Worst royal farms I've ever visited. Place is packed with cars with not many people inside building, walking in store the floors are sticky and the building smells like piss. Bathrooms are horrid. Self checkout registers don't work and there is one employee working the counter. Lids and straws are not stocked by the fountain sodas. I am scared to eat the food I ordered and paid for honestly, I will drive further next time to a different store. I've never had this bad of an experience at a Royal farms before. read more

Personally, I must say that I find this location of the Royal Farm store to be absolutely wonderful. First of all foremost their staff always accompanies you with a warm, welcome and friendly smile. They are very attentive to your needs as well as questions of which you may have. When they are exceptionally busy the staff is very on top of things and keep things moving swiftly so that there are absolutely no aggravated customers. Should you desire something of which the store may not have you? you can easily contact the manager as they will see that it is available to you soon in this stores location. I highly recommend this Royal Farm location above any other. The store is kept very clean as well as the bathroom facilities which is of utmost importance as well. Upon entering the store you are always welcomed with a warm hello from a staff member accompanied with a welcoming smile. When exiting the store the staff makes it a point to say thank you with a lovely smile. The food was good here, I had the western fries and a 12 piece order of fried chicken. I also got a couple ice cream sandwiches which were not too expensive and I enjoyed it a lot. They play some nice music while you shop and the service by the cashiers was nice. I highly recommend coming here to eat or to shop for all your convenience store needs. read more

Things I like about this Royal Farms: the chicken, the Chesapeake sauce, the beer and wine, Krispy Kreme donuts are sold here, solid gas prices, Redbox, they sell propane, open (and making food) super late, and it's walking distance to my house (no drinking and driving to get grub or beverages). Things I don't always love: discount program for gas requires you use debit, not credit, options other than chicken (even just sides and toppings) aren't great, breakfast could be better, employees could be more helpful/knowledgeable (couldn't answer questions about propane pricing). Their chicken has a distinctly Royal Farms flavor and the Chesapeake sauce is the perfect compliment for it to me, but I could definitely see how some could dislike their chicken. Fried chicken is a dividing food, but I like it here. If you haven't had it here yet, definitely give it a go, but get the Chesapeake sauce! read more

This location is convenient that it is located near the turnpike entrance and exit. But, that is about it. The interior was very tight. When you walk in, people are standing in the entrance waiting for door or waiting to order food. It was not convenient at all. The bathrooms were meh. Not horrible but, not great. Somewhere in between 7-11 and Wawa. Granted, there's a lot of room in between the two but RF falls somewhere in there. I stopped in here for gas while I was working, so I didn't even look at the price. But sometimes I'll head inside for a water and a snack. I like that they are 24/7 and you can get some freshly fried chicken at 3am. I also like their self-checkout registers. I did notice that the inside is set up more like a "rest stop" (i.e. Pilot) just off the highway rather than a neighborhood convenience store (i.e. Turkey Hill). All in all it's not bad. read more

Sometimes understaffed which is pretty common in retail these days. However, staff is always pretty great. They're very friendly and deserve a raise. The gas pumps are a different story. They're ungodly slow. Depending on how big your tank is you could be there for 20 minutes. My wife refuses to go here for gas. I love Royal Farms, and although it is a controversial opinion among my family and some friends I enjoy it over Wawa! I am so glad this location opened up, it is closer to me than the one on 309 so my friends and I always visit here. It is also located conveniently next to the North East Extension for travelers going on or coming off, and it is in the same parking lot as a Holiday Inn, for those who are staying in the area. Parking is not a issue for this location, there is plenty of parking around the main building and next door at the Inn need be. You are greeted by a giant chicken statue and tables to eat outside if you wish, with plenty of trash cans in the area to dispose of trash. One thing I love about the building itself and inside is the aesthetic. Everything is bright and clean, even the shelves are lit up! There is plenty to order from the food ordering screen, although it will take a bit to get used to it. The chicken is absolutely amazing, the biggest highlight food wise follower by the mac and cheese, rolls and cheese fries. Away from the food station there is plenty of fresh foods like salads and many varieties of drinks, snacks and a great milkshake station too (bigger then Wawas might I say). The other best part other than the chicken is the fact they carry Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, which is a rare find in this area anymore!! The only downside is they do not have the mooing door at this location like the other one had... in all seriousness, they only have one cashier to checkout and about 3 self checkouts. Not bad later in the day but during rush hour it could be a pain. Additonally the gas is decent enough and there is a light at the exit to make leaving easier. All in all, Royal Farms is a great experience and it will keep me and my friends coming back!! read more

I've ordered other Royal Farms and have never had a bad experience until I tried the Lansdale location I ordered 4 thighs, 2 breasts, and 4 tenders got out to the car and the breading on the tenders was gummy, not at all crisp got home and had 1 breast 1 thigh 1 leg, and 1 wing (wingish thing) not at all what i ordered and considerably less than what i paid $37 for. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend staying away from this location. read more

