While the breakfast burritos sounded good, there was no way I could have that and lunch shortly after, so I just opted for the cardamom rose latte. Originally I had wanted to get a pastry as well, but I got there later in the morning so there weren't many options left - maybe another time! It was fairly busy when I went, with a steady stream of customers coming in and out. I opted for the "Fan Fave" (on the small chalkboard to the left of the register that also lists available syrup,s including pumpkin spice, vanilla, honey, mocha, brown sugar, rose,and mint) "Brown Sugar + Vanilla + Cinnamon Latte". They offer 12oz and 16oz, and I opted for iced with light ice in a 16oz, which came out to $6.55 after tax! WOW! Given all the different flavors in this specialty drink, I was fully expecting to pay about ~$8 and round up to $10 with tip, like I usually do. My drink was delicious! From the perspective of a sweet tooth, I thought the brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon were an amazing combination, in a latte that did its job of giving me the energy boost I needed. I found the cinnamon to be a bit overpowering, but it gave the drink another dimension, which I appreciated. The ambiance and interior were so serene. They leave the front window open with seating, acting like a porch, and allowing the cool autumn air in. The soft sunlight prior to sunset also peaked through in between the nearby buildings. There is ample seating, with ample wall charging, and free wifi without a password. I found the elevated booths with high single/double tables to be super unique and not something I've ever seen at a coffee shop before. Overall, I love this coffee shop to death. My drink wasn't my favorite latte I've ever had, but it was definitely delicious and satisfying, especially for the price. Parking is on the street and seems pretty open out front because the surrounding buildings are mostly empty. I was not a fan of their iced tea in 2021-2022 - it was too bitter. But we revisited it this year and it's gotten so much better! Now it's my go-to and also the closest place for me. Price is equivalent to Starbucks. Their baked goods are also better than I remember them - some are vegan and gluten free but don't taste like it. They also have breakfast burritos and boiled eggs if you want something more substantial. My kids LOVE their wide selection of Fanta sodas in glass bottles, and they have other cold drinks if you're not into coffee/tea. Our out of town friend bought coffee beans here as well and loved the hot coffee he got in the shop. My only issue is that the non-coffee drinks are pretty expensive - $4 for a soda is rough. It's now a regular stop for us, so glad they changed the iced tea :)

Have long loved their iced tea and the coffee is just as delightful. Per barista recommendation, I tried the bourbon vanilla bean latte and it is so good! I am generally a plain hot latte or iced americano drinker, but once in awhile, I like to try a fun flavor and this didn't disappoint. It's not too sweet, and the latte itself was made perfectly. Not bitter, just the right temperature, and a genuine hug in a cup. It's a very peaceful space to walk into. Warm greeting, cozy seating, and food options too if you want to stretch your visit inside. There is a drive thru, also, but I wanted to go inside and I'm so glad I did. Highly recommend coming here for a hot or iced beverage if you're anywhere near the area.

On that day, one of my closest friends and I were going to Parker, and ever since, Window Coffee Bar has been my favorite place to get coffee. While I am disappointed that the Melrose location will no longer be there, I am very happy that I was able to visit it just one more time on its last day (August 23rd). Regardless of which location I have gone to, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the places are clean and well-organized, and the product remains the same high quality. What I liked about the Melrose location was the neighborhood feeling it provided. While it will be missed, I will never forget the amazing memories, and I look forward to seeing what will happen next with Window Coffee Bar. Even with the Melrose location closing, at least we still have the Camelback and Tempe locations to go to. On the bright side, the Camelback location is less than five minutes away from the Melrose location, so it is convenient. Looking forward to seeing what Window Coffee Bar will do next. :)
