Royal "flush your money down the toilet" completed a $1300 plumbing repair in my shower last year. Recently the hot water handle that ROYAL FLUSH SUPPLIED AND INSTALLED broke off after only 15 months of use (the last one lasted 60+ years). They used super cheap Glacier Bay parts that I even questioned when the plumber initially pulled them out to install. I trusted them to be the experts and perform a lasting repair but not only did this not last long at all, today they told me I'd have to pay another $395 to replace just the hot water knob that THEY INSTALED last year! I spoke to the manager Hector who said the Chief Operating Officer said not to fix it because they don't warranty the parts they use. What an absolute scam. I recommend using a reputable plumbing company who stands by their work and does not use super cheap parts that break in the near future. read more

CALL ANOTHER PLUMBER. I'm a long time customer of Royal Flush (10+years), but based on recent service (as seen by others) would never do business with them again. I called a tech to come to my house to service a hot water heater they installed 2 years prior that was still under warranty. It was getting no hot water. Mind you, I had already called the year prior to let them know the water was running cold. They told me that was "normal". The tech that came out was rude, aggressive, told me the product his own company installed was garbage (A.O. Smith -- so if you use them, don't let them put that in), and offered little help to find parts to repair it. He put that responsibility on me, despite the fact that I was desperately trying to get my hot water back on to help take care of my mom who was coming to stay with me after a cancer diagnosis and rehab, and trying to work around his visit. He pressured me and threatened repeatedly to leave unless I installed a new hot water heater because the part could not be found. He also told me that if he left, I'd have no hot water for my mom. After I finally reluctantly agreed TO PAY FOR 2 WATER HEATERS IN 2 YEARS - not knowing what else to do - he told me that was a bad decision because he could have picked up the part outside of the city or outside of the state (things he often does, but didn't offer me). I was so upset, I called the office to complain. Everyone I spoke to was either shocked, disappointed or offered to resolve the issue with a discount, but you what they ended up doing? NOTHING. FOR WEEKS. DESPTE REPEATED CALLS ON MY END. When they finally did respond 3+ weeks later, they had the audacity to offer me 20% off a future visit --- as if I'd return. When I disputed a portion of the cost with my CC company (yes, I actually paid for some of it), they had the further audacity to threaten legal action. So, I called them again to resolve the issue and sent the billing person (Aja) the documentation of every single conversation (with Duan, Bailey, John, Courtney and Wendy). Aja said she'd get back in 2 days. A week of so later after I reached out 2 more times, her boss, Karen, finally sends me a letter, ASKING FOR MORE MONEY - a year after the original fiasco. I cannot believe the nerve of this company. My gut tells me that their terrible customer service these days are coming back to bite them and they are getting desperate. I can't believe this company.. Honestly, I know nothing about plumbing so of course you call someone to do it for you. So I hired this company to work on the gas pipe... charging me a lot of money for little easy thing to do. The next day I detected gas leak they were able to fix it.. two days later ( I didn't want to do it the next day because I thought give it a few days to air it out) I smell the gas again. Different technician came back for the third time and claimed that there isn't. They offered gas pressure test which of course more $$$. I already paid them a LOT of money for an easy job. So I told them no. Now I had contractors came in for a home project and as soon as them came in my kitchen they immediately told met that I have a gas leak! I called them back and they said that according to the their technician that came last time offered and still offering me a pressure test for a fee. Im was frustrated to get this issues fix asap since I still have the leak. NEVER would I EVER call them AGAIN!! Their waiting time window isn't great either. They are not a @24 hours service. They can't do anything which is a waste of time waiting for nothing. if you call late and they tell you that they will come at night don't wait up.. even if its an emergency they still wouldn't respond quickly.. If they do come in the afternoon or night time. They don't have the parts to fix it. Call your GAS company! I had Georgia Natural Gas company to come out to do that. They are pretty thorough on detecting any gas. And they did! The gas company will tell you where it is and will give you recommendations of the plumbers. He explains about why it leaks. Free of charge. The gas company technician were sincerely and very knowledgable about it. Their workmanship isn't worth the high pay. Seek somewhere else! read more