If you are thinking about Royal Farms for their chicken, you have WAY better options elsewhere - anywhere. They charged me just under $4 for a dwarfed chicken wing that was smaller than a goldfish fin (hardly exaggerating - could have been a chicken ebryo) and same price for a chicken leg that could not have been more than a hatchling and the meat was so over cooked that it was ridiculous. Not only the condition of the selection, but the over-priced amount is ridiculous - ANY place for fried chicken is a better deal. Not exaggerating. I will never stop there again. read more

My fiancé and I wanted to try Royal Farms only for the chicken. The ordering system was kind of confusing and we spent a good 6 minutes trying to figure out what we should order and what we get with what meal. We had to redo our order because some weird entree was showing up that we didn't add (or at least I think we didn't add). The food came out fast and the workers behind counter and walking around the store were pleasant and helpful. I love how the food was packaged up in a nice box, keeping the chicken, fries, and biscuit nice and hot. The sauces were really good, I had the honey mustard and ranch sauces with my meal. Since we have never been in a royal farms, I was surprised that you had to do self checkout. What's worrying is I just read a review that a card skimmer was found on one of their machines. I'm not sure if I would rush back here as I'm a Wawa girl. read more

This place is literally the wild Wild West , they close early every night without an actual set closing time , they'll tell you 10 o clock but then 8 pm doors are locked , this is the worst royal Farms I've ever been to , at night there's only one employee there to deal With 20 plus customers, the manager Erica is awesome and very accommodating, but the rest of the employees are rude and show lack of interest in helping customers or even working for that matter, I had a female employee deny me a slushy because she said she didn't know how to operate the machine . The fried chicken is pretty good. However, I don't recommend any sandwiches or prepared foods that require the staff to pull the chicken off because they do not do a good job removing the bones. Maybe old phones work?? Plus attendants will put your number in and the app won't give you the points. Machines here have lots of quirks so I would avoid if you're in a hurry. Some items used strangely cab order from the touch menu so you have to ask one of the workers who are usually pretty busy. Staff is friendly and good is tasty if you're into fried chicken. Referencing the article the previous poster mentioned, my credit card information was stolen at this location. I visited this location a few months ago when it first opened. Not too long after, I noticed fraudulent activity on my credit card. Luckily, my financial institution has mechanisms in place to quickly resolve the issue. For openers I want to save the owner of this franchise money and just say that you will never ever ever compete with Wawa so just pack it up. This establishment sucks more than the one they built on County line Road a few years ago and I didn't think that was possible. Why are your ATMs always out of money. Do you need a few bucks? I think they hire the people that got fired from Wawa. I ordered a sandwich from the touchscreen, and when I got to work at lunchtime seven of the nine ingredients were missing. When this place first opened, it was great. The staff was very attentive, everything was clean, and it was a good experience. Fast-forward a few months. The store is always dirty, especially around the coffee station where the trash is always overflowing and there are spills everywhere. I get that it's a high-traffic store being right off of 476, but it frequently seems understaffed without enough people to check those kinds of things. There are one or two registers for regular checkout and three self-checkout bays. Several times I've gone up to self-checkout and there are no bags and no one to ask for more. I watched one guy get a message on self-checkout that assistance was needed and to please wait for a cashier. He waited and waited. He'd already swiped his card but no one came, and no one seemed interested in helping him. After a few minutes and a line building up behind him, he finally just left it and walked out. It was like there was no one working there except the two or three people making food, and they weren't paying attention to the rest of the store. Like someone else commented, when you order a breakfast sandwich, they just heat it up, so it's barely ever hot. It's hardly ever even warm (like... 700 watt microwave for 10 seconds kind of hardly warm). The last time I ordered an egg sandwich, they forgot the egg. I mean... you had one job. It was just a piece of cheese on a bagel. Not sure how he missed that. I don't understand the rewards program. Apparently I have to link the card to my credit card in order to get gas points. I'm not going to do that. It doesn't sound safe. Plus, as others have commented, they already found credit card skimmers at this location on the registers (which should have been easy to set up since, like I said, they're rarely ever attended). But even just to purchase things in-store with the points I got... it never gives me the option to do that at the register unless I want to pay with my rewards card (which takes me back to point a: I'm not connecting my debit/credit card to it). I do like their coffee, but I like it just as much as Wawa, and if the experience at Wawa is better (someone is ALWAYS cleaning and stocking the coffee station at Wawa and there are always people around who will help when needed), I'll just go there. read more

Okay so when they first opened over a year ago the chicken was pretty good for a fast food joint. But today I ordered a chicken tender meal with fries and after one bite I threw it out and went to chick-filet. And that's because the chicken was so stringy I could've made shoelaces out of it and the fries were so greasy I could've greased my trucks ball joints with them.
