I appreciate that the card reader at the gas pumps are mostly always functioning. I try to avoid going in the store as much as possible due to the fried smell being VERY STRONG and you will have chicken smell in your clothes within minutes of being in the store. With that, It's a nice one stop shop if you need food or snacks and the RoFo Rewards app has some pretty good deals! This location also has an ATM and a mini/basic car was, which is helpful if you need those services. It's also one of the bigger locations with plenty of pumps and parking. read more

Typical Royal Farms, it's close to my gym and grocery store of choice. Smells like heavenly chicken inside, staff is friendly and helpful enough, but I'm unimpressed by their lack of drink options - they carry THE most basic Coke products which is unacceptable. I can't bring myself to go back to this location. The store was not clean and the employees customer service was kind of blah. I went there to order to breakfast sandwiches and the sandwich wasn't good. It was only 2 egg sandwiches so I'm not sure why the taste wasn't there. The cheese was cold and not melted on my sandwich. As I was leaving, one of the employees that made my sandwich stepped to the side of the hot food section and blew her nose. Yuck. She was still in the food area and she was the one that made my sandwich. I don't know if she washed her hands afterwards because I was so disgusted and decided to leave. Why not go to the bathroom to blow your nose and wash your hands? I don't understand why an employee that's responsible for handling food would blow her nose in the food section. It was so gross. As a gas station it is more or less exactly what you would expect, but for food and drink it is pretty good. I still prefer Wawa sandwiches, but if you are a rewards member you can usually snag a free coffee or some chicken, and it is pretty good. I know their fries are popular, but at least for me, by the time I got home they had steamed themselves into being nothing special. read more

Never Ever buy a gift card for Royal Farms, when you are trying to active it, is an automatic key process and there is no real costumer service operator for helping or assistance for any issue. you better losse your money. I don't know what happened today but the birds evidently had a convention in the tree I was parked underneath. Maybe it was a non-enclosed aviary but they DESTROYED my car. I always keep my ride clean (thanks for that ingraining that in me, Pops). I parked, went to an appointment and came out to what looked like it had been sitting in the same spot for weeks. Bird crap... EVERYWHERE. Friggin flying rat bastaaaads!!! Naturally, I had to take care if this IMMEDIATELY! Since it was late in the day, car washes I go to were closed so I needed assistance... STAT! Yelp to the rescue. I jump on Yelp and search for gas stations w/ car washes. I came across this location and decided to try it out. I have gone to the BP across the street but on several occasions, it tends to leave soap behind... hidden. Off to RF I go and maaaaan, when I tell you... I opted to the 'Ultimate Wash' because bird crap was EVERYWHERE!! When I pulled out of the wash, my car looked like it was hand washed. I can't even begin to tell you how pleased I am. And... After purchasing chicken and $20 in gas I loaded the gas to my car came back to pick up the chicken. I asked the young man preparing the chicken for extra small box to give some of my chicken to the homeless person outside. He complied. I go to my car as I normally do every time I get where you're from chicken I'll pull a piece out and start too munch. It's room temperature cold. Amica u-turn and pull back into the parking lot approach the young man very Connolly explaining the chicken was cold and I'm only looking to replace the remaining chicken with hot chicken. He gave me a disgusted look and refused stating "I went outside so of course it is cold". I only walk to my car which took literally less than a minute and pulled back into the parking lot within 3 minutes. Is dead hot outside even at night. I can tell he took the whole thing personal as if I was trying to get over on him. I looked at the chicken behind him sitting on top of the fryer and notice some pieces were dark and some was light in the color as if What I was thinking was true. The chicken wing that I've been into did not have the Royal farm flavor or texture It seemed to be cooked an old dirty grease. And then serve to me cold. He refused to replace the remaining pieces of chicken with hot chicken. Even though I was only gone from the store just a few minutes. I never asked for refund or to replace the whole bag Just the remaining pieces due to I know I gave the homeless guy four pieces of chicken and I started to eat one piece. Dis frustrates me because I go to this particular Royal farms quite often and usually late at night. And there's usually another gentleman working the register and someone else working the chicken and I always get decent service. This is the second time I receive cold chicken from this gentleman young man who seems as though he hates his job when you question him about the menu. This time I refuse to accept the cold chicken without stating my claim. I asked the cashier for the store manager's name and he stated he does not have her name or number. I insisted he must know her name and that I do not need her number and he gave me the name "Che" . I am usually happy with the service. There are great people at the register except for one. I walk back out when shes there. For a tiny women she carries a lot of rude qualities. She is very disrespectful to all the customers. I have seen quite a few complaints pop up for this lady. Obviously she causing customers to go other places. Also i was very disappointed when i went to get a few chicken boxes for a fishing trip and was told they are not making any more chicken n that only breast were available. When i asked if there were any boxes she could make up with that she very rudely said " I aint makin nuffin". I took my business to the one off of I 97. There is always chicken for me there. I find Royal Farms locations poorly managed. The windshield cleaning solution containers at the gas pumps are almost ALWAYS empty, the sqeegee's are often missing, it is not unusual to find multiple pumps not working, and they advertise "FREE AIR" for tires but it is extremely rare the air pumps work at any of their locations. The air nozzles are either missing or broke and often, on the rare occasion you find one with an air nozzle that is actually in working order, the pump is V. . .E . . .R . . .Y S . . .L . . .O. . .W. It can take several minutes or longer to put a few pounds of air in a tire. A local Wawa has two air pumps and I have always found both working whereas the local Royal Farm has only one that rarely works. I have used them frequently for many years both locally and in my many years of round trips from Montgomery County, MD to Ocean City, MD 2-3 weekends per month in the summer and 1-2 per month in the off season. I now by-pass them whenever possible for a Wawa, Sheetz or other gas, food & convenience store. I find that most Wawa's are excellent and better managed and maintained. Sorry RoFo, you have to work on the customer experience, it falls very short in meeting expectations. I now use them only when there is no other option, and that is very rare. read more