Followup from my previous review. After about a month the cold water of the sink that was installed had a severe drop in pressure, it was coming out barely more than a trickle. Lived with it for a while until yesterday when I had a day off. Call Royal Flush again and they sent a different guy out around 6PM. He was quick to diagnose the problem, basically there were particles of rust in the line and in the faucet which was restricting the flow. He said it should have been flushed out completely at the time of the original install, got it all working properly again (showing me throughout the process and explaining what he was doing.) At the end of the service appointment I asked how much it would be and he said no charge, he was applying it back to the previous technician who should have anticipated it originally. I definitely wasn't expecting that, was fully prepared to pay for the service but he wasn't having any of it. He explained it was their company's failure and he was rectifying it. A huge rarity in the world. I offered him up a tip (didn't have any cash on me as I was prepared to pay with check) of a Starbucks gift card and a Longhorn's card. He took the Longhorn's card but declined the Starbucks as he never drinks it :) Just A+++++ across the board from this company. We were pleased with the first visit but this followup blew us away. read more

It's never fun to have to call a plumber, and in fact, I'd never done it before. My office had a yucky moldy patch on the drywall of our ceiling, directly below a sink upstairs, so obviously I didn't have much choice about calling someone to check it out. I did what any good Yelper would do, and Yelp-searched "plumber" near Atlanta. Royal Flush popped up first and I gave them a call. Vicki, their very nice office manager answered my call, and dispatched someone to come out that very afternoon. Dave showed up and gave us a quick explanation of what he would do: cut out the piece of drywall, look around, assess the problem, then give us a quote. The "investigation" would be $96, which would be waived if we went ahead and had him do the repair, but there was no obligation to have Royal Flush do the repair. Dave was very nice, and worked quickly to find a copper pipe that was not welded properly. He gave us a very reasonable estimate, and worked with our tenants schedule to find a good time to do the repair (which ended up being on a Saturday - these guys work 7-days-a-week!) I showed up this morning and everything was taken care of. We're very happy with the quality of work, the professionalism and efficiency of Dave and Vicki, and we're happy with the price. I would definitely recommend these guys! One quick note: Royal Flush told us we needed to get a dry wall guy to replace the piece of dry wall they took out to do the repair. Makes a lot of sense when you think about it: you wouldn't ask a butcher to make an apple pie to go with your rack of lamb. He might be able to do it, but a baker could do a much better job. So just be prepared to call in someone else if there's any drywall patching/replacement needed. read more

I have a condo in Atlanta, and the water bill had quadrupled in price. Since the water company confirmed that the meter was working properly, I knew that I had a plumbing issue. So I called Royal Flush Plumbing based on the great reviews here on Yelp. And boy am I glad that I did! They set-up a 'same day' appointment, and were very flexible with my schedule. Dave showed up at 8:00PM (Yes, they are 24/7!!...which is great when you work full-time), and quickly diagnosed the problem. They arrived 3.5 hours after my appointment due to a problem with the schedule. The dispatcher, MacKenzie, did call to let me know they would be hours late. She called again to let me know the plumber was close; however, she verified my address, which was incorrect, and could not give an ETA for the plumber. There is no 50% police or military discount as advertised. The guy stated at maximum they would only give you 20% off or a maximum of $100 deducted from the total. False advertising. I appreciated them coming on a weekend day, but I think I'll use a local guy next time. It would probably cost me less. read more

Note: Before proceeding with my review of Royal Flush Plumbing, Inc. please read my review for R S Andrews Services so that you can understand the background situation I experienced prior to calling and using the services of Royal Flush Plumbing, Inc. I called Royal Flush Plumbing, Inc and asked if I could schedule a time for them to come out to assess my leaking shower faucet during non "after hours." The representative on the phone for Royal Flush Plumbing informed me that they do not have "after hours" and are available 24/7. She also informed me that they offer a free assessment of the issue as long as they don't have to get into the wall or something like that. Therefore, I scheduled a visit the same day of my call (Sunday) and was informed that Dan would visit in a couple hours or less. The Royal Flush Plumbing representative said they would call 30 minutes prior to the arrival of the plumber and it happened as they promised. Additionally, the Royal Flush Plumbing representative called me back about 20 minutes later to let me know that the plumber was stuck in traffic and was running a bit late. I'm happy with this level of service and the plumber had not even arrived to check out the situation. About 15 minutes later the plumber, Dan, arrived and assessed the situation. He removed the shower handle and peered into the cavity between the wall and the stand up shower. He noticed leaking where the copper pipes connect with the CPVC and then informed me that the price to fix it, would be $180.00. This price did not include replacing the sheet rock after the plumbing repair, because I can do that myself. Once he cut the hole from the wall behind the shower he was able to examine the leak in more detail. He recommended that he use the pressure joint connection rather than the threaded connection since the pressure joint connections last a very long time and do not risk that chance of cracking or leaking at an indeterminable time in the future that is the nature of threaded CPVC to copper connections. I'm not a plumber, or an expert in plumbing, but I know how to fix somethings, or will at least attempt to fix them through searching on the web. I've fixed the leaking valve stem and cartridge on this particular single knob faucet in the past and was sure the seal was tight. Dan verified this and said that the pressure connectors would cost more. The price would be $250.00, which was agreeable to me. It was more than the initial estimate, but there's very little risk that these connectors will fail and I'll have Dan back in a year or two to fix this same faucet again. I've used these types of connectors in the past, actually installed them myself and they are easier to install than gluing CPVC or soldering copper. Overall, I was happy with the repair. It occurred on a Sunday, I was charged substantially less than what I expected the repair to cost, and the plumber was professional and knowledgeable. A representative of Royal Flush Plumbing, Inc. called me the next day to conduct an brief phone survey on the quality, cost and timeliness of the repair. I provided answers to all of the ten or eleven questions and overall stated I would give them an "8." read more

