Repeated issues. The thermostat is junk, the system installed is loud (remember to ask next time if I ever purchase new); apparently power is irrelevant because it's stopped working because it doesn't have WiFi, but the entire house has WiFi. I'm over it. Now I have me and my 19 year old trying to replace the thermostat ourselves. Lovely. Update: they came back and helped me. Beaux is great! read more

Had a water heater that blew up after 12 years. Water everywhere and I wasn't able to reach the water valve due to my disability, man that sucks. I contacted 3 folks using the internet. I've found using the phone first ends with phone tag and not success. Cahill sent me an email in a few minutes followed by a SMS text. It was a Saturday morning and I knew I couldn't wait long. I told them the story and in about an hour they were at my door. Turned off the water and discussed what had happened. I believe the plumber's name was Brian, forgive me if I'm wrong. He was helpful and patient. I asked him for an estimate to replace and in 10 minutes he had a number and was able to do it the SAME DAY. Sadly that's crazy these days. I agreed to the price and within 3 hours he'd brought the water heater and installed it, no issues. He really busted his back to get the tank in and the pipes moved properly since the tank was a bit larger than the previous one. Cleaned the location... more than it was before hand and out the door like Santa Claus. I'm sure I'll be calling them in the future. read more

We called Cahill's for a quote on a host of plumbing work items and ended up going with them when we couldn't stand waiting our the 14 year old water to heater to fail anymore. I'm glad that we did because they found clear evidence of leaking in the past, perhaps it was temporarily repaired by previous home owners. We went with a 65 gallon heat pump water heater and couldn't be happier with the product and service we received from Steve and Brian. Cahill's is a friendly bunch and they came highly recommended by many other contractors in the Maple Valley / Hobart area, so we were convinced. Steve even called the manufacturer to explain some of the nuances of our home and how best to install the water heater, as the heat pump based units have different installation methods depending on the application. I appreciated this without simply jumping into doing whatever the standard thing some plumbers would do. Brian also helped to install a new hose bib that had been defunct for years in the major fixer upper home we purchased. Steve also fixed our leaking toilet seal and ensured that the structural integrity of the subfloor was not impacted. All around, just a great bunch of guys. The price was a little higher than some other bids, but quality of work, timeliness, and dedication made it worth it. We will call again when we need in the future. Highly recommended. read more

Seems the older I get, the more people take advantage of me. This is absolutely the last time I will ever call them. There should be laws against companies like Cahill Plumbing.. On second thought, I felt compelled to edit my review to only ONE star. Can't bring myself to giving anything higher after being ripped off. By the way, they had to run back to their shop because they didn't bring the right parts. Why is that my problem? Two hours..$75.00 rental, $102.00 material, and $1,100.00 labor. $1,297.05 total. These guys are honest hard workers. Our rental seems to be coming up on season in its life that it needs some maintenance and repairs, and we use Cahill for anything that comes up. Leaking toilets, slow draining sinks and tubs--they've taken care of it all, and always wear masks and keep our space tidy (and are very nice to my dog). Today they came out for a mystery leak. They figured out the problem, took care of it, and then told us they weren't going to charge for their work today because they had been out before and think they should have caught it earlier. They are padding their time by sending people to watch or train another plumber, and charging you for both. Very overpriced, would not recommend. read more

I found this company from a mom's Facebook group, where these dudes were raved about. After 4 really expensive quotes from Yelp bidders, I gave Cahill's a call. I might not get a "track your contractor arrival" app with this company, but so what. The quote was a third of the cost of the highest bidder and Cahill's dudes figured out a far less invasive approach to getting a new waterline connected for a frig. My only criticism (and it's minor considering the awesome experience) is one or both plumbers were smokers, but there was zero lingering smell when they left... unlike one of the others bidders, who reaked and lysol didn't even help. Ugh. I will be calling these dudes from now on! read more

Last night the kitchen sink backed up. After trying boiling water, then plunging this morning, I decided it was time to call in the professionals. I found Cahill's Plumbing website, called, and within 30 minutes two polite and friendly guys were at my house, masks on. Well, there were a few issues to resolve, including some sub-par pipes under the sink. But they rooted out the problem, showed me how I could solve the problem myself in the future, and were on their way within about an hour. The amount they charged seemed reasonable. Once again this business came through for me. I called around 11 this morning and scheduled them to come out Monday to look at an outdoor hose bib that was leaking. About 2 PM today I got a call asking if they could come by today. Jason got here about 3 and took a look at the issue. The seal had cracked and needed to be replaced. Twenty minutes later the job was done and Jason informed me that there was no charge. Cahill's had re-piped our house during a bathroom remodel two years ago and the work was warrantied. I was expecting a typical plumbing bill so to hear there was no charge was awesome. Jason as bd his partner were pleasant and took appropriate safety precautions based on CDC COVID guidelines. Of all days to get a leak in our plumbing, Christmas was the one. We could hear the leak in our upper floor, but water was coming out on our lower floor. Luckily, we caught it in time and shut off water to our house so no damage was done. Hoping for the best, we waited until Dec. 26, a Saturday, to call Cahill. I can't recommend Cahill Plumbing highly enough. They charge fairly, know their trade and can easily troubleshoot, and prioritize customers based on need of the job. We have a complicated hydronic heating system that most plumbers in the area wouldn't touch. Steve and Russell came out on a snowy day (they had to park two blocks away due to the hill/ice), as we had no heat or hot water. They came up with a temporary solution so we could get heat right away, and then came back the next week with a permanent fix. Cahill's connected a waterline for our refrigerator last year and neglected to install the cutoff valve. My husband was not happy that they cut holes in our ceiling as well. We found out about the missing valve when the movers tried to disconnect the refrigerator. We called Cahill's and they are threatening to charge 600.00 for something they should have already done. read more

Last year Cahill plumbing gave me a discounted rate to reinstall a water heater that I had paid the friend of a friend to install (incorrectly). So when I moved, they were the company I called to replace my water heater. They scheduled me for the next day and Russell (the owner) patiently responded to several texts regarding my research on the most highly rated water heaters. Ultimately his advice was right on, Blackford White RE 250 or 350 were the best choice for me. (Read actual consumer reviews about Rheem- they are not reliable.) Steve and his son arrived on time and triumphed over the obstacle course that housed my water heater. They provided a metal platform with legs that they set the new heater on with a heavy plastic tray under it. My old one sat on a piece of sheetrock on the concrete garage floor. They also replaced a connection that was leaking... and without my researching and requesting either upgrade :). After installation Steve answered more questions- he knows everything about how water heaters function and why some features are better than others. He showed me how to reset the temperature and how to tell when/if the pressure bulb is failing. The price was more than competitive. I would give them 10 stars if I could! read more

NEVER USE THIS PLUMBER!!!!! This is the worst experience that I have ever had with a service provider. A two man team were sent to my home to inspect an plumbing issue. No one communicated any issues or how much it would cost to repair. After a hour and a half of work, a bill for $900+ was issued. I would have expected an assessment of the work needed and an estimate, but nothing, just a bill. How does 1.5 hour of labor and $150 part equal $900+? Can anyone answer that? It is sad to see a company trying to take advantage when our country is in this pandemic. read more
