I called Royal Crest to start service last week .I was told that a sales rep had to sign me up. OK, he called on Friday. A man named Dennis. He REFUSED my request that he call my mother at home that day (she lives with me and is the person WANTING your service)? I am not sure why. He then told me that he could come Monday to my house. I told him that I was almost out of milk and just wanted to start service. He assured me this is how things were done. He promised me that he would come to my house "first thing in the morning' to drop off milk "samples" so I would not have to go to the store over the weekend.Then he would return "no later than3" to sign me up. Monday came 6-7-8-9-10-11 NO MILK. I called and called No answer, only a notification that his voice-mail box was not set up. I ran some errands. 1-2-3 no Dennis. 3:30 I call customer service ( what a misnomer) The girl said she was sorry but all she could do was call his supervisor. Who apparently had left for the day. I explained all I wanted to do was sign up for milk service. She told me that she could not do that. I asked how to sign up for service, she had to get her supervisor to explain the mystery of getting service through your company. He told me to go on the internet (OK I have a smart phone) and print out a form and fax it in for you to ACCEPT ME AS A CUSTOMER?!? What??? I want to pay in ADVANCE with a credit card for a lousy gallon of milk and you can not do that? He told me that I can pay in advance. And they can bill my card with out some form being completed. He recommended that I go to the library PAY to print a form then PAY again at Safeway to fax it to you so you could CONSIDER me for delivery??? If I am going to Safeway I am going to BUY MILK while I am there! I have never been so insulted and treated poorly in my life! All of this to pay more for milk than in the store? I like the idea of supporting a local company. But good God. This is enough to make me want to run to buy Chinese made anything. It must be nice to not need new customers BTW at 9:00 pm your Dennis calls my house and tells me some song and dance about not having his pone and he 'forgot' me. and "All I can say is sorry...So do you want the milk or not!"....Yes a Sorry EXCUSE for a salesman. If this is an example of their company, it is a wonder they are not going out of business! read more

I do not like milk, never have. I would use it in Cereal and cooking, but to drink no. I switched to Organic Milk in the grocery store a few years ago. My feelings about milk kinda stayed the same, eh, it was okay...if I put a lot of chocolate syrup in it...etc. When we moved to Denver, we kept on seeing the Royal Crest boxes around the neighborhood. We called and have NEVER looked back. The milk is so good, creamy and fresh. I have never tasted milk that fresh. I actually drink the milk from my cereal bowl, I do not have to put chocolate syrup in it to actually drink it. We get a gallon of 2% delivered weekly along with cream for our coffee...we cannot keep it stocked. They have great chocolate milk too! Besides milk, they have eggs, yogurt, juices, eggnog seasonally and several other items. A great, special novelty that I highly recommend. The Customer Service team is wonderful, and responsive. If something is wrong, they will fix it. You do not find service like that too often anymore. Our house will never be without Royal Crest. read more

My experience with their home delivery service was a short one, and not a good one. After inquiring about their prices for home delivery service, a sales rep named Ben dropped off a sample and a price sheet. After looking it over, we decided that given the amount of milk we are going through now with small children that we wanted to wait a while before signing up. What was Ben's professional response when we told him this? That we were "annoying" for waiting to tell him this in person. I understand paying more for home delivery and great customer service, but paying more to be disrespected on my own door step, No Thanks! Love the products and have been using them for years now, so imagine my surprise when they collect my box and cancel my service for my payment being short $12. I had spoken to them multiple times explaining my payment was in route but that did not seem to matter. Seems like they could have handled that a lot better in my eyes. read more

I have been using these guys for years and everything was great until the COVID hit. since that time, my orders have been short/late and the last 4 weeks, the cream was going bad within a day or so after delivery. I am a mother of an 18-month old and 3 year old. I had opted into Royal Crest as I had seen it around the neighborhood and had two toddlers in the house that I wanted to provide adequate nutrition for particularly after switching over to cow's milk after nursing. My experience with Royal Crest was that their product was lackluster (the chocolate milk is the worst I've ever tasted and the orange juice is just as bad). The milk comes in nasty plastic cartons that look old and dirty. Their prices were ridiculously high. So finally I decided to switch to their competitor and when I went to cancel they made it hard for me to cancel, they charged me for an additional month that I did not use them and then charged me a $25 late fee when I refused to pay the final bogus bill. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Go with Longmont Dairy. Much better product (glass bottles), much better service. read more