Had a little problem with water dripping from the shower faucet. Called 3 plumbers and got quotes from each. 2 plumbers came out and the first which was Superior quoted me either $600 or $1500 if they have to cut through the wall. After that Royal came out and did the job for less than $400. A "Master Plumber" from Royal came out and was very informative and knowledgeable. He explained everything in detail and finished the job in a timely manner. He even had to go back to his warehouse to pick up a part. I'm very satisfied with their service and would definitely use them again. I usually called Superior, but always kind of though their fees were high and this experience only confirmed my suspicions. read more

We had a leak and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We worried about having the plumbers come out because we were very nervous that it was something behind the wall that would be expensive and would take a toll on the Sheetrock, etc. Turns out it was just a very slow leak from the bathroom toilet. I've used this company several times over the years for various plumbing needs and until this last visit, I've always been pleased with the work. Last week I came home to a leak over my kitchen table; Directly above said table is the master bath. Given that my level of knowledge when it comes to plumbing is nil, I once again called on royal flush. They came out quickly, and the man that came immediately had me sign a waiver allowing him to cut into my Sheetrock. Now, as I said, I don't know anything about plumbing, so I trusted that this is what needed to be done (to the tune of $150!!! He was going to charge me $175 until I told him I had been quoted $150) I signed the waiver and he went to it. After digging around in the ceiling for a while, he was unsuccessful in locating the leak. My husband had gotten home by this point and decided he would start in the most logical place...the bathroom. He found the leak in less than 5 minutes, and guess what?...he didn't have to cut holes in anything to find it. The plumber then came upstairs, looked under the sink, said that the cold water supply line needed to be replaced. He fixed it in less than 5 minutes, but did not tell me how much it would be. I assumed that since it was literally as simple as unscrewing the worn out line and screwing in a new one, it probably wouldn't cost and arm and a leg...boy was I wrong. He charged me $181 to replace a $8 part that my 10 year old son could have done for free. While he was here, I asked him to provide me a quote to install a Roman tub faucet, at this point I was already frustrated, but I wanted to prove a point. See, I had already received a quote last year for the same tub faucet to be installed (by the same company), but I was curious if he was also going to gouge me on the price there as well. No big surprise, his quote was nearly $300 more than the original quote I received a year ago. After speaking to several other plumbing companies and explaining my experience, I realize that this company took advantage of the situation. When we got home from lunch today, a river of water was flowing down our street. It only a took me a minute to figure out that it was coming from our in-ground irrigation box. At City of Atlanta water prices, I could see myself having to delay retirement a good 3-4 years over this! I called Royal Flush and Pete was at my house in an hour. On a Sunday, that's really impressive! He was professional, diligent and very fair. A lot of plumbers would take advantage of me in my time of need, but Pete did only what he needed, and did it at a very competitive price. With a 3 week old baby in the house, we needed our water back on quickly, and Pete made that happen for us. I called and said I could wait to first thing in the morning they said they could do that. I received an email saying they be onsite before 1pm it's now 3 hours later and 24 hours after the original call and I still do not have a tech on site I'm very disappointed in the service I am getting. read more