Was at Royal Farms yesterday. Everyone there is always so nice, pleasant, and helpful, except for one employee . She is a short black lady. Not that race or height mean anything , but she gives the worst customer service ever!!t" it makes no difference, but she is so very, very rude. I can relate to other customers. My first time there and I had no idea how the ordering process worked. With obvious confusion I looked at the options, stared at the menu, went back and forth trying to find prices...and all along the woman behind the counter just stared at me with a blank expression while doing nothing. I was about to ask her questions, but something about her was off putting, and then she started working on an order. Luckily a guy showed up at the counter and I asked him about the process. So for anyone who's never been to a Royal Farms (or this one) you place your order at the kiosk, take your receipt to the cashiers and pay there. Moving on to the food. The chicken was good, but so salty. I love salt so if I'm "complaining" it must be a problem. Funny thing, when I ate the next day (cold) the salt didn't bother me as much. For 8pcs I paid $13.99 :-( I also got 4 biscuits which were good, though a bit spongy. Plus there was no butter, honey or jelly packets. They costed about $3.50. Not cheap. Anyway, would I go to RF for the chicken again? Yes....but only when I have a serious craving and can't get to a Popeyes or KFC. read more

Update Time: If any of you have been here recently the Air Pump may not have been working for you. I know what you are thinking...this guy uses the free air pump a lot over here. Well it's free and I also think I have a slow leak so when I'm here pumping gas I usually get air as well. The machine is back up and running and the digital screen that gives you accurate readings of tire pressure is no longer cracked/broken. All is right again in the universe. read more

This is a good store if you go between 7-9pm any other time it is terrible, no one is ever behind the counter so if u need something from behind the counter your gonna be waiting a while. They will just look at you and turn away knowing you need something. Think twice before you get a car wash here. Both a friend of mine and I have been a regular customer at this Royal Farm for gas and car wash. We had enjoyed the car wash, which you can get at a discount if you purchase the gas, until two weeks ago when the automatic washer slapped a 10-inch crack on the windshield of my friend's vehicle. I went in the store and talked to the manager, who told me that they have a computer system to process these kinds of 'issues' and would contact us in several days. I understand that it would take time for them to review the footage to determine the details of the incidents, so we decided to wait for their feedback. It had been two weeks and my friend still hadn't heard anything from them, so she decided to find the manager, who deferred her to another manager. The manager told my friend that they have reviewed 'everything' and could not find any issue on their end. So they refused to give my friend at least a partial reimbursement (several hundred bucks at a generic repair shop to replace the windshield, or $1000+ at the dealer). They also refused to provide the footage to prove that this wasn't their fault. I mean, as reasonable customers, who the hekk would be filming the surroundings when your car is being washed just to prove yourself in case there is damage? Only the camera recording from the store can exonerate themselves from any wrong-doing in this case. What really disappointed however was the fact that they did not even show the willingness to reach out to us even though they believed this was not their fault. We had to come to the store ourselves and nag them before we get some responses and were deferred to somebody else, as if our time is less important to theirs. I stopped here to get my poor car washed. It is a 2004 and has a moon roof, and I could see leaf outlines on my window of the moon roof. The car wash was ....ok. I have an appointment tomorrow, and will wash it again, and update. In all fairness, my car has not been washed since I got here in September. I hardly use my car because everything is within walking distance, and it sits a lot and collects leaves. You get a discount in fuel prices if you order a car wash, but they were filling the tanks, and I passed on the fuel that day. Get your fuel first, then car wash. OK the best part....there is FREE....yes I said FREE air for your tires! The gauge automatically beeps when you reach whatever tire pressure YOU select. I love that, because you are not blindly filling, or switching between the air and tire gauge. Well done. I went inside the store, and every RF has a little deli area that serves pretty good food. This is the nicest and safest full service ROFO in Baltimore City. After the remodel the store front is really modern and reasonably clean. This location is really busy during the day, often hard to find parking if you're just popping in for coffee or chicken; however you can usually park for a few minutes in a random section of the property. I frequent this Royal Farms late night when I'm driving Uber. It's been a great spot for me to hang out and most importantly use the restroom; Not every ROFO has public bathrooms. Staff here is reasonably nice and their coffee always taste fresh. read more

I love this royal farms. Gas is usually cheaper than across the street, coffee is delicious, and obviously the chicken/breakfast sandwiches are a favorite.