After many years with Royal Crest we have cancelled our service with them. Their new ordering process is NOT customer oriented, they no longer care about the customers that sustained them prior to the pandemic, it is all about putting out the most product with the least amount of customer satisfaction for those that joined during this pandemic. Part of the draw of using Royal Crest was the ability to get things you might need at the last minute without having go back out once you got home and you suddenly realize you are out of bread or eggs etc. If you don't realize that before 7 o'clock you are out of luck. If you are late and just miss a payment they no longer work with you, it's pick up the the box and cut you off. I would REALLY think twice, three time and maybe even four before you start with this company. read more

I am thoroughly disappointed with the customer service. I have been a customer for over 25 years and have never felt so ignored. I have had 3 deliveries in the past week that were not complete. My delivery schedule has been cut in half and for a disabled veteran who needs milk for a medical problem I can't afford to have it go bad which it has when I have had to order too much at one time. I tried calling the customer service number this morning and the recording said the number was no longer working. Numerous times I called and got the same message. I tried the chat function on the webpage and discovered that it was just a computer I was chatting with as it gave me the same answer no matter question or statement I made. It tells you the drivers are trying to have the products you need but there shouldn't be a deficit. The orders go in the night before, the driver leaves the dairy with the products and yet runs out before they get to my house. Someone is grabbing things off the trucks. The Chat says to call customer service. I tried again. Still not working. You should take care of your old customers before you take any new ones on. A wonderful company that has been around since I was a child, and I can tell you other than their Great Product, they truly care about their customers. I called the next day and someone was sent out immediately. We signed up during Covid to make things easier. We have been on again off again with them. From March to June we lost 5 - 6 full Gallons of milk that was bad when opening. When calling Royal Crest they refuse to do anything about it so I cancelled. They have now double charged my credit card for July and added additional fees for cancelling. When calling they didint even ask if they could help make things better, they just said OK. See ya. So I'm guessing everyone is getting bad milk. I get that real milk doesnt last as long, but it should last at least a week. Its sad, we liked getting Milk, Eggs, Bread and Cheese there. When you get your deliveries the products are good. Unfortunately, the key is actually getting deliveries. If convenience is what they are selling then they need to work on their delivery, because week after week I would not get deliveries unless I called and even then it would usually be the day after my regularly scheduled delivery day. I've had Royal Crest for about 6 months, which I cancelled today. I hate that I had to do it, but their service has been horrible. The first time, I placed my order on my sheet, and my delivery driver didn't leave the goods I requested. My husband signed up with Royal Crest after a delivery driver came by a few months ago & offered a sample. My daughter loved the milk, so he signed up. We have had a few glitches with our orders not being placed as requested via their online site. I called yesterday to tell them not to deliver during an upcoming vacation. Then I asked that the eggs on our standing order be removed. The woman on the phone was adamant that I could not remove the eggs without adding a replacement item(s ). Umm, what? You're charging me an arm & a leg for milk plus a $3.00 delivery charge and you're telling me that I'm committed to ordering a certain amount? That was NOT the sales pitch my husband received. After I asked to cancel the service, the lady I spoke with actually had the balls to tell me I was rude!! The call left me with a really, really bad taste in my mouth. Whether there is or is not a minimum order required was not conveyed upon the original sale. I expect a call from the "route supervisor" which I'm pretty certain will never occur. Should he or she surprise me, I will be certain to advise them of their shoddy customer service agents. When I'm paying a premium for a product, customer service is absolutely expected and an entitlement, as is honest sales pitches. read more

My family has been a Royal Crest customer for over 20 years. We love their milk - my daughter will literally not drink any other milk since this is what she grew up on. I started bringing half and half to work and now my co-workers love it. Our delivery guy always shows up and is super quiet. He arrives before 5 AM and never wakes me up even though our bedroom window is right above our milk box. Many homes in my neighborhood have the Royal Crest Dairy boxes out front, but I never really looked into it. Once I started getting organic fruits and veggies delivered, I started saving time and money on grocery shopping. But, I still ended up going weekly to pick up milk and eggs. (And, as many can likely relate, more often than not on those "I just need 2 things trips," you end up picking up other things that you don't truly need!) On a -5 degree day with snow, someone from Royal Crest Dairy left a flyer explaining their services. I was impressed that they were out on such a cold, nasty day! When I called, the rep was very kind and explained how the service works, what they offer, how they deliver, etc. He promptly came by and even brought me a half-gallon to sample. Because I buy organic dairy products, my first question was, "Is the milk organic?" The milk is not labeled as organic, but Royal Crest Dairy milk equaled or surpassed organic milk products in tests; it does test negative, like organic milk products, for pesticides and antibiotics. By not marketing the products as organic, Royal Crest Dairy is able to keep the product cost lower, as organic certified products have added fees, etc. The milk tastes really good and is much better than the milk I was previously purchasing from Whole Foods. It's pasteurized (not ultra-pasteurized like many organic milk products), and you get it within 36 hours of the cow being milked! The gallon of milk that I get (1.5%) is $3.50 cheaper than the milk I was buying from Whole Foods. You pay a monthly $3.00 fee, and you can get deliveries once a week (no added delivery charge). They give you the box, and you can make any changes to your order online, by sticking the form in your mailbox, or by calling. Their customer service is so friendly, and a focus on customer satisfaction is rare these days. Royal Crest delivers everything before 6 am on your delivery day. They sell eggs, juices, breads, dips, yogurts, etc. All of their prices were comparable -- if not less -- than the grocery store. It's a good deal. You save time and gas, you are getting a higher quality product, and you're avoiding trips to the store where you pick up things you don't need. We were customers for 5+ years. When we lived in North Denver, everything was great...fast forward to today and the last year in a newly developed neighborhood in Aurora. We have had nothing but problems; everything from orders being incorrect, delivery coming in the late AM after we've left the house for work (so our product is sitting on our porch in the heat for 8+ hours while at work, and not delivering product when we had things clearly marked on our order form. We have called to complain multiple times, and even with your loyalty we (the customer) had to ask for a discount on our order after multiple times calling to complain. Today the straw broke the camels back and upon my husband calling to cancel our service the agent on the phone said "would you like to speak with a route supervisor"? Worst customer service EVER!!!! I'd advice getting your milk elsewhere, not worth it! read more

