I got a text when they were on their way and they arrived on time. The plumber told me what was going on with my sump pump. They even clean out some of the build up. He was super professional and gave me a good idea what my options were to fix the pump. Typically I am prepared for the person to charge some crazy price. This did not take place. Their office sent me my options to consider. When I reviewed the 2 options they seemed fair. I read my of their reviews on Yelp before I called them and frankly the reviews seemed too good to be real. I decided to try this company and I saw first hand that their reviews are legit. I plan to use this company for any plumbing issues in the future. I just bought our house recently and I have had some really questionable vendors come out to our house for different projects. Yelp is a great resource. I use it all the time before I call a company for service.

Justin looked at the issue, offered several quick fixes and made some suggestions we can do without needing expensive repairs. To be sure, when I do need any plumbing help in the future (because with a house it's always "when" not "if") you can bet Steady Flow will be my first - and probably only - call. Just as a side note - I had two other plumbers come out to review the same issue. One said it would cost $1000K+ to fix, the other recommended replacing our 6 year old water heater (which is working fine btw). Many small plumbing companies are being bought up by private equity firms, which push expensive and unnecessary repairs or products to pad their bottom line. So low my washing machine won't run. I called mainline plumbing to come out and see what could be the issue, explained that they did work in the yard and house next to mine says before. When someone came to my house they had no record or idea that their company did any work next door. So they went under my place and said they would have to rip through all the insulation to see if they could even find a problem. I asked about the valve they replaced on my neighbor's after fixing a broken pipe, bc maybe they could look at that part of the pipes. Once Again, no idea about what that could be. They needed a map of underneath my house and was going to see if the office had any or he'd need to tear through my plumbing. He left. He never came back. To my house. Walked off. No phone call either. My water worked perfectly for years, until Mainline was repairing next door and turning off and on water. I thought they would know what work was done so it could be looked at, or maybe what they had replaced need to be replaced in my pipes too. The level of disregard for their work and inconsiderate way of treatment is shocking.

This company has changed. And not for the better…read more A week ago I called to schedule an appointment for a leaky faucet in my house. An AI voice answered the phone, asked me why I was calling, told me it was going to look up my account details, said it had a problem and that someone would contact me to follow up, and then hung up on me. A few hours later I got a text from "Cameron". I complained to "Cameron" about the experience I had from the AI phone answerer. "Cameron" apologize and told me that such an experience would frustrate him too...then "Cameron" decided to be transparent with me and tell me that he was in fact AI as well and "his" real name was "Carson". We went back and forth about 6 times to explain the problem I was having and to set up an appointment. Then "Cameron" told me that the time we worked out wasn't confirmed yet and that someone would be calling me to confirm the time. Thanks, "Cameron". This was Friday around 4:00PM. THE NEXT MORNING, a human being (I think) texted me from the same number to confirm the appointment. After I let them know how unhappy I was with the AI scheduling service, a human (I think) did call me and apologized for it. Then, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived an hour and a half after the 12:00-16:00 window we had set up. I had to call them at 16:30 to ask if the technician was coming and they told me he would be there soon. When he did arrive, in the middle of me making dinner for my family, he told me that the faucet would need to be replaced and that it would be $750 (!!) in labor to fix it. Then I was charged $83 for his time (which I guess would be rolled into the service). So, in the end I still had a leaky faucet and I was out $83 with the option to pay $670 to replace a faucet (plus the cost of the faucet itself). For that price, I'm just going to do it myself. Then the spam texts started coming from "Cameron" asking about the estimate. I got one every day until I told it to stop texting me. This company used to be great but I'm going to be looking around the next time I need a plumber. Please ditch this stupid AI system. Please don't charge your customers if you're extremely late for your own four hour window - especially if the diagnosis takes five minutes and is "I can't fix it - replace the faucet".
