was asking for my receipt. I would never recommend this establishment based on the behavior and attitude of its employees!

Kind, personable, and genuinely warm exactly the kind of energy that makes a meal feel like more than just a meal. If you've seen The Menu, you know that scene where all anyone really wants is just a perfect, unpretentious burger done right. Thurman's is exactly that. The burger was everything it needed to be no gimmicks, no shortcuts, just a beautifully made sandwich that delivers on every level. The fries? Equally on point. Honestly, I have no notes. None. This is the kind of place that reminds you why simple food, done exceptionally well, will always win. If you haven't been, go. If you have, you already know.

The beauty of a Saturday afternoon is there were sports on and TVs hanging on the walls. That made the wait easy. Boy do they know their stuff bc it was pretty much one hour to the minute when they called our name and escorted us to our table. We sat in a booth and took in on the collection of various items around the bar that have been gathered through the years and had some laughs at some of it. It was almost like a fun game of eye spy! They came to take our drink order and by the time they returned we were ready to order. We chatted for a bit and our food came out in what seemed to be a good time. I ordered the Patty Melt with onion straws. My husband got the Thurman Burger. We were surprised by its size when they came carrying it out to our table. Believe it or not he ate every single bite. Said it was delicious. Mine was equally as delicious. Maybe not quite as big but that was fine by me. I actually quite enjoyed that they served the 1000 island on the side. It made it way easier to eat. The cheese was nice and gooey. Just perfect. The onion straws were good too. I shared those with my husband. They were actually just as good on their own as they were dipped in any kind of sauce. That's big coming from me bc I love dipping! We got a box for our leftovers and headed out happy with a great first time experience here.

Wanting wings, I ordered the Garlic Parmesan and tots. They offer grilled or fried and I thought I ordered fried but these tasted more like grilled. I was wanting that fried crunch but got more of a well cooked bite with a creamy garlic white sauce, then sprinkled with Parmesan. It was still good but when you're expecting crunch, it's slightly disappointing. Still a good wing but I wouldn't put it in the top 5. The tots, now they made up for the crunch. The Blue Cheese was exactly what I like, sweeter with a little funk. Maybe I should've specified fried. Wings are an indulgence to me. I don't want the healthy version. I want that crunchy-Lipitor sponsored-defibrillator on stand by-I can see my blood flowing-We'll start the diet Monday goodness that only a perfectly fried wing can offer. Still good tho.

No exaggeration, this was one of the best chicken Parmesans I've ever had, and that includes versions from legit Italian restaurants. The chicken cutlet was super crispy and perfectly seasoned, with a coating that was flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. The portion size was just right, not too big, not too small. I appreciated that the mozzarella on top was fresh and sliced, not the usual shredded kind. The sauces (yes, plural!) were rich and full of flavor, tying everything together beautifully. The only thing I think it was missing? Some garlic bread of some sort to go with it. That would've made it perfect. But honestly, it was still a fantastic dish on its own. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're anywhere near East Market. I'm already looking forward to going back and seeing what else is good on their menu.