Royal Crest is amazing! I am a stay at home mother of 4 and we go through milk like crazy. The convenience of having milk delivered has been incredibly helpful! The quality of the milk is excellent and I love that the milk comes in plastic gallon jugs (my kids would break glass!). Our deliveries are always on time, accurate and we never hear the delivery person (I have 2 dogs who can usually hear a pin drop). I have tried every type of milk they offer and they all taste fantastic. I had my son on their Royal Rich (more fat than whole) after I quit nursing. He loved it right away and it helped him grow. On customer service - never any problems. I've had to alter my weekly deliveries several times due to being out of town or realizing I needed more or less on a regular basis and the customer service representatives have always been helpful. On cost - the milk is more expensive than in the grocery store but you get what you pay for! I feel good giving this milk to my kids and, again, it shows up at my front door! You simply can't beat the fresh taste and integrity of the milk and That alone is worth the cost. I highly recommend Royal Crest! read more

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for these guys. I think they're awesome...sure they're website and online ordering is antiquated but u can use the paper order form to make changes up until that night. I totally forgot about an order yesterday left it outside for a full 24 hours called and they're coming to replace it tonight no charge! How great is that? Literally my fault I forgot the milk outside yet they're fixing it. Although we don't buy too much from them we get their apple juice weekly best stuff you can buy! Rest of their juices aren't fantastic but the cookie dough, green chili dip and pumpkin spice eggnog are amazing! Wow! So many unhappy people. However, I'd like to remind these complainers that when you are dealing with people (customer service reps.) that they are people!!! The milk from Royal Crest is the best around! I have had some blimps with milk going bad or eggs being broken, BUT, they have ALWAYS made it right. That is how you should judge a company. I've had service with Royal Crest for almost 2 years. At first it was great, the milk always tasted fresh and we never had a problem with it going sour before we finished it. The eggnog during the holiday season was also very good. Price was reasonable and it was nice to not have to remember to get milk when grocery shopping. The first problem I had with them was last summer. My credit card that was on file with them had expired so the automatic payment didn't go through. Instead of calling me and having me rectify the situation, the cancelled my order and removed my delivery box. That really should have been it for me but I paid the bill and reinstated the service. Mistakes happen right? The next incident was when we got the wrong delivery. I called them and they said that they couldn't get our correct delivery out to us until the following Monday (delivery is on a Friday). I found a little annoying seeing as how it was their mistake but whatever. Lastly, and this should have made me switch sooner, their milk does not stay good. We had about a half-gallon left out of a gallon with an expiration date of July 27. I had to throw out the milk yesterday 2 days BEFORE the expiration date because it was already sour. This is not the first time this has happened so I'm not sure what they're doing with their milk or where they're getting it from but I've never had milk go bad before the expiration date unless it's been sitting out which is not the case. Dont work here. I got hurt on the job working for them and they denied my workmans comp. They will screw you over. You will be working 60-70 hours a week at a daily rate which comes out to about 10 bucks an hour, and they will treat you like crap like you should be thankful for doing your job. There are no snow days, so you will be getting stuck in the snow and not getting paid for it. The supervisors take your tips and lie and talk about you behind your back. They wonder why they can't keep workers, well these are some of the main reasons. read more