These guys did a great job! I had problems with a backed up toilet that would have air bubbles when the dishwasher drained. I called and they sent someone out the next morning to give me an estimate. The guy was very nice and professional. He explained to me what he thought the problem was going to be and then gave me 3 different estimates, depending on how far back into the line they had to go and if they had to break up some of the concrete. (We are on a slab foundation.) I told him thanks and that I had to talk with my fiance and get a few other estimates before I could commit. Never once did he even try to pressure me into anything. They ended up having the best price and I called the next morning to set up an appointment. They were able to come back out that day, completely fixed the problem and only did the work that was needed. They did a complete home inspection to make sure everything else in the house was ok and checked the overall house water pressure. Overall the experience with them was wonderful and I will definitely be using them again. read more

My kitchen sink was clogged and drained very slowly. It connected to my dishwasher and washing machine, so I could use either. I called on Friday at 5:30 and scheduled them to come out the next day between 12 and 3. At 3:25, I got a call saying the plumber was on their way to my house. I told them I had already made plans since they we not in the window they had told me. They scheduled for the plumber to come on Sunday at the same time. My technician was Will and he did a great job. He was very friendly and comfortable around our dog. Since they were not able to make it out when they told me the first time, they gave me 20% off. They fixed my drain and I am now happily washing dishes and laundry again. I would recommend them to others. read more

Stay away they do expensive patch and rig work! First plumber they sent out did not caulk after changing out drain stoper! I should have known he was special did not even know how to use GPS! Second senior plumber with over 30 years expierence claimed he would fix the leak ha all he did was pump a bunch of messy foam in the back I still have a leak under subfloor and I had to pay a real Plumber to come fix it the professional way toatal of$1700. The entire job should have ran $1000 with out paying these idiots!. Stay away from the purple van unless you want to get flushed royally! Superior is horrible!! They charge the hourly rate of brain surgeons. We had a problem with a broken flange that was keeping us from installing a new toilet. Superior said it would be $200 for the flange, and $400 if they also install the toilet. I asked the plumber how long it would take, and he said they price per the job and not by time. We had problems getting another plumber to fix the issue, so we agreed to let Superior fix the flange. The guy cut the old flange off, went to his truck and got a "repair flange", and left 15 minutes later. $200 for 15 minutes of work? Complete rip off!! Why was this repair $200!?!?!? read more

I have waited to write a review for a while to make sure that the job was well done. It has been two years and up until this weekend I was satisfied. Then I found out the truth. Two years ago I had both stems in my two showers replaced by Royal Flush because they told me that the problem I had (leaking faucet) was because the stems were bad. They could only get over there between the hours of 8 am-12 am. Nice definite time! The technician pulled out a book with their "base Price" and informed me it would be $295/shower faucet. I agreed and the technician got to work. About an hour later, he was done and was on his way. Seemed like close to $600 was a lot but I am not much of a plumber. About a month later, the same problem occurred and I called and they came out to repair. The tech was another guy and he did not charge me because it was still under warranty from them. That is why I gave them two stars instead of one. I was told by both techs that I would need new pipes because they were old and would need to be replaced to help with the lack of pressure in the showers. Two years later: Last Friday (9/27/13) I called a local plumber for a leaky faucet and he informed me he could be there (at my house in Tucker) at 10 am the next morning (Saturday). 10 am, not between 10 am and 4 pm, but 10 am. He was there at 9:50 am and said it would be the stems that needed to be replaced. After installing the new stems and waiting 4 hours I was given the reason. The previous stems (all of them) had broken apart in the pipe, consequently causing the water pressure in the pipes to be low. So, the four hours were to clean out the pieces that were stuck in the pipe. He had to make about 20 trips to the street to turn the water off and on to get the pieces out. Cost for all of that, $275 total. I have taken the best shower in 11 years in my house. I felt like those commercials of people holding on to the shower bar so they don't go flying. I feel cheated from Royal Flush, that they were more interested in getting their money, then really giving a thorough disgnostic and fixing the problem. Instead, I got a patch job. You have the info, you make the decision, but you have been warned! read more

After discovering a freeze damaged pipe, I called Royal Flush as a new customer and my first impression was already off to a good start with the friendliness of their customer service rep. I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time and our technician Jeff appeared at my home when scheduled. He did a great job helping me feel at ease about the the work that needed to be done, explained what he planned to do and presented me with a written invoice in advance so there were no surprises. I was so impressed by the end of their visit that I had already recommended them to a friend who had been without water for even longer and whose technician from another national company had not shown the day before. Royal Flush was out at his house ahead of schedule the very next day and got him living with running water once again too. It's always great to find a good service provider and even better when you find one good enough to recommend to your friends! read more