Long story short I had them a few months than stopped because I started my own business and it was cheaper to just grab milk while out. It's been over a year and thought. I got my last bill than called ppl and told them I would send out money order in 2 weeks. So now I thought I would try it again. This time was gonna just pay the extra $4 a month and let them just take it off my cc. This morning I has nothing! No milk, no cheese, NOTHING! I'm a new customer, so I'll give it that caveat, but so far I have been very impressed with Royal Crest. The milk is great - the 2% is some of the richest, most satisfying milk I have had in a long while and the whole milk is even better. The cottage cheese is the best I have ever had. Seriously. They include several other products that are okay - I don't really care about cookie dough or chip dip - but they do have some other staples that are nice to have like bread and eggs. Unfortunately, none of the non-dairy items are local. Most of the stuff that they sell is fairly cost-competitive with the store except for the milk. However, the milk is on-par with store-bought organic milk, meets all of the same standards in organic that I'm looking for (no hormones, no antibiotics), and is a superior product to store-bought organic milk. The customer service has been over-the-top friendly, but again, I'm a new customer, so we'll see how it all plays out. It was nice that when I called, I didn't have to press a single button to talk to a human being. I'll update to five stars later if I continue to enjoy the service or downgrade if I have similar experiences to other reviewers. I hope I can give it five. UPDATE: So we've been using this service for a few months now, and I haven't had a single negative experience. The milk products are all great, we get exactly what we order, and the price, while a little higher than the store, keeps us from making impulse buys at the store, so it actually is saving us money. My son loves Royal Crest milk. I love the idea of supporting a local company. But I think I am going to cancel the service. About a month ago, I ordered frozen cookie dough. When I got it in the morning (around 7AM) it was completely thawed...warm even. I thought it was odd, but I just figured I wouldn't order frozen products anymore. The milk and eggs were also not cold, but I assumed they were fine. Last night, I heard the truck outside my house at 11:45 PM! After the driver left, I went out to get the milk and eggs and the milk had a softball size snow ball on it. That's it. There is no way that would keep the milk and eggs at a safe temperature all night. I found out that the delivery window starts at midnight, so they were only 15 minutes early. They feel that it's "not a problem for most customers." It is for me. I guess it is a 5 star company for those at the end of the route. For me, food safety overrides the positives. read more

It was a rough start with customer service for us but initially I was so excited that Royal Crest was finally delivering to Sunnyside. After trying a few products and working out the kinks in ordering I decided to skip a week because we weren't using as much as I had thought. Apparently skipping a week in the first month is against rules? Started to realize that after the delivery fee of 1$ week, the milk isn't cheaper than organic certified from the store and most products they offer aren't local, and not cheaper than my local grocery store for the same brands. I asked if the orange juice was fresh. I was told it was from a powder mix. Then I had an unpleasant phone call with a service rep. After explaining that I was trying to skip a week because we were figuring out a gallon was too much, she finally got the off week approved but was pretty irritated and I practically had to beg and threaten to cancel. Then the driver called and sounded nervous (like maybe he got in trouble for this account). I explained again that when I had signed up I had no idea how much I would use and it was simply too much. It was just one week I wanted to skip. They made it sound easy to skip a week or adjust an order. There was no point for the 2nd phone call. THEN, I get a phone call saying that my bill is past due. What bill? I haven't received anything in the mail. Nor can you access anything bill related through the website. They left it in the box last week they say? Nope, nothing there, and it was the week that I skipped. So they say the driver must have not delivered the statement because we skipped. They probably put it in the mail. They will drop another one next week in the box. Nope, never got anything, in the mail or the box. They tell me they can run my credit and sign me up for auto draft. No thanks, I want to see a statement since NO WHERE does it list the actual price of milk. She emails me a statement at my request and says if it is easier she can have all the statements emailed to me. That's great for me, sign me up. Except, here I am searching my emails for 'royal crest' a month later thinking i must have missed it because they have mailed me ANOTHER past due notice without receiving a statement. Not a single email. I like to pay my bills on time, I like to see paper statements every month so I can cross check my monthly grocery budgets, and I certainly like to be able to look at my balance online. I have decided to send my last payment and cancel the service. I wish the experience had gone well, but at the end of the day there is no added value to keep me as a customer. I would consider signing back up if they ever offered more local products, if their name brands were actually cheaper than in the store, if they allowed you to access your bills online, and if their customer service improved greatly. The milk is just okay and not worth the hassle. read more

We've used Royal Crest for years, and love them. It's as easy as it gets. Their milk is the best around, and the delivery of perishables (milk, bread, eggs, etc) keeps us out of the grocery store. The impulse buys were killing us. Our strategy is to buy meats and staples is bulk at Costco, and get perishables from Royal Crest. We did the math and figured out that Royal Crest delivery has saved us about $300-400/month for the last five years. read more
